the most questionable twist was during that one season when Christie and Tommy already knew each other, but it wasn't a twist, they just casted 2 people who already had a minor relationship for no reason.
don't forget about kat and holly knowing each other (and possibly jackson too) which wasn't even mentioned to the audience and only live feed viewers knew for a large chunk of the game.
I wouldn't call their relationship minor, the seemed like pretty good friends outside of the house. The only bad thing on their relationship is the break up between Tommy's Aunt and Christie.
I read somewhere that Tommy was intended to be casted for BBOTT. So, I think they wanted to cast him at some point if they got the chance to. Christie personified, or manifested as she would put it, a more recent archetype (think Kaitlyn from BBUS20 and Kailyn from BBCAN7) they love adding the show. So, I think they still would have been casted even if they were strangers. Their backstory is the reality tv situation of “you just can’t make that shit even if production tried”. On the flip side, I can see still those two together if they came as stranger due to certain bonds they with them identifying as LGBT and being proud New Yorkers. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kat and Holly got casted in light of the fact they wanted Tommy and Christie to create more fairness. Jackson’s connections to Holly (both indirect through people they both know despite never meeting until they did the show and Jackson following Holly on Instagram) outside of the side I could see production not realizing until it was pointed out by someone.

With the Takeover twist, Julie apparently did mentioned in an interview (likely with ET or the Talk) that twist got prematurely cancelled after the third week since the Big Brother thought there was enough going on between the Twin Twist and Battle of the Block.
Wild Card Watson William said that without that twist he would’ve used the regular POV on Kevin, so really that didn’t change the game much except prove how highkey bad of a player William is for not saving both of Bruno and Kevin and making a final 3
@Wild Card Nation I hate hate hated Canada as HOH. Spectators should never have a hand in the game. It's like if the audience doesn't like how the hockey game is going and are allowed on the rink to interfere. Players couldn't cut a deal with the HOH or anything it was based on ratings. Such BS.
I love Pandora's box as long as it's not too powerful. Also if there's going to be a game changing power inside the box then we should know what that power is BEFORE a new HoH is crowned so we know it's not production interference to help a specific player.
I know what it's like to not find out about a sibling until I was 21 and *NO WAY* would I *EVER* want to do that on a nationally televised tv show. How awful😐
i loved pandora's box and the twists of the mystery button like the one that changed frankie from HoH to being evicted because the week was redone, id personally love for those to return. and heck they could even do it as an American vote for what surprise happens a few weeks before hand (so we cant know the HoH or players that it would affect so it should remain fair [ie we vote week 3 and voting ends week 4, but week 8 the event happens]), let us choose if the HoH gets a reward from the box or if its the house that gets rewarded for pandoras box. for the buttton we choose that the week is reset, or a 2nd veto competition is held, or the HoH can compete again for power this week only, etc.
Pandora's Box was really strange to me. I really liked your video on the successes and failures of winning the first HOH competition. Could you do a video on how voting with or against majority affects their game? For example, Kat and Jackson haven't really voted with majority this season yet Jessica seems to just do whatever she wants with no attention. Or even a video about the successes and failure of AFP's.
Some people get vindictive when trying to count the votes and decide to use that as an excuse to target somebody voting differently. It's stupid because most of the time they're already against each other anyways and if they want to target somebody they will find any excuse to do it weather they voted with the house or not. The voting is anonymous, so even if somebody does get blamed for a bad vote they can easily lie and blame it on somebody else. The "voting with the house" is so annoying, they should just vote how they want, and at least the viewers will get to see how they really feel about evicting everybody instead of the fake "I regretfully vote to evict..."
Your channel is really helping introduce me to Big Brother 🇺🇸.. I’m from the UK so grew up with BBUK 🇬🇧 which is completely different.. it’s more of a social experiment and if the housemates on the UK were to be strategic they would probably be hated and the public would vote them out.. I’ve now caught up on season 2, Season 10 and season 16.. and I can say I prefer Big Brother 🇺🇸👏
For a potential topic to top 5 or 10 list, the top floater in BBUS and BBCan, and to prove a point with the floater, either have the clips where Paras won BBcan6 or the jury roundtable where Danielle asked “what so bad about being a floater” followed by Janelle ‘s reply “Because it is”.
