The entire album is fantastic but "This Hollow Ache" is a song that really hits home for me.
This is an achievement for the genre that I'd consider an all-timer. I cannot stop spinning this album. 10/10 without a second thought.

I'm honestly in love with this album. Since Allegaeon is my favourite band, I gotta say that this comes very close to their earlier stuff. I don't dislike the direction they're going in. But I do kinda want more of 'Elements of the Infinite' and 'Proponents of Sentience'. And Alustrium delivers.
I feel the same about Allegaeon, but I would very much like another Fragments of Form and Function. That is still my favourite album by them.

After a full listening of this album, all I have to say is... holy SHIT. THAT WAS COOL. The songs themselves are pretty amazing but what really gets me is all the small details that tie the songs to each other. The way that the final song comes full circle back to the first song had me jumping in the air, I LOVE THAT SHIT. Very awesome work from these guys and I am extra excited to see where they go from here. KICKASS!
Dude I am EXACTLY the same, especially the way that the guitar solo comes in right at the end and just blows the roof off. Absolute masterpiece this album!

I've been a metal guy for 40 of my 48 years of life and a guitarist for 37. Those last two solos are two if the finest constructed pieces I've ever heard. The last one by Mike is fucking devastating. Then the last "And the cycle continues" just puts a knife in me every. Single. Time.

so this was the best album of 2021 I have decided.
I listened to this on Spotify, but I figured I'd come here to leave my thoughts. This is a fantastic album. I was so impressed with how put together all the songs felt considering how technical they are, and the blending of styles here makes for some pleasant melodies and some moments of beauty amongst all the ruthless riffs. This is how progressive/tech death is done, 100%.

after listening to this multiple times and finally ordering the cd, i have concluded that this is an absolute masterpiece! 10/10 job! Unique Leader came out of nowhere for me at the beginning of 2021 and since then they are putting out so much bangers that i dont have money to spent for CDs anymore!

Everything on this album is competent to good BDM worship with some great leads that elevate it but the title track is in a league of its own compared to the rest of the album. If yall do another album after this one I hope you'll look at this album's title track to build around.

Late to the reply, but Chris mixed it while out on the road with the help from Ermin Hamidovic doing the mastering (since Chris didn't have proper monitors it was a bit of, "hey, you tell me what you think I should mix for this section to hit hard/be huge, etc.,) if I recall correctly. Our most recent EP was recorded after this album and if you want to hear ore of Chris' full mixing and mastering skills, that's all him!
