    Episodes getting better each segment of trip. I think you actively developing the other personalities of team members helps draw interest.

      Thanks Bruce! Everyone was getting more comfortable talking to the camera as the trip wore on too. Personalities came out naturally

    I love the Excitement in the way the all are getting alone.

    Awesome group dynamics, everyone is getting more comfortable out there when you stick a camera in their face and realizing this TH-cam thing can be pretty fun.

      It's actually funny... I wanted to do more intros and sound bites earlier on, but most were camera shy. A few days later and everyone gets pretty comfortable talking to the camera! Was neat to see too!

      Lots more of the open forests. The moss that carpets it is super thick and comfy too!

    That shot at 28:07 😯, seems like it wouldve been a beast to set up and film.

      You said it Jim! So much more wilderness out there far beyond where most of us will ever venture. Even a lifetime of paddling won't scratch the surface!

      No one cares about what deserts your eating. Tell us what parallel your one geology of the area nearest town or field landing. Make your trips worth it. Good filming🤗🇺🇸🇨🇦 Michigan

      @@arneservatius1982 lol, some do based on comments received. Something for everyone. Episode I has a route overall map and details. The nearest town is Chibougamau ~300km south, or Mistissini, first nation ~150-200km south.

    CRAZY RAPID! You really enjoy this kind of paddling.
    It didn't look too bad for the second canoe. Weird. They were taking a slightly different line I guess.
    Gorgeous sunsets.

    • @ExploreTheBackcountry
      @ExploreTheBackcountry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah they took a slightly different line and also slowed down through some of the pushier stuff. You can see Emily back paddling in the Red Esquiff vs Leah powering straight on onto the maelstrom. Best rapid on the trip though!! Wish we had more of that!

    great series! Amazing drone shots - what a unique area! Will have to try cookies while camping next summer. Thanks for sharing

      There was a lot of baking done on this trip! A lot of those are pretty quick, 'just add water before baking' deserts. Something relatively easy but super tasty to look forward to. The reflector oven is a must have for trips like this. I think for next summers big trip, we'll dabble more in breads too.

    Great adventure in beautiful country. Well filmed and well edited. I really enjoy watching your travels and the team dynamics are great. Do any of the others have TH-cam channels? Could you introduce them? It would be great to find out a bit more about their backgrounds, etc. Thank you.

    • @ExploreTheBackcountry
      @ExploreTheBackcountry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My wife, Leah is on our channel. Cam has a channel, but he only has one or two short videos youtube.com/@cameronnawalaniec7499. The rest don't really do much social media. I wanted to do a bit more of an intro, but the majority were camera shy at first and only opened up after a few days of the camera being around.

    • @rlarok22
      @rlarok22 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ExploreTheBackcountry The camera shyness was noticeable and the fact they all became more comfortable with it. I think it added another level to the adventure, as if you were all getting closer as time passed. You when through beautiful country, I wish I was healthy, experienced and confident enough to undertake such an adventure. Happy new year!

    Can you do a video on how you maintain your canoe ? I know nova craft has similar videos but you add a different dynamic with your repair kit.
    Thanks

    Speaking of food, where did the group keep their food at night on this trip?

  • @judyeverett4553

    why do the canoes go from yellow, green, and red, to, red, red, and green, and then back to yellow, green, and red?

    • @ExploreTheBackcountry
      @ExploreTheBackcountry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Same 3 canoes, just different shots so different perspectives. Maybe the shading or lighting in a shot made one of the canoes look different?

    Is it just me or does the volume seem to vary a lot? I’m playing the video through my TV and find I’m turning it up to hear people talk and down through the music or windy sections? Is it my sound bar? Idk

    • @ExploreTheBackcountry
      @ExploreTheBackcountry  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's all normalized mix to -1dB with music well below at -10dB to -26dB. Most speaking is +3-12dB. Could be your soundbar setting. I've played it on studio headphones no issue, a forced mono soundcard and through several TV setups without an issue. There could be a theatrical or sampling setting enabled on your bar. Forced mono drowns out some of the mix though.

    Pot licker why arnt you guys trolling it would be so nice to see what can be caught in the waters your putting all these miles on. Do like your videos but the fishing would be a nice added feature to your trips
