I discovered this today and it has given me all the possible physical reactions. I haven't felt this since I discovered Inferi like 6 years ago. I'm literally sweating, overwhelmed, excited and I can't really believe the amount of riffage, the melodies, that Within The Ruins touch, the chugs, the vocals, THE FUCKING MIX... Behold one of the best modern metal masterpieces ever created. HOLY SHIT

made sense too. HOAC were going in a direction you just knew he didnt want or that suited him. They went from my favourite band, to not really bothered by them anymore the second Jamie left. Ive basically followed him from band to band my active metal life. These guys replace HOAC in my life
This is how modern extreme metal has to sound. Tech Death, Deathcore, Metalcore... call it how you like. This album has it all mixed up in a perfect way.
Don’t think this is their first but it’s the first since Jamie from Heart Of A Coward joined. HOAC are like one of my fav bands so when he left at first I was gutted but now these guys have released this. I think I’ll get over it haha 😂
I’m disappointed with only 14k views. You guys are amazing. Please don’t stop the beautiful art. Nice solid line between metalcore and deathcore. So glorious
Fast, heavy, pounding, epic, melodic, technical, and with brutal af breakdowns all over it. A death metal masterpiece that really defines what this genre has become in 2020. Fuck me this is so goooooood
@@martialmusicman I don't know, this to me sounds more like a modern tech-death with breakdowns rather than plain deathcore. Anyway I called it "death metal in 2020" cause the lines that separate all the sub-genres of death metal are becoming almost invisible, most bans are just getting inspired and influenced by everything and throwing it all together. That why it's awesome, and that's why to me calling it deathcore would mean to not consider all the different influences that make it so damn good.
Materia Films I mean, modern deathcore is pretty much tech/melodic death with breakdowns. Deathcore itself is embracing many avenues of metal creating subgenres within the area. Some bands are a little more slam or downtempo but the popular ones in the scene now pretty much sound exactly like this. Aversions Crown, Enterprise Earth, Brand of Sacrifice, Angelmaker, Lorna Shore, Shadow of Intent, etc. Overall though I agree with you, this album in specific has various influences which is nice
@@TravisRyan9 Exactly! Especially Shadow of Intent, Lorna and Carnifex i think really pushed their limits, but focusing on some influences more than others (black and slam and tech in these cases). While this album is more of a straighforward heavy af death metal/deathcore album with many but subtle influences that don't make the whole album another subgenre, they just fit in super well without changing that raw death metal vibe (don't know if this makes sense but I don't really know how to describe it hahah), that's why to me it sums up the evolution of this music pretty well.
Met the lead singer Jamie when he was Heart Of A Cowards frontman. Amazing guy and amazing bands! He broke my heart when he left HOAC but instantly mended it when I heard this beast of an album!
This is simply a metal masterpiece, pre ordered this ages ago and it's arriving on Monday. Everything Jamie has been a part of has been incredibly amazing, so happy he's still making music. Seeing these dude's open up the faces of death tour in Manchester next Saturday.🤘
I just listened to the new ingested album and I low key didn’t realize the band changed until I heard him hit a really high yell and I LOVE IT!!!! I CANT GET ENOUGH OF THOSE TUNNELS!!!!
I've been waiting for an album like this to release on Unique Leader for a long time. Glad to see a bit more diversity, plus I've been following Jamie since the Sylosis days, and this album is just as exciting to me as Conclusion Of An Age was.
I remember checking this out when it first dropped and not thinking much of it and then forgetting this band existed. I came back after being reminded of these guys with their new single releasing and I don't know what I missed in this album the first time? This album has been consistently stuck in my head the last few days, it's a really fucking great blend of everything!
Theres not many albums i can sit and listen to all the way through without switching up songs but this one right here, is a fxckin banger all the way through ! I especially love the breakdown towards the end of " Immersed in ire ". Very well done VISCERA !
I love all the songs that have singers from other unique leader bands. You got some of the best vocalists in the heavy genre and this singer is one of them! Fucking love the song that Kyle is on! Kind of reminds me of early All that remains. When they didn't suck! And ALOT heavier! 🤘
Deathcore with picky clean vocal what a FUCKIN GOOD MIX really refreshing guys a new way for musicians to learn from you to combined screamo metalcore and deathcore thats the best combined ever thank to you guys i was tired to listen the same bands always do the same style BUT YOU I CAN'T STOP LISTENING YOUR MASTERPIECE ALBUM **GREATWORKS**
One of the most inspiring deathcore albums since the genre was established. I was really hoping for a perfect masterpiece, but sadly Hammers and Nails and Silencium are just not in the same league as the rest of the album. Can't wait to see you guys live Tomorrow 😍🤘
First time listener, decided to check them out since I'm seeing them at Tech Fest. Impressive stuff, if they can pull this off live I should be in for a good time!
I just found these guys last night while playing Risk of Rain 2 and these guys helped me get through 30 levels on monsoon difficulty. Fucking brutal vocals that I love so much😱 there was a sudden tunnel throat scream that had me IMMEDIATELY headbanging
Stellar and brutal.. but kind of a short album though, (36 minutes). But, an amazing half hour that I'll hit repeat on for quite some time. This is now the official welcome back to Jamie. 🤘💀
Wow, first time hearing them and the first time I actually love hearing the clean vocals, wtf. And I personally hate clean vocals in metal... This hasn't happened since the first time I listened to The Human Abstract over a decade ago. Damn. AND THOES RIFFSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Lilith + Obsidian combo is literally one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard in my life.
Best album Iv ever heard. So glad Jamie is back in a band.

Well said mate, indeed a very good mix.
Has to? Nah
Exactly!
Is good but is not brilliant
@@LordZephyroth Cytotoxin for example. :)
For a debut record this is already setting the standards everything track a smasher .....great work that met my expectations
This is their first? I thought they were established just by the sound(pun intended) of it....Holy christ.

One of the best metal albums of all in my opinion 😮😮
The transition from Lilith to Obsidian is nice.
I love that transition
been shredding the fuck out of this since it came out. found viscera on here with less then 1000 followers and yall exploded over night.
This is the kind of band whose live show is usually very exciting, definitely adding them to my must see list when shows are a thing again
Wow !! what a good album !! unique leader again are the best label in the game now !! totally !!
The Artisan Era
I usually equate Unique Leader with quality shit. I can't think of a release that wasn't at least a 7.

Delilah with that sick opening and Viscera are my favorites.
the switch from lilith to obsidian was amazing
My thoughts exactly!! Phwoar
It Has Finally Arrived. Gonna sleep with it, wake up with it, headbang with it, and eat with it.
Dam this band has a really unique sound & rhythm! This slams pretty hard
Sounds like the sick younger brother of Within the Ruins. This is gooood shiiii

This album is god like.
Can't wait for the next album by these monsters!
This needs more marketing, like many other bands.
Regarding the inspirations for this band, I hear some Within the Ruins, Betraying the Martyrs, Thy art of Murder etc. This is awesome, even better...
and Born Of Osiris, Nexilva, Ovid's Withering, Upon A Burning Body at the beginnings... this sounds like EVERYTHING I've ever liked.
@@ReneZZ It just feels weird and kinda sad I haven't discovered them until a month ago
Bought the LP instantly.
The best part about this being a debut album is the fact that they will probably have enough time to play the whole thing live.

I can already hear the next born of osiris. Such an underrated band with a lot of potential
Born of Osiris were really promising in the early years but they lost that awesome, catchy and raw sound. Now it's all just overproduced and generic
sick song
Wow thanks

sounds very good!
brutal syncopation throughout but 7:06 must be fun live