See, for 17, they were afraid it would be boring like 16 was, so they did those random twists until they realized that these people were actually playing.
Mark Soucek the power apps twist had potential since I believe some of the power apps were intended to work with each other but ended in week 3 instead of it playing for the full perjury phase or modifying the hacker comp ability to from switching a nominee pre Veto to hacking the app to getting one the power app not selected (I believe part of the Whacktivity twist was to give the some of the used power from last season another shot to get into play). Luckily for Scottie and the Foutte/Hive side, the comp store closed on week 3 because someone better give me a good argument how Brett would not have been top trending in Week 4 had that twist lasted the full time (Had that happen, I want to say he may have picked upgrade (likely what the panic power was except maybe the window the power was good for)
I honestly stopped watching Big Brother a while ago because the show is kind of a joke now in my opinion. Most of the twists have great potential but are rarely handled correctly, the cast are normally just good-looking people that have never seen the show, and I can only watch adults embarrass themselves in comedic antics for so long
Felt the same with The Amazing Race. The atmosphere and adrenaline used to be intense and felt so real, like I was traveling with the racers in a high-stakes journey. But during the 24th or so season, I felt like the vibe changed and the show has turned into some sort of choppy travel vlog that has focused more on doing tasks than showing the teams connecting with the world. I've stopped watching since.
The worst twist ever was the banishment at the start of this season... David never got a chance and he had a good idea of everything going on in the house
I should have watched this a while ago. Anyway, after watching all three videos I noticed that there were some twists that weren't even mentioned in any of the videos. I didn't see any of the jury twists. Reducing the jury down to 7, raising it up to 9, the final two of BB2 each being allowed to cancel a vote and the jury being sequestered which started with BB4.
In Filipino Big Brother or PBB Teen-clash 2010 I think it was, they had 2 games going on at once. Half the teens who were from well off families, or international players lived in this apartment and the other half of teens who were all Philippines born and raised and were from families with a lot less privilege stayed in the house. They even had them interact in weird competitions and events. Like 3 of the international boys from the apartment came into the house out of the blue as smelly ass backpackers and there was a whole thing where the houseguests had to keep an apartment guest from escaping a pseudo-prison. And they had no idea that in a few weeks they would put them all together in one big game. I’d check it out but PBB is VERY different from other western BB with not really any social game being played and it would be cool to see something like this but done again in CAN US UK or AUS
If they bring the coaches twist back, but don't give the coaches a chance to play the actual game at all for the whole season, then I would be happy with it.
That season with Eric as America's player was the worst. Ruined the strategy of the best social player, and turned him to boost the game of the most unbearable player in BB history. I didnt mind the DNA twist much
Do you think Christie staying was productions doing? If so do you think and interesting video would be most questionable blindesides?? I think production does like intervene with the house from time to time and if you do too I think it would be a Good video!
