The reason for the parachute effect is that the chassis is not sealed to the body underneath. I don't run mine with a body at all. I use a nose cone in front made of stiff plastic instead of the stock bumper. No back bumper to cause drag. I use hobby park 2.2 belted Raptor tires on my Slash 4x4 Ultimate LCG - 75mph no problem.
Nice to see you got one Big Gap...and I like your choice of canopy. Yes I heard you trigger a few times and yes just no grip out there. I did have a giggle when you didn't hear the fan running because I was also looking for grass in it clogging it up, then when you seen the connection that's when I seen the front wheels locked to the right and yep no power. Lol 😂... I'm looking forward to more running vids of this one with the guys perhaps on a sunny day. Great vid as always bro thanks. ❤
@@spike-- yea but for 700$ I don't want "metal reinforced" when the competition has steel and for a cheaper price. Tbh I'd have zero complaints about the new slash if it was 550$. It would be a much better deal at that price point and probably no one would be complaining.
WOW !! I said the same thing , and I don't even have one yet , sledgehammers and hex exstentions, I'll be doing both , also a perfect pass servo , right out the box yeeeeeehaaaaaaw !!!!
Is that stock gearing? Seems to be fairly fast. The belted tires aren't going to help much other then keep em from blowing out. Some sledgehammer tires would be Awesome, belted ones. I bought a full set of belted sledgehammers for my x maxx last week, love them.,no more blow outs. Nice video 👍

Looks like the Mojave 4S is much better in the air thanks to its body design.

Traxxas why does this cost $700 and it does not even have a motor fan WTH ??? Daaaam Gina !!!!!!!!
why does it cost 700$ and has plastic driveshafts and smaller while being same weight as the mojave 6s 🤣

Metal reinforced plastic axles. Guess we'll see.

If they don't break(?). Plastic isn't necessary a bad thing.

Good review, good run But how did it feel compared head to head with the Mojave 4s?
Need a few changes for me to say it's better than the Mojave
Thanks for the fast reply
Pick mine up Friday! What do you use to record video? Gopro and a head mount? Great video!
Yes sir that's exactly what I do thanks for watching and enjoy the maxx slash bro
Nice man
I think this fails as a basher and best on the track and definitely not worth 700$
Let's get it💪💯🔥
Yes sir
How about trying the Maxx sledgehammer tires? Might have to trim the body though ... or just run it without the body to give it a try.
Yeah but don't want to mess up that body but I have a plan stay tuned you will see it thanks for watching 💪🏾💯
I 👀 you out there traxxas over priced ✌🏽
🙏💯✊️💪👍
The body is still a parachute, like the original Slash.
