I just love this song. I first fell in love with Sparks music 1974, when I was 15. And then it took 49 years for me to find them again. And now I feel like a sparkling person.
In answer to the question; "Which Sparks album is the best Sparks album?" Isn't it obvious? It's whichever Sparks album that you are currently listening to!
Sparks are not that well defined...and I'm here for it! Probably just me, but this feels more "Sparks" than the new album's title song. So good to finally hear the rest of the album, so good.
When the documentary was released, some people were concerned by its length... I certainly was... I wished that it was an hour longer, in fact. Great band. Great guys. Qué Dieu kes protege.😀
"You are like a fog dealt from the sea......" This song is one of my absolute favorite Sparks songs ever. It's so beautifully written. My first favorite is "My Baby's Taking Me Home". Both have gut wrenching emotion. I love you, Sparks!!!!!! Thank you for every song, and for those to come. Please play NYC!!! xoxo
Ron and Russell have written some of the very best song lyrics, and always wry, - a steady drip drip of intelligent humour. (sorry, I should be waiting in the car).....
Absolutely not that well-defined. This song could have been on a 1974 album just as well as on 1984, 1994, 2004 or 2014 album. And it would sound great on any of them.
@@brianwoods2395 I still go back to Halfnelson and Woofer. Utter bliss. However, the other 24 albums still contain gems. These two "oddballs" define music. I have loved them for half a century.
@@brianwoods2395 Not as challenging as Plagiarism! In fairness to them, they didn't want to do that album. What was going through their minds when they did the soundtrack to Annette is anyone's guess. Still, the guys that gave us Moon Over Kentucky and Equator are to be lauded.
For me, this is the best song on the album, lyrically and musically.
Yes. This & When You Leave. ❤

I am amazaed that people still can write this musisc in these times. I am thankfull. It lifts my heart
I've loved Sparks for at least 3 minutes and I can say without any reservation that this song saved my life.
I have loved them for 49 years, 4 months and 36 minutes, but it's cool you love them.
It certainly saved this album from being irrelevant
@@Super_Virgin Northing Sparks do is irrelevant.
Love them the words to this song are so clever

Wasn't sure at first, now it's one of my favourites. The lyrics are special
I figure that RONALD MAEL should have his place as one of the Greatest American Composers since 1974.
Amazing....incredible, magic, brilliant...impossible to be well defined...just SPARKS❤❤❤
Sparks can't do no wrong love to Ron and Russell from a fan 49 years. With love❤❤
The minute I heard this song I thought a James Bond movie. I can see the opening scenes! Amazing song
Me too!
a SPARKS-hit with a great punchline - why isn't it in the setlist of the tour for the album? ... 'now that is art'
And yet another formidable song.
I'm glad Sparks are still creative and producing music. I hope they enjoy their days spent in 75 degree weather with lots of sun.

Beautiful. Love Russell's voice on this !
You have to have something special to last 50 years in this business
These guys are fantastic.
I'm in awe. And then some.
Awesome.
how I have missed Sparks¡¡¡ this is a gift¡¡¡ Love you guys ❤🔥
Utterly captivating!!! Those beautiful strings sound like an exhilarating threat. Tremendous
brilliant, thank you, the lyrics the music brothers thank you
This hit home with me... for I too am not "that well defined"...

I’m at a loss . Just amazed,
Loving the new album, it's my favorite since Gratuitous Sax
Gratuitous Sax is probably my favorite Sparks album too.
Uff! Vilken bra låt. Vilken bra text. Hoppas jag är tydlig nog. 😉 Jag tycker det är deras bästa album på länge❤
Ja, dat klopt.

Reminds me of some Beatles songs... in a good way🎶
My favorite song from the last album ❤
My favourite song on the album, the lyrics make me nostalgic for a certain person...

Quite possibly the best on the album! I might attempt a music video for this one.
A very good song!
Just about sums me up. Great album. Love Sparks.❤
Absolutely stunning! I have always loved them!❤

Anyone here also trans/nonbinary??
Disappointing and forgettable. Not a patch on the last two albums.
!!!! Maybe not as good as their 1st two....self titled....an Woofer in tweeters clothing.....but in reality, every album by Sparks is quality. ...