@@anthonymendez1997 actually Vanessa was a really great manipulator. And she had Steve,John, the twins and Austin all voting for her to stay. They were already in an alliance. So she stays if she doesn't have Jackie,Meg and James votes
Yes Christy staying had to be production's doing. This season was made for Christy and Tommy. I would be surprised if one of them doesn't make it to the end
Peridiam, I would like your and anyone’s opinion if you think that some things from this season may been botched or delayed for one reason or another, particularly the following two situations: 1. The Camp Expo HoH comp possibly getting delayed. I’ve seen other videos and comments feeling like it was felt weird that the end of the live eviction episode had the houseguest studying for the quiz instead of doing it l as it typically happen when houseguest are studying materials ahead of time. Do anyone else think production delayed the comp on purpose to allow the insanity of the Six Shooter breaking apart to be fleshed out (and see if a last minute vote flip would happen (that eventually didn’t), even if it meant having the HoH comp coming across as something got mismanaged. 2. America Field Trip getting delayed from the week it was intending to happen. Another weird feeling I read, seen, and feel about myself that it seemed odd how this twist, lasting only one week was teased on week, voting happen on the following week, the the twist happen in the next week (Comparedly, the America’s Prankster power was introduced in the live eviction, voting happen and the reveal happen the next day and played out in this week). I also watched another super fan mentioned they were happen the comp didn’t involve live chickens, which made think the comps got pushed by a week in light a mixture of the PETA controversy and the Six Shooters fallout in Week 5. So, do you think that twist got pushed to week 7 instead of week 6 (reason I’m asking is that week 6 was the final week Christie could her Panic Power, possibly indicating those two twist (the power and twist and not the actual holder of them) were to potentially go hand and hand)
Also there was no actual field trip and am I crazy or was it implied it was going to be some twisted thing, where there is a competition at the location and the loser immediately goes to jury house?
Also am I crazy or was it implied that they were going to send 3 houseguests to a real field trip to some place and there was going to be a competition there? The loser would go to jury house immediately and the second place got a punishment?
famguy222 somewhat. Typically when they are given materials to study (unless quick study) for an upcoming HoH which is normally a quiz, they usually study for it sometime ahead of the live eviction and then do the comp shortly after the live eviction within the same episode. However, they had the houseguests study for the competition at the end of the episode, which come across as questionable.
HeavyMetal 2000 Part of the reason why I think the field trip comp may have intended for the week prior (Week 6) in light of being the last week the Panic Power could be used (regardless of who got it) should the holder still had it. So, I’m thinking the comp was meant to pressure the Panic Power holder to not only use it but use it one the field trip nominee to create a 3rd nominee post-Veto since the DPOV does allow its user, even if it is the HoH, to name their own replacement. However, I remember someone else on a different channel mentioning they appreciated the comp didn’t have live chickens. Part of me thinks the field trip was intended to used live chickens or other animals, even as accessories. However, PETA as well as many people fanwise weren’t not crazy on the use of live sheep in that respective POV comp. So, I think that may have been some changes making that comp seem off.
i have an idea for a twist. ik its a little crazy, but here goes, they double the cast and make 2 houses, like tribes on survivor, theres one big comp for house immunity, and the house that loses plays a normal round of big brother, than once theyre down to 16, they merge
As far as the high school rivals thing. I just do not buy that their grudge was all over 5 dollars. That had to have been editing. Jessica was laster focused on getting her out form that second, and nothing we saw of her in there implied someone holding a grudge over someone they hadn't seen (according to her on the feeds) in years over five bucks... I mean she instantly forgave Eric over the America's Player thing but she held a grudge for years over five bucks to the point the second she saw her it was "get this bitch out ASAP". She had more animosity then the exes or Danielle and Dick who we have learned had a LOT of issues. Not that I think Carol killed Jessica's dog or anything, but I never bought it was all over just five dollars... something beyond that had to have happened.
Let's not forget that while the coaches twist was there to give the vets immunity, a vet was supposed to go home if all of their players were evicted. Jodi left night one. Kara left week one. Danielle was on the block week two. All the house needed was to come together to evict Danielle and both she and Dan would have gone home pre-jury. I think this season did the best job of pulling off a Battle Back for two key reasons: 1) it was pre-jury so David didn't get Jodi'd and 2) everyone knew someone was guaranteed to come back after the first four evictions. That way everyone was operating on the same playing field, the game wasn't too deep, and there was a chance to overcome a fluke eviction. Beyond that, like you said, it's good for houseguests not to expect a chance to come back so they'll play as hard as possible. I'm guessing most of the worst twists will have one thing in common: giving undeserved power to vets to ensure they stick around. This is going to be fun. :)
If I'm not mistaken Dana's ex (named Brandon I believe) was indeed an original link of the Big Brother 4 cast, but was ultimately cut due to a contract breach
With Pandora’s Box, a lot of the game altering changes were poorly executed and ended in some argument being unnecessary. The only game gimmick that worked in some extent was Rachel, the previously evicted juror coming back into the house while Brendon was removed during the time. Otherwise, the Golden Ball In US14 was not needed due to Dan’s funeral and the intended veto competition, I mentioned in a reply how Porsche and Rachel could have potentially or even realistically been the final 2 that season, and how Matt DPoV arguably just switched when him and Kathy got evicted.
