It is one of the best synths ive ever used.
Having four synthengines in one synth with 4 sequencers is just incredible!
agree a work of art along with the Octatrack and Rytm the holy Elektron trinity rocks hard.
Weirdly I’ve ditched all the ones you named and returned to this classic (the mk2 though). So inspiring!
Don't forget you can do sound locking so if you wanted extra hi hats you can always use sound locks to put them in on empty steps. I bought the mk2 about 4 years ago, I didn't like it at first either, what made it a keeper for me in the end was the drum sounds you can get out of it, that and it's interaction with modular.
oh I see someone already mentioned the sound pool thing, yea you gotta work with those restrictions.
The A4 IMO is one of the best analog synths around. I have loved it from day 1.
same here and can easily play entire sets by itself. I like using it with Rytm for superb live rig.

One thing I love about your videos is that you give off that vibe of that no Fs (censored because TH-cam) given kid that loves having people over to do some mischief. That kid that would let you play his dad's cool Les Paul custom when he's away, "just be careful and don't scratch it like a dumb ass". I can feel your excitement. I'm not that into your style of music but man do I love your energy. You feel over the top without being over the top and don't over hype everything like OMG this and OMG that. I especially love how you duck the music when you talk instead of lowering the volume, talk a long time, then raise the volume again. I feels like you are playing some sick song on an electric guitar while shooting the sh*t with mates. Love you man, always looking forwards to new vids.

I've just paid up for an Analog Keys to add as a workhorse instrument in my setup, and this gives me a lot of joy when I consider the sounds you're making, and how they will make great sample fodder for my DT as well as using it as an instrument in its own right. Add in the CV track for triggering and resetting my Quadrantid Swarm, and finally giving me a nice keyboard to play my FM synth... Going to give me a lot of flexibility.
Use mine to sequence my sh-09 and ms-10. for the prices mk1s go for bargain for the sequencer alone you can use with most cv gear especially since you can set gate voltages up to 15v

same here the drums are massive and I used that and my Octatrack for drums and bass before getting my Rytm.
I just picked up a MK2 for Christmas...great piece of kit so far.
Around the 5 minute mark the beat reminds me of combichrist this shit will fuck you up, and that's no bad thing at all🤘

Superb stuff as usual.
Just remember you can save sounds and load them per step from your pool, so even with only four tracks you can get even more sounds sequenced ;)

Actually something really cool would be using probability to trigger different sounds from the pool on the same step, or can this already be done? That would actually be simply magic :)
@@blush_response also don't forget that those triggers can be copied from one track to another so you can also have hats on the kick track or maybe even on the sequenced arpeggio one? Great performance as usual! Thanks :)

Love my Analog 4 was my first real Elektron synth and still have it so good. Plus can control modular and analog gear over CV.

I think the MD beats all the other elektron machines
it is ok but crude interface compared to new Elektron gear ruined it for me. Still the MD was my first Elektron experience and wanted one but used prices too high so bought a Rytm MK2 and happy. I sampled a friend's MD so have those sounds if I need them.

Just lacks low end sadly. Dont understand why I cant make sub bass on an analog synth
Check the mkii then. That’s where they changed the circuit to get more bass. Still though, you can’t beat the mk1 price.
