Thank you for the video. Very helpful on the workflow. Sounds great!! Only having 4 voices limitation makes you work harder, but final result is satisfying. Still learning my A4 everytime I sit down with it.
Perfect job ! I was looking for information on the A4 because I plan to buy one, it is definitely the machine that I need with the Octatrack ! Thanks for the video :)
Just got man today. While I have mostly digital synthesizers, my only analog synthesizer is a Pioneer AS-1 (monophonic), I wanted an analog synthesizer. I wanted a Prophet. However, what really pushed me getting the Analog IV MKII is the sequencer. It just makes things so much easier if your DAWLESS.
Great. I have a a4mkII since like 2 months, and just got a Rytm II 2 or 3 days ago. I think the Rytm just from the factory Patterns is more Punchy, Loud and in your face Raw, Low Endish....but the A4 can also do a great job, and is more flexible for the proper other Synth works.
Thanks! Yeah the Rytm is definitely easier to get raw and punchy with, but I do believe that with some love the A4 is more than capable of being nasty. It does however take more work.
Hi - I just received a used Analog MKII that appears in excellent condition. But after testing all the functionality, pushing down on the Sound Browser knob doesn’t always work to select menu items. I have to push the knob two or three times before it goes to a new menu page. This doesnt always happen - it works more than it doesn’t. Is this a known issue with this knob? Everything else seems to be working fine.
@@sindre.pedersen Thanks for the advice :) Ya, its in near mint, everything else works great and even the encoder works when you use it to adjust larger increments (when pushing in the knob). I got it for 900.00 So maybe just keep it and get the encoder fixed at some point?
@@sindre.pedersen Elektron got back to me and told me it’s a known issue to be fixed in update. They also gave me the same good advice you gave and to use the arrow keys and yes/no keys. Thanks!
This is so helpful! Please do more videos with the A4! There is a dearth of meaningful in depth tutorials for the A4 on TH-cam. You're missed too!
Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks a really helpful video to get me up and running.

Excellent stuff. Really love my A4, comes to life with THAT sequencer!
Thanks mate. Agree on the sequencer, it’s the heart of Elektron devices!
Just got man today. Yes, the sequencer makes this synthesizer so much easier to use to making rhythms.
Love the sometimes amusing commentary. Just ordered one!
Thanks, enjoy your A4 😁
That was fun. I have yet to really explore the depths of my A4, but this was certainly helpful for getting started.
Thanks for the feedback Charles, I really appreciate it.
Perfect job !

Cheers mate, appreciate it. And have fun with your A4!
Maaaan! Proper techno ⛓
That was really cool. Thanks for the trip!
Cheers!
That was great!
Best A4 demo
Thanks!
Nice. T2 my favourite :-)
Sound amazing. Thank you.
nice

@@sindre.pedersen Unison mode helps
@@cronenbergj I’m sure it does, but only 4 voices tho 😞
@@sindre.pedersen 4 voices which can be a different voice on EACH step of the sequence.
Very useful video, banging tune 👌🏻
Cheers mate 🤙🏼
Great video thanks and pleased keep these coming 😃
Thanks mate 😊

Sounds like a fault, but just use the YES button - it’s more reliable anyways

hi. how do i get to this initial state? without any notes or sounds inside.. just like in your video
Hi. You go to settings, project and load an empty one. You can also clear a project in the project manager to initialize it.
or hold a track button and hit play to initialize it
Thanks for this! Great to watch and see how your working on the A4. Sub’d :)
Thanks for the comment and sub! More to come, and picking up a mic today for some talking while messing around :)
Cool jam! Which one do you prefer (Rytm or A4)?
Whats the difference between fltr env depth and fltr cutoff? Is it the same thing?
Env depth is the degree to which the envelope is affecting the filter cutoff. Fltr cutoff is a manual control for the filter cutoff.
@@sindre.pedersen Thank you. That's what I thought but I had doubts because it was starting to sound the same with the Elektron gear
i want to get one of these for drums specifically, ehat do you think? still use it for drums? kinda dig this more than the rytm for whatever reason
Gives deeper sound design than the AR, but will take way more time to program. Depends what you want tbh.
Amazingly attractive 👌
Great run through. BTW: what type of stand is that?
Thanks! Don't know the brand, bought it second hand.
Great Tuorail, thanks! Where did you find your wooden panels?
Cheers :)
Thanks! I'm not sure to be honest, bought the stand second hand and it doesn't have any branding
All right
Your tutorial was a cool learning process for me in terms of sound design.hope you will do other like this on A4
@@pierreb8267 Glad to hear it, more to come!
What happened to your Rytm that it needed repair?
Nothing happened to it to my knowledge, just suddenly one day the screen had a line going through it. Was a quick and free fix.
What sound do you use? when I initialize. there is not sound
Just the initialized sound.
@@sindre.pedersen How do you initialize the sound
@@LewisSatini track + clear 🤙🏼
@@sindre.pedersen Thank you
Do you have a written tutorial?
Nope
i think youre side cheeks are on backwards
Haha yeah they are! Did it so it's more level and thus easier to film
I would like it to be an external sequencer. So no choice to buy the A4 and the Octatrack 👊🏻😉
Another question? Will your analog four get hot surface?
In my experience it doesn’t get hot at all. Maybe on the back, but I never checked.
Very Kokomo kool
How do I open big screen mode? Lol jk
Press F ;)
Ad music
Ooof! 3:33! :D
I think you are using the wooden stand wrong way... ;)
I was! The camera angle was alot better doing it that way.