The two houses twist has happened on BB UK and other international formats already. Although the gameplay is a lot different so they could get away with more
I actually really enjoyed Pandora's Box. I think those were some of the best moments out of any of the twists. They made for good tv, the suspense was there for just a moment and didn't make you wait throughout the week and the punishments were usually funny.
In two weeks with a new video on the way you should do top 5 or 10 players to have another shot. To me Caleb BB16 and Victor BB18 should be on the list

Agreed. And a lot of the decisions made by the other houseguests are based on them thinking that Christie will turn on Tommy...
That's just a straight up worst twist. To give 2 people THAT big of an advantage in the game is just stupid.
I read somewhere that Tommy was intended to be casted for BBOTT. So, I think they wanted to cast him at some point if they got the chance to.
How awful😐
Can't forget the identical twins that played and kept swapping out in the d.r.
Imagine if the DNA siblings started having feelings for each other before they realized they were siblings hahahaha
Two houses at the same time and then they combine midway? Like two tribes that combine halfway through the compeition? Hmmm....
Peridam, you should do top 10 best and worst punishments. (My fav, Nicole, Cliffs, and Jess's prank week punishment)
i loved pandora's box and the twists of the mystery button like the one that changed frankie from HoH to being evicted because the week was redone, id personally love for those to return. and heck they could even do it as an American vote for what surprise happens a few weeks before hand (so we cant know the HoH or players that it would affect so it should remain fair [ie we vote week 3 and voting ends week 4, but week 8 the event happens]), let us choose if the HoH gets a reward from the box or if its the house that gets rewarded for pandoras box. for the buttton we choose that the week is reset, or a 2nd veto competition is held, or the HoH can compete again for power this week only, etc.
The comment about 2 separate houses playing simultaneously and then merging together; I've been thinking that for years!
I think they did this in the UK several years ago.
@@derekfontenot642 interesting. I've never watched any besides the US show.
The old seasons of UK were gold though! It really focused more on the dynamic between housemates
Almost just scrolled into the comments before watching the new episode. That was a close one!
Always the highlight of my week. His name is Peridiam.
See, for 17, they were afraid it would be boring like 16 was, so they did those random twists until they realized that these people were actually playing.
The power apps and the hacker comps were so dumb
Mark Soucek the power apps twist had potential since I believe some of the power apps were intended to work with each other but ended in week 3 instead of it playing for the full perjury phase or modifying the hacker comp ability to from switching a nominee pre Veto to hacking the app to getting one the power app not selected (I believe part of the Whacktivity twist was to give the some of the used power from last season another shot to get into play). Luckily for Scottie and the Foutte/Hive side, the comp store closed on week 3 because someone better give me a good argument how Brett would not have been top trending in Week 4 had that twist lasted the full time (Had that happen, I want to say he may have picked upgrade (likely what the panic power was except maybe the window the power was good for)
The some of these twists weren't just questionable. They're why people think the show is so rigged. The next video will be very interesting
Bb16 was my favorite season, but even I forgot that Joey was involved in team America 😂
That season is trash and the reason we have huge alliances in almost every season since then that have ruined the gaming
The worst twist in Big Brother history.... ALL OF THEM!
Cliff may be one of the most successful battle back (camp comeback) winners. He probably has made final 4, and maybe even more.
