I love the Prison Escape Challenge. It feels like the best beginning for an RP playthrough. A prisoner sentenced to a few years behind bars suddenly finds their freedom thrust upon them, their world turned upside down, and a horde of maniacs trying to kill them. They escape, seeking shelter in a house where they find actual clothes, only to find the television and radio saying that the whole state is being quarantined and to make for Louisville.
I don't know, there's something really cinematic about it. Probably my love of The Shawshank Redemption, but still.

ESCAPEE!!! Good deal, with the car. Glad to see more Zomboid! You got to remember all the little things about the game again. For example, the parking lot blockades can be driven thru. They are the only things you can drive thru, anything else is physical and you will hit it.
Security in those prisons seems abysmal, prisoners all over the place, guys in cells with hammers, so many digital watches, lighters, unbarred windows utter madness.

Your car luck is amazing, if only the same could be said for CDDA.
Things like the health menu won’t pull bandages out of the Medkit. If the container doesn’t get its own button on the inventory sidebar, don’t put anything important in there. You can hold the container and that will work as if you were wearing it.
I think he's just happy to be out of prison
The fact that most of the world is now zombieland is secondary to the fact that he's now free
His chances of survival skyrocket with freedom at least.
That is an insane scenario start. I'd say only 'expert to master' level of the game can even think about pulling it off. That is just SO FREAKING MANY ZEDS!
It's wild and very very luck dependant
You need a window or a fence to attach a sheet rope as well as a hammer and a nail. Also a small ripped sheet hack ripping socks, even bloody socks which are rare, almost always produce all clean rags.
That went pretty well, all things considered. Interesting contrast with the C:DDA prisons escapes - Zomboid is less concerned with locked doors and more interested in dropping a metric ton of zeds on your head in tight quarters.
To be fair I had so many attempts in which we didnt have someone in the cell with a key on them. It's pretty much an instant death sentence

So now you should be able to get settled in Rosewood. Actually you almost got to RW gated community which is a decent base location with excellently fenced mansions.
Alternatively you can travel to eastern side of RW for woodland houses. Or claim RW Fire department... So many good bases there.

Loving this, keep em coming, project zomboid is a great medium for storytelling! :)
Just a heads up if you're wondering why your character gets anxious around the prison: the anxiety is related to the noise the zomboids make, the bars on the windows of the prison are unbreakable so they'll keep wailing away at it. If you plan on making a return trip don't worry about it if you haven't been scratched or bitten.
As someone who has done a prison escape himself, this was pretty well handled and demonstrates a decent level of mechanical knowledge :)

Damn... Well done on escaping, the prison scenario is though for sure.
Just as a future reference dropping from one floor isn't really dangerous, from 2 though you'll most likely break your legs, 3 is survivable but you'll wish you were dead anyways and 4 is 100% lethal haha

Hey Rycon, I noticed you tend to use a lot of clothing. Just before you get inside the blue car (29:58) Wesley gets the wet moodle. Considering the clothing and the 22 degrees I guess he was sweating which contributes to the dehydration. In hotter days I tend to use only jackets because shirts usually dont help much with defense anyways. Love the videos!!
