I think it's also influence. Corazon was saved by Sengoku, while Doffy was founded by criminals.
Law was in a similar spot. Corazon saved him like Sengoku saved him.
It's not as simple as u just put it , first doffy was older then corazan and was a big brother the life they led was rooted in doffy a lot more then corazan , also when they started to experience hell doffy was the one who was doing everything to survive and keep his family safe (which is why he hated his father so much since it was him who brought hell up on his family) he was one of those guys who were chosen to have conquerors haki which means doffy was not a type to submit easily which gave him a strong character ( good or evil) ultimately he broke and his heart have birth to hatred and evil , but corazan was rescued before he could start creating any strong feelings or evil in his heart
Honestly the love Cora-san showed a kid like Law is inspiring. I’m not surprised Law grew up and dedicated everything to his memory.. that’s an unbreakable bond between them no matter what

When Shakky (Rayleigh's wife) introduced the worst generation and eventually X Drake, she actually said Diez Drake.
His dad Diez Barrels was in the navy but he went rogue. Drake used to look up to his father when he was a marine, but ever since he became a pirate he started abusing Drake so Drake fled the moment Doffy applied the bird cage, i bet he doesn't even hold a grudge against Doffy for killing his so-called father.
That's why i love X Drake although he didn't have the most screen time, isn't the strongest but i relate to him the most.

I mean found family is the most important thing in One Piece. So I don't agree with what y'all said about Doflamingos group not being real family. That IS his family. Just how the Straw Hats are Luffys family. All of the main cast don't have currently, or never had a biological family. (And even when it became important to the story, the storytelling just reafirmmed that blood connection means nothing.)
I think the only blood relation that was good was Robin and Ussop with their mom.

Doflamingo kills his family for betrayal. Luffy believes in his crew even when they openly betray him. I think thay makes doffys less real, because he treated his bio family the same way.

I'm surprised Jerry is the only one who is going hard for Doflamingo. He's an absolutely incredible antagonist, and definitely in the conversation for top 5 anime villains. Personally I think Crocodile is slightly above him as the best One Piece villain, but not by much at all.

@@Chestermayfire They're very similar in terms of how they positioned themselves as heroes within their respective nations. I initially had Doflamingo above Crocodile, but after re-watching Alabasta, Crocodile had so many contingencies in place to make sure that his plan would succeed, he just ended up being a more impressive antagonist to me. The only significant downfall for Crocodile is that his subordinates are largely disappointing, but I feel the same way about Doflamingo's crew.

Their positions are almost exactly the same, except we got back story and real motivation from doffy, he to had a lot of contingencies but he went up against a whole group of very strong people. Croco got taken down by a haki and gearless Luffy tho, so I personally like Doffy a whole lot more
It's funny how one of the best characters Oda created isn't appreciated by this lot. Mad respect for Jerry for being the only one who understands the greatness of Doffy's character. Tbh there aren't many antagonists is anime who stand up to Doffy, and yes stop comparing him to Danzo. It's just way too disrespectful.

The definition of Bravery is not being unphased or not scared in dangerous situations. Bravery is being scared shitless but acting despite your fears. This is what Usopp does on the strawhat crew everywhere they go, he's a coward and the weakest on the crew, but he still manages to contribute to their overall goals and conquers his fears to get him out of situations other people wouldn't be able to. Pat was right when he said Usopp is already living his dream, but the only thing is Usopp hasn't recognized that himself yet.

705 in anime was chapter 766 in manga where Iichiro oda draw in the frontpage of chapter 766 that Luffy and Naruto eating together because Naruto Manga ended that time, while Masashi Kishimoto draw a Strawhat Pirate Logo in the forehead of Naruto's face curved in the Mountain in the last Chapter of Naruto, chapter 700.
I love how Cora used the words Aishiteru to law (I love u) because that is the most highest level of I love you someone can use or say to someone special to them in japan. I love Law and Cora will always be a great man that save law from m=being free and setting him back to who he is now.

How can you dislike a villain to such an extent where you start appreciating how good of a villain he is? Which other mangaka has such extents of knowledge, not just in Japan but also knowledge of other countries. Corazon is a Spanish word meaning Heart and what was Law’s pirate crew called since his first appearance? The “HEART PIRATES”. I really don’t think the world of manga has ever seen a true “Writer” like Oda, and his levels of writing and storytelling was never matched by even the most popular mangakkas and I really believe “Oda is the King of the mangakas!” ❤️😭😭😭😭✌🏼

Franky? Check
Zorro? Check (though he was more defending himself from Luffy's rampage and then just got pissed off at his stupidness and went for real)
Usopp? You already know...
Chopper? It wasn't a fight, more a comedic chase, but he changed his tune when Luffy and Sanji were going to mess with those birds. So not really, but there was at least confrontation.
Nami? Again there was confrontation. She did Luffy so dirty before that classic scene in Arlong Park. And that's how women like Nami fight. I'll just chalk that up to yes as far as there was antagonism and before she got her staff, Nami "fought" differently.
Jimbei (who has promised to join the Straw Hats after he takes care of his business so I'm counting him...) Yes! He roughed him up quite good when he slammed him up against that wall and woke Luffy up about finding his crew again.
Vivi? (Yes I count her as an unofficial Straw Hat) Yes... they even had a title card Luffy vs. Vivi if I remember correctly.
That's a pretty long list in retrospect.
Are all the fights all on the same level? no. But every one has had some kind of beef or antagonism, or confrontation with Luffy at some point. How could you not when your captain is so hard-headed AND stupid. His feeling and emotional level is off the chart and he would make a great empath, but he is a moron (according to the regular people)

I'm with Jerry on Doflamingo being a great anime villain. I will have to make a list but he's definitely in my top 7 out of a top 10. Me personally I like Doflamingo over Pain and Orochimaru. Blackbeard is my favorite villain in One Piece but I think so far Doflamingo is the best villain in One Piece.
