    I just bought a Trimui Smart Pro to play GBA games, and I’m enjoying it a lot. Totally forgot about my Xbox. Having complete, polished games, without the need of an Internet connection, it’s really refreshing.

      Completely agree, having a game that you can pop in and play without worrying about updates or storage issues was refreshing

    GBA is a good console. I kind of played this console in my childhood on my cousin's GBA. I now have some GBA games and am currently playing on my DS Lite.

    Only GBA for 30 days? You'd be set with just MegaMan Battle Network and Pokemon

    • @FranchisePlayyer
      @FranchisePlayyer  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I probably could’ve played Pokemon for almost the entire 30 days but wanted to have some variety. Hope all is well man

    You make me wish I had a GameBoy growing up haha. I might try the 30 day challenge for the PS3 or PSP one of these months. Maybe after Ghost of Tsushima! I bet it was a breath of fresh air playing those GameBoy games during the first few days of the challenge. Thank you for another sick video man!

      A 30 day PSP challenge would be pretty fun, especially with all of the UMD movies! Excited to hear what you think about Ghost of Tsushima when you get around to it. Thank you dude!

    I've been playing a ton of GBA on my modded Vita lately, and it's really so fun! Pokémon Fire Red is a blast!

      Can’t go wrong with fire red! I was playing some fire red on my modded psp awhile back and it was awesome (especially being able to speed the game up lol)

    I might try this next month with a PS3 or my Vita. Great video, man. The GBA is one of the most fun games to kick back and play after a long day and given the concept of the video, I'm sure you agree.

      30 days with only the vita would be awesome. Let me know if you end up doing it! Thanks man

    I love that you did this. The gba is my favorite system of all time. I started with a game boy pocket, then spent most of my time on a game boy color playing pokemon, but the gba was definitely the best of the bunch. I spent so much time on advance wars and tony hawks pro skater 2. Love this system. I actually have been collecting gba games and am somewhere around 275 now.

    • @FranchisePlayyer
      @FranchisePlayyer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow 275 is a pretty impressive collection, what are some of your favorites that you own?

    • @viridionwaves
      @viridionwaves หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FranchisePlayyer My favorite is definitely Advance Wars, though I have to say I more collect them than play them. Some day I'm going to go through and try all of them, but for now, Ive only played a handful. That said my other favorites are Tony Hawk's pro skater 2, the pokemon games, and Turbo Turtle advance. Turbo turtle really took me by surprise. If you like super monkey ball type games, Its a great 2d rendition with some fun mechanics, better than super monkey ball advance as far as Im concerned.
      Other favorites are fire emblem, super army war, doom, moto gp, road trip shifting gears, summon night swordcraft story, and golden sun. For gameboy color, definitely links awakening dx, road rash, and mario tennis (theres a gba version for this as well).

    • @FranchisePlayyer
      @FranchisePlayyer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the recommendations, I’ll have to give Turbo turtle a try. I still need to pickup a physical copy of Final Fight One for GBA it’s such a fun beat em up, highly recommend that if you’re a fan of beat em ups!

    have you thought about doing this challenge with a psp? ive seen all the gameboy 30 day challenges but never a psp one and i feel that could be pretty epic

    • @FranchisePlayyer
      @FranchisePlayyer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A psp one would be sick, especially with the UMD movies. I’ve thought about doing one with the vita also. Would you rather see a psp or vita 30 day challenge?

    • @nathanglynn7443
      @nathanglynn7443 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FranchisePlayyerpsp for sure, I mean vita is sick especially because you can just mod it for psp and ps1 etc, but tbh psp with only psp games would be more of a challenge/fun

    I was hoping you'd give some thoughts on how you felt returning to modern systems... like did they feel different now, in a good way or bad way, was the experience different after spending so long on the gba? Or was it just back to normal? Anything you noticed or appreciated more or less on modern systems because of it?

    • @FranchisePlayyer
      @FranchisePlayyer  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It was definitely a nice change of pace going back to more modern gaming, one major thing I noticed looking back was the almost endless amounts of games to try on modern systems like ps5/ps4 (which is a double edged sword)
      Playing GBA for a month was cool in a way because I could only play and focus on the games I already owned. It’s not like there was an online marketplace where I could download new games for my SP.

    • @viridionwaves
      @viridionwaves หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FranchisePlayyer Thanks for sharing. The number of games available is definitely a double edged sword

    Im going back and forth between a GBA SP and a DS... Im having a better time than with the PS5
    Edit: games Im playing...
    GBA: Final Fantasy IV and VI, Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission, Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits, Super Mario Advance.
    DS: Pokémon SoulSilver, The World Ends with You, Civilization Revolution, Infinite Space, N+.
    2nd edit: I also have Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Namco Museum 50th Anniversary and Metal Slug Advance. I played the hell out of Kirby's Dream Land, Mega Man Battle Network (the entire series), and Mega Man Zero. My friends and I also passed around Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past/ 4 Swords, Pokémon Pinball and DOOM.
    3rd edit: if you like NES games, and dont mind the cramping that happens on the GBA screen, you can use an EverDrive to play NES games on GBA.

    • @FranchisePlayyer
      @FranchisePlayyer  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The GBA and DS both have amazing libraries, you’ll be practically set forever with just the libraries of those two systems
      I didn’t know you could play NES games on a GBA everdrive that’s awesome!

    Love the Yugioh games! Id suggest either Yu-Gi-Oh! 7 Trials to Glory: World Championship Tournament 2005 or Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters: World Championship Tournament 2006 for yugioh gba games. Definitely recommend Megaman Battle Network 3. Another good one is Duel Masters: Shadow of the Code. Also FireRed/LeafGreen if your looking for more Pokémon.
