Can you tell us a bit about the corps of engineers? I myself am a licensed quality control engineer. I'm sure you know what QC engineers do considering that you worked in the biotech industry. Would my skillset be applicable to corps of engineers or any other branch of the army?

Sir: I’m 32 and I have a terrible undergraduate GPA: 2.55. (I’m doing great in Grad school though 3.8). I’m having trouble with recruiters taking serious putting together an officer packet for me. I know my GPA is bad, but I had a 93 on the ASVAB, can do my APFT (now it’s different I know). I guess I’m wondering your opinion about the GPA? They say I need to enlist because the board will probably not accept me, I’ll have to try a second board but will be too old by then (officers they say have to be shipping to BCT by 33). Thanks for any advice.
Man that’s tough. You would hope that honesty would prevail. Keep asking around and see what the MEPS physician would waive. A lot of people leave out information on their applications but I know many who believe that is wrong. Keep the conversations going with recruiters and get all the advice you can gather from them and others who have worked with them.
