@MasconLeather I spent my career in the explosives industry. Just started leather after I retired. Easier to lose a finger in leather than playing with dynamite. 😅😅😅
You know Art, in all the videos of yours I never thought to ask "Do you make your own clicker dies" for cutting out some of your more common shapes? As always great to see you and Chloe cutting it up. Cheers!
How long do you let the glue dry? I would love a whole video on the "Why's " of leather. I absolutely became addicted after watching you're video's. Thank you for all the tips and tricks! Subscriber for life! I also ordered a set of Bump Jigs, waiting for them as we speak. 🎉
Hello there. Awesome work! I am totally new in lathercrafting. Can you please share what did you put on the back of the skin at the beggining of the video? Some sort of wask or glue? Also the product for the edges before sanding it? Much appresiated!
Love your designs, how did you get starting learning to make patterns? I'd like to learn how to make patterns. I'm all for do and learn, but would prefer to start with some good reference or guidance. Just wondering how you got started and your journey to where you are now. Your pieces are beautiful!
Beautiful wallet❤. I really like the copper riveting and the tone of the leather. For me personally, I would need something with a thinner profile. Maybe a simple bill fold, i think, check book style. I've always used a checkbook, but it's never exactly ideal. I guess that's where a custom order would be something to look into
Freakin art as usual! I am curious about the hole punch that can go through 5 layers of Horween without making a huge taper on the side it’s going in from. Is it a name brand tool or just one of the cheapy kind?
That is the issue that’s plagued me for years. Still does. That damn taper. No one will resolve this issue. I use KS blade punches. Still has the taper. But I use a smaller punch and open hole at small end with the tool as you saw me do. Still too much taper, but not as bad. Need someone to make less tapered punches
Hey man! I restarted to do a leather works, had a long gap. but hey! what do you pt on leater before you cut the parts, what is this white thing? bigup from Estonia 👍
I'd really like to know what you use on your edges, it looks much more watery than the Fiebing's edge kote I've been using. I think the Fiebing's would be too thick to use in the pen system you're using. I've bought several different roller type devices but still have issues applying it to edges, it's so frustrating. I'm sure you've been through lots of trial and error to get your edges so perfect so it'd be understandable if you didn't want to divulge all the secrets to the mysteries of the edges, but any tips would be very appreciated.
What size stamps do you use? I’ll be ordering my first ones but am unsure as to what size to order? Not sure if the measurement is for the backing of the stamp or the actual logo.
TH-cam in USA dont allow you to copy the comment or offer english translation? That is really weird because everywhere else in the world (and i have been in a lot of places watching channels from many different countries) you can copy the comment and translate on your own or youtube have the english (or french as I am french) translation available on every comments. 🤨🤔😄 anyway i enjoy your content and humor in any language and country. Thank you for all the informations and tips you are giving to the leather craft enthusiasts and Tools is definitely a great band to listen to when crafting. 🤩🤘And by the way what kind of leather are you using in this project even though i know you are very loyal to Horween tannery.
I've haven't worked with leather for too long, but long enough to know it takes a lot of skill to make this look easy.
Awe !!! Thank you for this !

Are those acrylic clicker dies? 😮
No. Wood and metal
@@MasconLeather ah okay!
Love your work. Where do you get your stitching chisels? I have been looking and haven’t found any that have more than 10 teeth.
Mind me asking is that a watercolor pen? That you used to put the dye on the edges.
Yes. Exactly
Totally awesome...☺☺
Thank you!

Cool wallet, love the style. My dog went ape sh1t when Chloe barked. What kind of bike was that?
Thanks !!!
Bike is a Honda shadow converted to a bobber.
Cool. Is that deck of cards made like credit cards?
Almost. They’re soooo slippery.
