It's the first time in my 28 years of life, that I feel sad about a stranger dying. And by sad, I mean as I would feel if a close friend passed away. I still can't believe he is not with us anymore.
I'm with you. I've heard of celebrities passing away all the time. When I found out Chester was gone, my mind kind of skipped over it the first few days thinking it wasn't real. It set in and I realized he was actually gone and it felt like I lost my brother all over again. I didn't realize that I was so attached to him and his music. He helped me through so much when I was younger, but I didn't realize how strong of a hold his music had on me. I can't help but to cry when listening to Linkin Park any more. Almost a year, and it still hurts, and I never even met him.

It's hard to believe since his music is still living through our lives. I tend to believe its the best way to honor him, i still listen to them from times to times and i still remember how vulnerable i felt then and how strong his voice made me feel. He definitely gave a precious gift to all of us.
I know exactly what you mean!! EVERY day I wake up thinking that the news of Chester's death was a nightmare. Then I get into the shower to cry because I realize that it is real.; he is gone. As I am dressing and getting ready for the day, I listen to "In The End". I cry and scream at him shedding all my emotioncry some more. My entire day is then full of memories and reminders of the gifts that Chester gave me. I have not listened to even ONE song or band band besides LP since his death. "Crawling" begins to play and I am consumed with a sadness that is so deep and real that it is hard to breath or think. Many people I have talked to have had similar experiences while dealing Chester-less world. This kind of grieving for someone that you dont know personally do not know proves beyond a shadow of doubt the Chester Bennington touched lives, changed people and created a better world through his immense talent. I cry myself to sleep most nights with the realization that I will never see him again...I will never give him his drink after the show. Never again will I hear his beautiful voice or his contagious laugh ever again. My dear friend, you will be missed...
When you grow up listening to a group like, Linkin Park, the band becomes a part of you. There is a connection that can't be described. Chester had a profound effect on my life. If I needed a place to go and get back to myself, Chester got me there. I needed a psych up prior to a big match, Chester gave me the motivation. I was in the dumps and needed lifting, Chester brought me up. Linkin Park was there for so many of us, many times at our lowest. No matter the situation we could always turn to the lyrics and vocals of Chester. Chester Bennington, we miss you so very much, you have touched the hearts of countless people. You pulled us out of the darkest moments of our lives. I breaks our hearts to know that we were unable to do the same for you. RIP my friend.

I used to listen to Linkin Park when I was 15 years old. I lived in a spanish-speaking country. I didn't understand 95% of the lyric but all I knew is that I loved it. I used to workout between 10pm and 12am and I would listen to them during that time. Even after doing over 400 pushups the music kept me going.
You still have a lot of very good LP live concerts to watch here on TH-cam.. Of course live is different feeling and energy.. Keep him in your memory and heart. Peace
When I was younger,I could never understand why or how someone could take their own life. And I looked down on those who did....but now,as I've lived through 58 years of life...I've learned that depression and what goes on in the world and how complex the human brain is,and how it processes this life sometimes is too much to bare.I hope you found peace my brother.Thank you for what you gave us all-

Man I wanna say that I’ve been to the pits of hell with depression and anxiety. Feeling like I’ve lost everything. It’s not easy and it hurts a lot of the time. But one thing I always did to help cope with my pain. Was prayer. And hoping and writing lyrics. Opening my heart for my words to leak onto the paper and let my words become something more than a bad memory. But something to uplift others and most importantly, show myself that no matter how bad it gets. You have the strength to carry on you have the people around you to lean on. Now I don’t know if you believe in the power of prayer. But you will be in my prayers @Soul Hunter. You can make it through. I believe in you more than you can imagine.

Chester was my idol, the reason I began to sing. The reason I became a vocalist. His lyrics always hit so close to home, I always felt like even tho we never knew eachother we had a connection. That's when you know your idol isn't just an artist, but a part of your life. He wasn't just one more light, he was a light that kept so many othera shining bright. Rest in peace Chester. I'm glad I have been able to live long enough to see this tribute. I have been dealing with some dark thoughts over the last 31, almost 32 years of my life. There are some bands whose music spoke to me in a way nobody else in the world could to give me a reason to hang on. I am grateful to Chester for his words that helped me silence those voices that told me to let go. They have tried to talk, but Chester has out-screamed them. After his passing in 2017, I started realizing even more how much his music meant to me. I hope this world is taking notes on what it means to have compassion for life the way Chester and so many other greats have. This tribute is a beautiful arrangement in the honor of a gifted vocalist that had a dream for a brighter future than we as a human race had a past.

