thank you!! watched several videos and NONE made any sense except for yours!! im wiring up 2 dual 4 ohm 15" power bass into a orion 600D wish me luck thanks again!
if he used separate terminals on the amp each woofer would be at 2 ohms. by wiring them both together in "bridged" mode he is knocking the impedance down to 1 ohm and getting more power out of the amp.
Thank you so much man this was the perfect video and it wasn't forever long... I literally watched 10 videos before I got to this one and this was perfect! Thanks again Sir!....
Curtis Goad Jr Glad it helped you out and your very welcome! Its for positive comments and feedback like yours that i make and upload videos. Enjoy your music and subs!
It all depends on how much power ur running because not alot of people can get 2/0 WIRE in there amp and trust me brotha i hook up many many systems and if ur running anything under 3k u can run 4g for ur power and 10g for ur subs to ur amp but if u have the extra money and yes it is worth it i would go 8g for the subs and u don't need anything more than 0g for ur power believe me and if u can try to get OFC oxygen free copper wire hope everything works out for you my friend BASS ON BROTHA (✌🏼💪🏼🔈💪🏼🔉💪🏼🔊)
im getting 2 of those aswell but i dont know what amp to use. keep in mind im on a budget. what is the smallest amp i can get is what im asking for 1 ohm settup like yours?
Fukkkk yesss. Thank you . There's a lot of videos that wire it different so im confuse AF. Your video was helpful.what gauge wire are you using bro. Thanks again 👍
Why couldn’t you just run the positive to positive and negative to negative then on the positive and negative to the box quick connect and then to amp?
So how do I do this without using a jumper wire? Basically the two wires won't fit into my terminal. So I'm trying to figure out how to connect the wires outside of the terminals on the subwoofer
My box has a wall that separates the speakers so how would you recommend that I do this? Drill a small hole through the wall to link the speakers together? Thanks.
Like I said before why can’t you just positive to positive and negative to negative then positive and negative to the quick connection in the box then to amplifier??
the problem is its not 1ohm stable the amp is rated 170 Watts x 2 Channels @ 4 Ohms 250 Watts x 2 Channels @ 2 Ohms 500 watts x 1 Channel @ 4 Ohms (Bridged) i just burnt that amp up doing the same thing so now im using the 1800watt kenwood and its 1ohm stable at >900 rms
i dont understand why you wire the subs together then wire only one terminal to the amp. i would figure that after you wire the voice coils to eachother then you connect each sub to the amp individually? why wouldnt you do it like that?
once you drop ohms on 1 sub connect it to the terminal out put on its side no need to run a wire like that after the 2 terminals are wired twist them together straight to your MONO AMP! it's pointless to run a set of wires to other side of your box when you can twist them together on the way to your amp ! lol smh 2 4ohm subs can get dropped to 1ohm right to the amp... if you have 2 dual 2ohm subs you can drop them max to 0.5 ohms but make sure your amp can handle it because dropping your subs to a 0.5 is a ridiculous power pull on your amp and your amp probably will double it's maxx power for 20 mins before it blows unless it's a Top shelf amp like A 'T series Rockford fosgate amp, or zx series kicker amp for example nothin cheap will last long at a 0.5ohm load don't waste your money
Saw this video and read your comment hoping you can maybe help me out a a bit i have x2 Rockford P3D2's 2 ohm DVCs the box is a no port dual-separate chamber(ASC Jeep Wrangler custom enclosure). The amp I'm using is a Rockford Power T1500-bdcp it has 4 terminals for "Speaker A and Speaker B" I'm trying to get at least a 2 ohm load to the amp. I'm thinking of wiring each sub to 4 ohm then to the amp as "Speaker A and Speaker B" for a total ohm load of 2 ohms right? The Manual says its wired in parallel internally. That kinda throws me off. So is my wiring right? Soz for the long story.
U should of finished all the way trhu. By runing the wires out to the amp. Would of confirmed/answered my question. Every tutorial video ends the same assuming the rest is common sense.
It basically is. Wire your amp like normal from there on you only have 2 speaker wires to connect to positive and negative. After that it’s all the stuff you would already do for your amp.
That is right. Two dvc 4 ohm subs with all the positives connected and all the negatives connected gives you 1 ohm. The guy below me definitely is a noob haha
Gotta check the rms ratings before bridging up amplifiers so that you don't over tax the amps being drawn from the alternator causing capacitors to corrode
1 ohm or two ohm makes absolutely no difference, it simply depends on what load the amplifier was designed for, what the amp circuits were optimized for. Everything else being equal, an amp built for and running in 1 - ohm will behave exactly the same as an amp designed for and running in 2 - ohms.
Very concise explanation.the audio shop wanted to charge me $100 for this.thank you
Glad it helped!
Wtf lol what a rip offf
the lower the ohm the harder the bass
thank you!! watched several videos and NONE made any sense except for yours!! im wiring up 2 dual 4 ohm 15" power bass into a orion 600D wish me luck thanks again!
Thank you! Now that was plain and simple! I appreciated ...
if he used separate terminals on the amp each woofer would be at 2 ohms. by wiring them both together in "bridged" mode he is knocking the impedance down to 1 ohm and getting more power out of the amp.
THANK YOU BUDDY I APPRECIATE YOUR VIDEO BIG GIME THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I'M DOING TO MINE

