Can't believe people are critiquing the 'crying at the gym' line as 'boring' or 'mundane.' Clearly, that's the point of the line. I think it works so well in the context of this song, particularly in juxtaposition with the 'cosmic love' where she felt 'heaven struck.' Crashing down from that magical, euphoric experience into a disappointing reality, at the gym of all places, is exactly what heartbreak feels like.
In a previous song she references fixing herself over and over to make her miss him. Now its over and she is in the gym “getting herself fixed up” just like she said she would in My boy breaks all his favorite toys. ❤ Part one of the album truly seems like a carefully crafted story.