I left Linkin park playing upstairs, was having a conversation with my family, heard the Numb tune and thought 'Damn', quit my conversation, ran upstairs and just listened. Absolutely beautiful, keep it up! Lots of elements and a great range of sounds perfect for each song, you really did nail this, awesome.
This is beautiful! Linkin Park was my favorite band in high school during the early 2000's. My best friends and I would listen to then, trade CD's, download songs from Kazaa and LimeWire, listen to them during road trips, before games to get pumped, and during sleep overs at night. I'm 33 now, my best friends have all passed away and I feel so incredibly alone. I have a wife, great job, everything to be content with but it's all outweighed by my love for all my buddies that are no longer here. This music helps to take me back those more colorful times, thanks!

When your three, and all you know is that youre loving this song for all the songs, then,at 14, you walk outta your 2nd mri thinking you might have cancer, and you learn whats happened it feels like your dreaming, that no, the guy thats helped you through so much is just gone. I’m so close to crying. I grew up listening to Linkin Park and when I heard about Chester’s passing, I was heart broken. All the members of Linkin Park are hero’s to me. They were the original reason I wanted to make music. They are a major reason for why I am who I am today. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be the person I know today. I personally don’t want to know what I would have been. I’m happy with who I am now, and they’re a major part of why. I know Chester wasn't all of Linkin Park, but he was definitely a big part of our lives and an even bigger part of Mike, Haan and everyone else's lives. They lost a family member and we lost someone who understood us. I'm grateful for this. I'm grateful for Chester and pray his broken soul is at peace

Chester would have loved it. It is perfect.. every song. I saw them for first time in June 2017 in Madrid. I had the meet and greet and gave Chester a hug. I am 30 now and I have been listenning to LP since I was 15.. Seeing Chester getting into the room was.. one of the best moments in my life. Seeing him singning.. I have been waiting for that moment my whole life. That day I made 900km just to see them. I went to sleep at 6am and got to my work at 9am. And I wasn´t tired.. I felt happier than never. I primosed to myself to go to at least 2,3 concerts in 2018... :(:(:( I listen almost 80% Lp so since he is not with us I really miss him. Rest in Peace Ches- We love u
With Love from Europe. I start with Linkin Park my first step´s as a Teenager, they stand with me as my heart was broke the first time and they heal it on the the most beautiful way i can imagine.. Now, after Chester has gone - my heart was broke again .. but like the Band, you found the most beautiful way to heal it again. To echo Chester's words from the Milton Keynes Live album, "this is f****** amazing" I started listening to Linkin Park from the very beginning when I was going through a bad time in my life. I'm now 60 years old and still love the sound. Chester's passing really saddened me, the first musician to make me feel like this. This tribute is lovely beyond belief. A brilliant beautiful composition. I thank you in my tears.

Just like how the music aged and progressed, it's as if we (the fans) aged and progressed right along side Chester and all of LP. His passing has left music a void that won't be filled for generations to come.

During middle school I was trying to find myself amongst my peers and it was really hard not to put on a shell or a mask but Linkin Park as a collective with Chester's Demonic, Angelical, one of... if not, hands down the best voices to ever grace my ears musically ever since I started listening to music. Chester and the rest of Linkin Park and the music they made gave me something to go to when you really couldn't speak to anyone else at that time period in your life because nobody would understand you because you couldn't even understand yourself. Chester and Linkin Park gave me strength when I needed it. They gave me hope, they gave me the courage to become an individual when I was lost in a crowed sea of people. I can't even count the number of times that their music helped us misfits, fit in... I used to be suicidal. I tried many times to take my own life in the past. The happiest people are sometimes the ones in most jeopardy of taking there own life. I have not tried in years. But after hearing Chester did so we have to always pay attention to those around us. I'm now dealing with a daughter who tried and it is heart breaking. This symphony touches my heart on a deep level. Thank you for this.
Love your daughter to the teeth. Build a place for her to be safe. Be the safe place in the world for her. The place where she can find love and safety. We as dad have an important responsibility. She will go out to look for a man that carries your values. Be sure to be an example. Be sure to show her that even when things get tough she can always come back to you and find comfort, an ally. Linkin Park was the first band i really started listen to, when i was a teenager. They left a mark on my whole music taste over the years. me an my friends never had money for concert tickets, but we always said to each other, dont worry the time will come ;) when the message of Chesters dead arrived in 2017 i cried my eyes out. It was like i started to realize how fast time goes on. A person i loved even tho i never met was suddenly dead. Even worse he killed himself. It fellt like a good friend died and i couldent tell him how much i looked up to him the entire time. I just wish that he can be happy now. That he's free and looks down at us and that he wont suffer anymore. I miss you so much Chester! We all will never forget you.

