In episode 1 Coby stood up to alvida saying he had no regrets and luffy saved him. 487 episodes later he does and says the same thing to akainu and shakes saves him. The fact that shanks is luffys role model makes this save so poetic.

I think Coby has some unknown Haki, like literally i feel like he knew people were coming to save him and acted out, in marine ford war we obviously get to see him unlock observation haki, but in marine ford they made it seem like it was the most powerful thing even though obs haki is the most common type, so coby prob unlocked the see into the future obs haki all in one go
@@ghazanjazz8689 He unlocked a special form of observation haki that has been shown with Fujitora in Dressrosa. Coby unlocked the type where you can read people's energy. Whether they're happy, sad, angry, or if they simply disappear. If you know about the future observaiton haki, then you probably know Coby is already pretty strong post time-skip.

The real world is on more fair terms than the world of One Piece- you can shoot someone dead/ they can shoot you. In One Piece, the strong can take anything you throw at them. When you see the people you look up to, crumble- your belief in survival shakes. When the crutches around you break, you can't help but fall apart.

Shanks got the Strawhat back but it was at Luffy’s lowest point. Powerful moment for the halfway point of the series. The best is yet to come.

Benn Beckmen is Shanks’ first mate. Goes to show how powerful the Red Hair Pirates are if the first mate is able to make an Admiral think twice before making a move. Though by the end of the series I fully expect Zoro to be able to do the same.

Kobys speech was such a powerful example of his character. He wants to be like Luffy, so he does what he wants, and accepts the consequences. He was ready to die when he said what he said, and I think thats a power in of its own.
It is revealed when Shanks talks to Whitebeard earlier, that the scar above is eye was given by Blackbeard. He says something along the lines of “I’ve gained many scars but this one is throbbing the most rn.” And he mentions he didn’t drop his guard but Teach did give it to him

Shanks is so strong that he is only character that is alive that Kaido has on his list that cab possobly kill him.

In that same episode Shanks clashes with Whitebeard he tells them Blackbeard gave him the scar and it wasn’t cause he was caught slipping. He knew Blackbeard was way stronger then he was letting on & Blackbeard was up to something.
Yes!!! There is something wrong with both Luffy and Blackbeard and it is usually mistaken with plot armor. They won't die no matter what, and while Blackbeard knows this (He is careless but he is somehow certain he will survive, for example, in Impel Down), Luffy doesn't know this, the only one who has noticed this in his crew is Sanji

coby's observation haki is awakening. its not that he can hear the ppl's deaths with his ears. he can feel their voices in his mind and he can see them all fading away as they die. observation haki can be used in a lot of different ways....like telling the future

Coby was using observation Haki in here! This was the first time he used it and he didn’t know till after the war! That’s why he was able to feel everyone’s presence fading.

Shanks appearance is mad hype and it brought so much nostalgia. Ended off Marineford so well. Nobody wanted smoke with him, he sonned everybody lmao. Easily top 5 favorite characters. Luffy and Shanks were literally so close to reuniting too. This isn't that long of an arc, it's about 30 episodes but so much happened in it to where it felt long which is the great thing about it. Glad you guys enjoyed Marineford. 🔥

This isn’t necessarily true. Even Blackbeard realized now isn’t the time to fight Shanks. Literally everyone is injured in some way, shape or form. A fresh Shanks and crew would be a bad idea. If Kaido did end up making to Marineford, he would have leveled things even worse. Sengoku isn’t dumb either. It is a relief Shanks is there as he would be easier to reason with. So it would make more sense to avoid further destruction and have everything end there with Shanks’s arrival.
The databook said Shanks is invinciboe when angry which is why everyone agrees to his demands. Trying not to make him.angry.

Shanks enticed him with piracy after finding out what his name was (D.) and him eating the gum gum fruit. Shanks began telling him what freedom is for a pirate on sea and and that the king of pirates is the most free. Because he’s who his captain proceeded at laugh tale.

I remember this scene like it was yesterday. One of the most hype scenes..I hope, we get more epic moments similar to this one in the current arc. (I'm still reading, i'm not going to spoil)
Honestly, the peak of One Piece in my opinion was
Skypiea (Robin and Nami's fight was 🔥 🔥 🔥 also, the creation around the arc was one of the best in fictional concepts IMO)
Water 7/Enies Lobby (The story, choreography, fight, etc)
MarineFord (The story of Ace and Luffy, the war, Whitebeards death, Shanks appearance)
These arcs hold the most special places in my heart. The amount of surprises, and adrenaline that pumped through my veins was out of this world.

@@Vary180 True, but before we even got to Enies Lobby, we were left with the fight within Skypiea. What happened in Enies Lobby, doesn't take away from some very amazing moments in Skypiea.
@@haunai7140 well to me, the only good moments in skypiea were luffy taking out eneru's attack, and him ringing the bell. and of course the poneglyph and message from roger. sure some side characters took some dubs but they weren't very exciting fights. the rest of the arc was way too dragged on and luffy had more trouble fighting an annoying side villain than the main villain. idk it's a great concept of a place but the arc itself is one of my least enjoyable ones, whole cake being the worst one. and i love one piece, i'm just talking about the experience i had watching. i loved every arc except for WCI, SKYP, and long ring.
@@Vary180 Oh for sure, the concept and design of Skypeia was spectacular. But, for example the fight between Robin, and that bigger guy, (not gonna spoil because people be swearing they still at the start of One Piece 😂) was one of the only fights I remember where Robin, without the help of any of the crew was able to take down one of the stronger opponents. Ever since then..we haven't gotten much of anything like that again..not for Robin, at least. At that time, she got really lucky considering her own strength..which could've been on par with the weaker trio (Chopper, Usopp, and Nami)
I don't know if it was mentioned but before shanks lost his arm he was considered mihawks rival/sparring buddy in swordsmanship
Yall are both right. It simply wouldnt be ideal for the Navy to fight Shanks right after Whitebeard. Also, an emperor popping up would make even the strongest fighters in this show nervous.

People got to stop sleeping on Shanks. He is a Yonko for a reason and honestly he would clap all three admirals in a fight. Shanks has all three types of Haki and is one of the few people alive to wield advanced Conqueror's Haki.

Up to this point Shanks is probably top 3 or 4 most powerful characters in One Piece. I really want to see him fight somebody to see how strong he really is. The same goes for Dragon i would love to see him fight as well. I forgot to mention Shanks's and Dragon's crew as well they should also be pretty powerful.
Not sure if anyone already said this, Koby "hearing" the voices of all people in the battlefield should mean he is developing his observation haki. Also, his ability should be fairly impressive (when trained and developed) as his experience is similar to Skypea's Mantra ability, remember the little girl that could "hear" the voices of everyone in Skypea.
Nobody understanding Pat's point that fighting the Red Hair pirates would just be the start of another war after they just finished a devastating one. Good thing RTTV are not in the military lol.

, in this episode, there were 2 flashbacks about Shanks, one of them is his past with baggy when he was on Roger's ship and the scar wasn't on his eye, and the other flashback when he lost his hand the scars were present, and as a reminder when Shanks came to Whitebeard he told him my hand Don't hurt me, but this scar hurts me, and the one who caused it is Teach.

Patrick got the common sense. It’s not pure fear of shanks. It’s more that they just had an entire war with Whitebeard and allies and then a fresh Shanks who’s on the same level as WB without health issues pulls up.
Shanks does not have any devil fruit. He's yonko level on pure strength of his owm and his crewmates.
