I’m thrilled to hear that the videos have been helpful as you start your 3D printing journey! Thanks for watching, and I hope you continue to find the content useful. Happy printing :)
I think it's funny that Bambu said their printers were the end of bed slingers and yet here we are. Still tempting to get one. I liked that auto change over to a new roll.
@@ImaginationToForm Thank you for the comment! It sounds like you appreciate some of the features Bambu has, like the automatic filament refill. I'm really happy with the switch myself, it's made a big difference in my projects. If you decide to go for it, I hope you find it as beneficial as I have :)
Your dedication to documenting your progress is appreciated. 🙂 I oil the X axis the same time I do the Y axis. The Z less often since it sees the least amount of movement. Maybe in the future bambu will update the fw to do what you though it would with the AMS. As long as there's filament loaded, it makes sense to keep the print going from 1, 2, 3, 4, then back to 1 and repeat.
@@NWGR Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your maintenance routine! I haven’t yet lubricated the X-axis on my setup, and hearing your approach makes me think I should start doing the same. I agree, it would be fantastic if Bambu updates the firmware to allow more flexibility with filament slots. Nonetheless, it’s still an awesome system and great for using up old spools of filament too :)
Been watching the vlog videos. Doing good. I have a P1S and starting some production of parts that will be PETG . I’m torn between adding another P1S or the A1. I don’t think I can go wrong with either but I just love the P1S
I think you may be surprised by the A1. Yea it’s a bed slinger but I’ve talked to people who say the A1 makes the X1C feel dated and same for the P1S. Also prints are identical quality for a fraction of the price. A1 is definitely an amazing printer. I actually chose it over the P1S just for the fact it has a touch screen I didn’t like the navigation in the P1S. If I knew how good the app was though I’m not even sure that would of mattered. If you don’t need an enclosure I’d try it and if you aren’t happy just return it for a P1S if you have a micro center near you it makes it easy to do so. Just keep in mind it does need a tad bit more room since it is a bed slinger.
@@RBallarddesigns Thanks for watching the vlogs and for your support! It’s great to hear you’re expanding your production with PETG. Both the P1S and the A1 have their strengths, and it sounds like you’ve had a good experience with the P1S. It’s ultimately about what best suits your specific needs and preferences. Each option has a lot to offer, so whichever you choose, you’re headed in a good direction :)
@@jhautz817 Thanks for the tip! I've found that washing the print plate has helped with the release, making it manageable without needing extra materials like glue. I try to keep the workflow as efficient as possible, so avoiding additional post-processing steps helps a lot. Again I appreciate your input and will keep your suggestion in mind!
Hey, doesnt t that metal scraper blade damage the textured PEI bed? I've seen blogs about not to use it on the textured plates but maybe im mistaken. Just a heads up! Love the process videos.
@@ugur5395 Thanks for your concern and the kind words about the videos! The metal scraper provided by Bambu is indeed quite dull, which minimizes any potential damage to the PEI bed. I use it very sparingly and gently, mainly for parts that are really stuck. So far, I haven't noticed any harm to the bed. It's always good to be cautious, though, so I appreciate your heads up!
Sorry for my somewhat dump question, but ,*what* is it you're printing these plates for? I watched several video's but I can't seem to find any clue ..I'm curious 🤔
@@winandd8649 No worries at all, your question’s a good one! I appreciate your curiosity. The plates are part of a larger project I'm working on, but I can't share too many details about their specific purpose just yet. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for future updates where I might be able to reveal more!
Why are you printing one at a time with the scrapers and the tall vertical prints on the upper machines? Load those build plates up with clones you can probably get 4 or 5 of them in a single build plate. Let them run and don't have to touch them nearly as much. Run I bulk if you are printing the same thing every day. You can probably get ahead on those vs the flat ones and then open some time to use the upper machines to print some flat parts as well.
@@jhautz817 Thanks for the suggestion! I print one at a time to ensure each set is completed together, as I need matching parts ready simultaneously for assembly. It helps maintain consistency and quality across the products. However, your point about bulk printing to save time and optimize the use of the machines is a good one. I’ll consider adjusting my process as I continue to streamline operations. Appreciate your input :)
I think that *maybe*, when you were on the filament screen and clicked spool 1, if you had clicked the Load button, it might have continued. I could be wrong, though.
@@IgnusFast Thanks for the suggestion! I actually tried clicking the Load button for spool 1, but it remained grayed out, so I couldn’t select it at that time. It's a good thought, though, and I appreciate you pointing it out :) It seems there might still be some limitations with the current firmware on handling these transitions. Either way, it’s a great system for using up old filament spools :)

Also if you put a little glue stick or bambu liquid glue on the build plate the petg won't stick quite as hard and chip your parts
