You have Horschig's book so I assume you're very familiar with McGill's big 3. Have you found any benefit from using it as warmup, to prime the core for training? I wasn't convinced about all of the stuff, but I must admit training somehow felt nicer when I tried doing McGill's big 3 before training sessions for a while.
Hey lads, what do you think of the moving core exercises like landmine rotations, bent presses and weighted side bends. Are they good to build strength or dangerous for the back.
i noticed this about a year ago 4 years into lifting that highbar requires more of a proud chest and tight back for upright position vses having a fully braced core. I started to add core workouts and tried to engage my core during my squat and honestly its so uncomfortable. When i say uncomfortable i dont mean like "im not used to this yet" i mean more like trying to stay upright tight back and brace my core and a proud chest makes me feel like im going to shit my organs out of my body uncomfortable. Personally i feel like ab engagement on highbar just isnt as possible vses lowbar where the bar pressure is lower on ur back and a proud chest is literally not existent. also it doesnt even make sense to me, like imagine bracing ur core while keeping your chest proud it literally doesnt even feel physically possible. I feel like this is because when your chest is proud it stretches the abs a bit making it so engagement feels more difficult. but then again wtf do i know im not a trainer or dont have a degree in kineseology so take my experience with a grain of salt👍🏽
I don't these type of workout but still interesting to see what other people do. Also, I watch a lot of Jeff Nippard I like how he explains things and the science.
Can't believe you've got me doing all these core exercises on the squat program then not doing them yourself, I feel a right mug
I'm the real mug for not doing them 🤣🤣🤣
This video has so much core value
I see what you did there
I braced myself for this vid
Keep bracing
Im running RTA 1 and Sika Pull. The core work has made me feel drastically more stable late in my working sets when Id typically see some hip shift.
This wouldn't happen if you jumped forward during the snatch and ate 20 eggs a day. My name isn't carlos btw.
Jump forward on my back squat could be the answer
Great comment. Needed that laugh.
It caught me off guard and I about fell over. Just watched that video before this one.
Thanks!
Damn Eoin you are looking jacked.

How much of that is the result of the whip in the bar? Would a powerbar or squat bar decrease the issue?😊
If i was new to weightlifting bars it would be contributing but I always use weightlifting bars so it's a relatively new weakness for me
Last night I was having "CORE" issues. Tonight will be better.

You gotta be hardcore for squatting heavy safely.
11x240kg 🤯
This video wasn't a waist of time!
Iran did WHAT
57 views in 7 minutes? Bro fell off
@@cavernofcreaturesgym it was because of his weak brace. He's working on it 😏