Temptation2003 what size speaker wire should i run man , my shit caught on fire today 😂
@@uzzle21 to be safe run 2/0 on everything and 8gauge for speaker wire

I just got 2 8” zvx d4 wire it down to 1ohm bass hits hard sf I mean damn .. thanks for the video
Thanks ima a visual learner so when u make a video like this it really helped
im getting 2 of those aswell but i dont know what amp to use. keep in mind im on a budget. what is the smallest amp i can get is what im asking for 1 ohm settup like yours?
Fukkkk yesss. Thank you . There's a lot of videos that wire it different so im confuse AF. Your video was helpful.what gauge wire are you using bro. Thanks again 👍
Did this to the t and I keep getting 1.8 ohm final impedance what could I have done wrong?
Why couldn’t you just run the positive to positive and negative to negative then on the positive and negative to the box quick connect and then to amp?
How many watts does each voice coil receive?
I know how that goes, you gotta work with what you got. Anyways great video man. I'm sure you helped out a lot of people:)
So how do I do this without using a jumper wire? Basically the two wires won't fit into my terminal. So I'm trying to figure out how to connect the wires outside of the terminals on the subwoofer
What are you doing to have them connected within the box? For instance, if the subs have a partition between them in a dual subwoofer box.
Yea I thought the same
My box has a wall that separates the speakers so how would you recommend that I do this? Drill a small hole through the wall to link the speakers together? Thanks.
PSNCraCkBaBy13 yes drill a small hole just big enough i done it
Like I said before why can’t you just positive to positive and negative to negative then positive and negative to the quick connection in the box then to amplifier??
So your just using one side of the sub box terminals?
Wouldn't it be the same if you took both 2ohm leads and joined them at the amp instead of joining them thru the box?
Yes in my opinion it would be smarter to use both terminal cups and wire each to 2ohm and the mono amp will put it at 1 ohm,
Would that work for the pioneer premier 8 ohm 2 to drop down
Oh ok so you don’t got too use both terminals right I could just use one right?
That wire is way to thin for 2 P3 Rockfords.
whats your budget?
amazing fucking video somebody finally explain this shit SUBSCRIBED
what gauge wire are you using? not trying to hate but looks a tad bit small. but maybe its just the video
How did you run the wire through the box I can’t get it to come through the port !!!
Drill a small hole
WHAT GAGE OF SPEAKER WIRE ARE YOU USING?
JESSE CARDENAS go to advance auto parts/ auto zone and get STRAIGHT COPPER wiring!!! Black and red works like a fucking CHAMP!!!
what's the spec's of the box the height , length and depth
marvdw24 Give me about 30 min and i will go check
marvdw24 Okay so box is 32" wide X 13.75" tall X 17" inches deep
You can also run two wires from the outside to each speaker that will also make it a 1 OHM,,
NONSTOP car audio
how did your subs sound? i was thinking about wiring mine like that since i was completely lost on how to wire them individually.
With a good 2000 watt amp these subs will be knocking along with crossovers and big three
Como conecto un sub a una bocina lightning
I have a 320 watts home stereo reciever should I hook up my 2 15 kickers cvr to 1 ohm? Will it sound alot better?
Because you didn't have much power going to it more than likely lol.
You should build your own box ;)
Are these 2 ohm subs
hey men me puedes dar las medidas de la caja
F ing nice
so what would happen if u wired a 2 ohm sub to 1 ohm and put it on a 2 ohm rated amp ?
burn your amp up over time it would over heat
You do exactly what I said lol actually that’s what I’ve done
@mike mount not necessarily
what type of wire sis you use
8g is low enough
anyone ever till you that you sound like Tom Green?..Either way, thanks for the 1 Ohm wiring video..
the problem is its not 1ohm stable the amp is rated 170 Watts x 2 Channels @ 4 Ohms
250 Watts x 2 Channels @ 2 Ohms 500 watts x 1 Channel @ 4 Ohms (Bridged) i just burnt that amp up doing the same thing so now im using the 1800watt kenwood and its 1ohm stable at >900 rms
What is the result of wiring the subs to 1 ohm? Will it give it more bass or what??
Daniel Flores more power so yes more bass, just makes them hit a little harder.
Thats not at 1 cuz there 4 ohm and the real ohms is 6.2 the dual 2 and 3.2
Speakers are dual 4 ohm
Having 2 dual 4 ohm subs u can wire them together and make a 1 ohm load
i got two 2 ohm DV subs. i have a mono amp @ 1ohm. how could i wire it?
Showing, watch this video and see
@@MayzDayz007 what video?

Yes

Not right for P3 subs look on rockford fosgate.com
the amp will begin to fail then sooner or later die
I tried hooking it up like that but then it kind of fucked up my amp and one of my speakers.
Gotta check the rms ratings before bridging up amplifiers so that you don't over tax the amps being drawn from the alternator causing capacitors to corrode
I bet that made a shit ton of port noise
8gauge wire???????? Hmmmm i pray for your car
Why
I run 8g
That's the easiest way to burn ur amp
How
1 - ohm will behave exactly the same as an amp designed for and running in 2 - ohms.