Any twist where people outside the house have a impact on the house is a horrible twist
BRUH THAT CRASH SCARED THE FICL OUTTA ME
If they bring the coaches twist back, but don't give the coaches a chance to play the actual game at all for the whole season, then I would be happy with it.
I just finished watching bb17, and I didn't even remembered that that the bb take over existed
Big Brother All Stars 2 is on in a few hours. Watching these in anticipation.
I don't think it was productions doing.
Peridiam ok! 👌🏻
Along with Sis leaving this season, I definitely think Shelli from BB17 got questionably blindsided and was evicted over Vanessa
Peridiam, I would like your and anyone’s opinion if you think that some things from this season may been botched or delayed for one reason or another, particularly the following two situations:
The loser would go to jury house immediately and the second place got a punishment?
the hoh comp was delayed bc they ran out of time on the live show
famguy222 somewhat. Typically when they are given materials to study (unless quick study) for an upcoming HoH which is normally a quiz, they usually study for it sometime ahead of the live eviction and then do the comp shortly after the live eviction within the same episode. However, they had the houseguests study for the competition at the end of the episode,
which come across as questionable.
HeavyMetal 2000
Part of the reason why I think the field trip comp may have intended for the week prior (Week 6) in light of being the last week the Panic Power could be used (regardless of who got it) should the holder still had it. So, I think that may have been some changes making that comp seem off.
make a list of biggest productions pets/most rigged for hg
#1 is "Helen was Pushed", #2 is BB13's Bitchdora's Box giving Rachel the win, and #3 is the reset button for the coaches twist.

phenomenal
Peridium, I hope you are watching this season of Australian survivor. It is 🔥 so far! Miss your survivor videos ♥
I'm a simple man, I see Donny, I click.
Yes I'm a man and I love this damn show! It's the first thing my wife and I agree on.... Lol Love your content Peridiam! keep it up
i have an idea for a twist. ik its a little crazy, but here goes, they double the cast and make 2 houses, like tribes on survivor, theres one big comp for house immunity, and the house that loses plays a normal round of big brother, than once theyre down to 16, they merge
The producers use the battle back when they what a contestant they like is voted out to early.
I love the ending clips so much lol
I want to see a reverse coach season, 4 new players draft a team from 12 returning players and the newbies are safe for 4 weeks
This was a great video man keep up all the hard work. 😁😁
I would love to see Pandora 's box back just once but with houseguests voting to open it or not
Thanks for another great video!!😊
America’s Player on bb16 was perfection. But it did pump up derrick quite a lot tbh
Cliff hogg for president 2020
Chandler: Could the stakes have... BEEN any lower
I definitely prefer casting twists to the other “production” twists.
You watch Evel Dick I bet.
Okay but the MVP twist saved Big Brother 15
If I'm not mistaken Dana's ex (named Brandon I believe) was indeed an original link of the Big Brother 4 cast, but was ultimately cut due to a contract breach
TheKoopaTroop Yeah, Brandon Showalter. He wasn’t Dana’s ex, was gonna go on as a single. He was replaced with Jee.
@@Peridiam Which in turn would have made it 4 couples and 5 singles? Yikes.
(love your videos bro!! can't wait for the upcoming Survivor seasons!!!)
Hey, Peridiam! Are you going to review Survivor: Stanford as it comes out? It would be cool to hear your thoughts on it!
I wanna see that last twist again. Had potential
I’m a typical Big brother fan. I see Donny, I click
As a big brother super fan, would you ever consider actually playing the game?
Pandora’s box is weird because it’s like who wouldn’t open it
How do you feel about prank week?
how the hell do they find two siblings who don't know about each other? do they have to send in swabs or something? the fuck??
The two houses twist has happened on BB UK and other international formats already. Although the gameplay is a lot different so they could get away with more
This is off the topic of twists but I just realized, Nathan is one of the biggest simps in Big Brother history😂😂😂
I mean, I guess evil runs in the family, Dani.
What about America's player from bb15?
