These Double Take mirrors look like a must, not really liking the bug antenna look of the stock mirrors. Also the clunky, oversized rear fender eventually has to go. The TST Industries replacement looks great, very minimal, will pick that up soon. I'd like to replace the front fender with more of a dirt look as well, however the stock front is not that bad. Foot pegs, skid plate, rack & black gas can, were the first things I did. May get the longer shift lever as well, since the wider foot pegs changed the feel. Adjusted the shift lever, which helped, but I thing the longer one will serve better.
I didn’t make a video of the Acerbis install. These are not stock bars they are pro taper cr high bend. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/protaper-se-7-8%22-handlebar-p?s=47747
@@DerekDualSport was the installation of acerbis easier on those? From what I’ve seen, the installation on stock bars involves drilling out the aluminum bars and tapping them. Plus the clutch lever and everything have to be re-arranged. Kind of a big ordeal
I thought the installation on the pro tapers were pretty straight forward. I did have to trim the clutch lever, and there is two plastic tabs that I had to cut off. One inside of the blinker/light mount and one in the mount that houses the throttle cable.
@@DerekDualSport Mirrors, footpegs, handlebars, handgrips, levers, tires are all expected to be replaced (especially on budget bikes) so the factory throws cheap stuff on there just good enough to sell it as a complete bike. The real concern with mirrors on off road bikes, is stripping the mount treads. Double take addresses that issue.
I have those on my KLR. Previous owner put them on and I can see they're very popular and people love em. Visibility is awesome.

Did you do a video showing how you installed Acerbis Hand guards? Also are you using the stock handle bars with those?

Hey Derek what are you going to do about that big long tail rear fender??
I think TST makes the cleanest tail tidy. One day I’ll probably buy the kit but for now I’m keeping it as is.
What camera are u using for the pov in the shed
It’s the insta 360 go 3 it comes with a hat clip mount, makes POV super easy.
Double take mirrors are basically the standard for any offroad MC.
Makes sense, they are super convenient. Mirrors were the last thing I thought about when buying a dual sport. The stock ones were terrible though 😂
