I got to fish my first Troutfest at Big Bear Lake CA! Shout out to Western Outdoor News for hosting the derby, as well as all the trout anglers out there fishing. Thank you! I always see a lot of boaters/anglers trolling around the observatory. The lake is in really good condition so trolling any type of lure will get you hooked up. Try the Thomas Buoyant lures tied to fluorocarbon or mono. North shore is always fire! Good luck out there 🤙👊

Thanks! Use a long leader (3 for or more) on a basic Carolina rig. If you are using lures, I noticed that the Trout are not too deep, a steady retrieve will get you on some nice ones. 🤙