It's the first time in my 28 years of life, that I feel sad about a stranger dying. And by sad, I mean as I would feel if a close friend passed away. I still can't believe he is not with us anymore.
I'm with you. I've heard of celebrities passing away all the time. When I found out Chester was gone, my mind kind of skipped over it the first few days thinking it wasn't real. It set in and I realized he was actually gone and it felt like I lost my brother all over again. I didn't realize that I was so attached to him and his music. He helped me through so much when I was younger, but I didn't realize how strong of a hold his music had on me. I can't help but to cry when listening to Linkin Park any more. Almost a year, and it still hurts, and I never even met him.

It's hard to believe since his music is still living through our lives. I tend to believe its the best way to honor him, i still listen to them from times to times and i still remember how vulnerable i felt then and how strong his voice made me feel. He definitely gave a precious gift to all of us.
I know exactly what you mean!! EVERY day I wake up thinking that the news of Chester's death was a nightmare. Then I get into the shower to cry because I realize that it is real.; he is gone. As I am dressing and getting ready for the day, I listen to "In The End". I cry and scream at him shedding all my emotioncry some more. My entire day is then full of memories and reminders of the gifts that Chester gave me. I have not listened to even ONE song or band band besides LP since his death. "Crawling" begins to play and I am consumed with a sadness that is so deep and real that it is hard to breath or think. Many people I have talked to have had similar experiences while dealing Chester-less world. This kind of grieving for someone that you dont know personally do not know proves beyond a shadow of doubt the Chester Bennington touched lives, changed people and created a better world through his immense talent. I cry myself to sleep most nights with the realization that I will never see him again...I will never give him his drink after the show. Never again will I hear his beautiful voice or his contagious laugh ever again. My dear friend, you will be missed...
When you grow up listening to a group like, Linkin Park, the band becomes a part of you. There is a connection that can't be described. Chester had a profound effect on my life. If I needed a place to go and get back to myself, Chester got me there. I needed a psych up prior to a big match, Chester gave me the motivation. I was in the dumps and needed lifting, Chester brought me up. Linkin Park was there for so many of us, many times at our lowest. No matter the situation we could always turn to the lyrics and vocals of Chester. Chester Bennington, we miss you so very much, you have touched the hearts of countless people. For me that was Karen Carpenter. Whenever I am feeling depress I would put her on and she would would lift me up. I love Linkin Park as well.
I used to listen to Linkin Park when I was 15 years old. I lived in a spanish-speaking country. I didn't understand 95% of the lyric but all I knew is that I loved it. I used to workout between 10pm and 12am and I would listen to them during that time. Even after doing over 400 pushups the music kept me going.

Man I wanna say that I’ve been to the pits of hell with depression and anxiety. Feeling like I’ve lost everything. It’s not easy and it hurts a lot of the time. But one thing I always did to help cope with my pain. Was prayer. And hoping and writing lyrics. Opening my heart for my words to leak onto the paper and let my words become something more than a bad memory. But something to uplift others and most importantly, show myself that no matter how bad it gets. You have the strength to carry on you have the people around you to lean on. 2023 and still listening. I find this so comforting and beautifully done.
I'm glad I have been able to live long enough to see this tribute. I have been dealing with some dark thoughts over the last 31, almost 32 years of my life. There are some bands whose music spoke to me in a way nobody else in the world could to give me a reason to hang on. I am grateful to Chester for his words that helped me silence those voices that told me to let go. They have tried to talk, but Chester has out-screamed them. After his passing in 2017, I started realizing even more how much his music meant to me. I hope this world is taking notes on what it means to have compassion for life the way Chester and so many other greats have. This tribute is a beautiful arrangement in the honor of a gifted vocalist that had a dream for a brighter future than we as a human race had a past.

