- The Church infallibly teaches the dogmas that [1] Purgatory exists and that [2] by our suffrages, we may assist the souls in Purgatory. As November is the month dedicated for us to pray for the poor souls, we should make the extra effort to assist them by our suffrages and indulgences. When man sins, he incurs a guilt of stain and a guilt of debt. Through his own confession and contrition, every man must be forgiven of the guilt of stain. However, as members of the Church, we can help pay the guilt of debt owed by others. A basic catechism on indulgences and the Church’s spiritual treasury is helpful. Note how This teaching is based on the more fundamental dogmas of [1] God’s sanctity and justice, [2] the malice of sin and its consequences, and [3] the Mystical Body of Christ and Communion of Saints. One great way to become a saint is to try to gain a daily Plenary Indulgence for souls in Purgatory....1.PRAY FOR POPE'S INTENTIONS, 2 CONFESSION EVERY TWO WEEKS, 3.DAILY MASS,4 PROSCRIBED WORK, 5. NO ATTACHMENT TO SIN.

Satisfactions? Atonement, yes.
To repair something would mean reparation, yes. Restitution.