I left Linkin park playing upstairs, was having a conversation with my family, heard the Numb tune and thought 'Damn', quit my conversation, ran upstairs and just listened. Absolutely beautiful, keep it up! Lots of elements and a great range of sounds perfect for each song, you really did nail this, awesome.
This is beautiful! Linkin Park was my favorite band in high school during the early 2000's. My best friends and I would listen to then, trade CD's, download songs from Kazaa and LimeWire, listen to them during road trips, before games to get pumped, and during sleep overs at night. I'm 33 now, my best friends have all passed away and I feel so incredibly alone. I have a wife, great job, everything to be content with but it's all outweighed by my love for all my buddies that are no longer here. This music helps to take me back those more colorful times, thanks!

When your three, and all you know is that youre loving this song for all the songs, then,at 14, you walk outta your 2nd mri thinking you might have cancer, and you learn whats happened it feels like your dreaming, that no, the guy thats helped you through so much is just gone. Chester would have loved it. It is perfect.. every song. I saw them for first time in June 2017 in Madrid. I had the meet and greet and gave Chester a hug. I am 30 now and I have been listenning to LP since I was 15.. Seeing Chester getting into the room was.. one of the best moments in my life. Seeing him singning.. I have been waiting for that moment my whole life. That day I made 900km just to see them. I went to sleep at 6am and got to my work at 9am. And I wasn´t tired.. I felt happier than never. I primosed to myself to go to at least 2,3 concerts in 2018... :(:(:( I listen almost 80% Lp so since he is not with us I really miss him. Rest in Peace Ches- We love u

To echo Chester's words from the Milton Keynes Live album, "this is f****** amazing" I started listening to Linkin Park from the very beginning when I was going through a bad time in my life. I'm now 60 years old and still love the sound. Chester's passing really saddened me, the first musician to make me feel like this. This tribute is lovely beyond belief. A brilliant beautiful composition. I thank you in my tears.

Just like how the music aged and progressed, it's as if we (the fans) aged and progressed right along side Chester and all of LP. His passing has left music a void that won't be filled for generations to come.

I never got to meet him cause I live in Germany and I still go to school (9th Grade.) And I never could effort a ticket for the shows.. During middle school I was trying to find myself amongst my peers and it was really hard not to put on a shell or a mask but Linkin Park as a collective with Chester's Demonic, Angelical, one of... if not, hands down the best voices to ever grace my ears musically ever since I started listening to music. Chester and the rest of Linkin Park and the music they made gave me something to go to when you really couldn't speak to anyone else at that time period in your life because nobody would understand you because you couldn't even understand yourself. Chester and Linkin Park gave me strength when I needed it. They gave me hope, they gave me the courage to become an individual when I was lost in a crowed sea of people. I used to be suicidal. I tried many times to take my own life in the past. The happiest people are sometimes the ones in most jeopardy of taking there own life. I have not tried in years. But after hearing Chester did so we have to always pay attention to those around us. I'm now dealing with a daughter who tried and it is heart breaking. This symphony touches my heart on a deep level. Thank you for this.
Love your daughter to the teeth. Build a place for her to be safe. Be the safe place in the world for her. The place where she can find love and safety. We as dad have an important responsibility. She will go out to look for a man that carries your values. Be sure to be an example. Be sure to show her that even when things get tough she can always come back to you and find comfort, an ally. That's the least we can do.

Linkin Park was the first band i really started listen to, when i was a teenager. They left a mark on my whole music taste over the years. me an my friends never had money for concert tickets, but we always said to each other, dont worry the time will come ;)
when the message of Chesters dead arrived in 2017 i cried my eyes out. It was like i started to realize how fast time goes on. A person i loved even tho i never met was suddenly dead. Even worse he killed himself. It fellt like a good friend died and i couldent tell him how much i looked up to him the entire time.
I just wish that he can be happy now. That he's free and looks down at us and that he wont suffer anymore. I miss you so much Chester! We all will never forget you.
