    Henley rating doesn't account for the actual rights and quality of those countries you're allowed to travel. Russia has 150+ countries visa-free but none of them are in Europe or US, a lot of them are 10000 miles away so absolutely useless for the average traveller. Also, it doesn't account for EU passports allowing to actually live and work visa free in other EU countries.

      You have lost a lot, it's effectively 27 x less powerful than it used to be. It means you no longer have the automatic right to live, work, retire without restrictions or costs, and means you have no choice but to leave many of them after 90 days with restrictions on returning. So, it is significantly weakened. Luckily I have access to an Irish passport, which after brexit is many times more powerful.....

    The British passport is still very powerful but it has lost some of of benefits before brexit such as it’s lost free movement across the eu and also being limited to 90 days in every 180 days in the eu

    Philipine passport is better than the Nigerian Passport. I wanted to go to Thailand, I needed to have a guarantor, I needed a police check, drug check. I gave up. That process really made me look at becoming a British Citizen. I can't wait to get a British passport and not have to join that long as line of others who need a visa.

    The hopping on plane and visiting for example Eurodisney wont be so easy since 2022/ 23- unless ones also EU citizen. EU plans to implement ETIAS, EU version of US ESTA, and all visa- free travellers including UK ones will have to be pre-approved few days before, for 7euro i think.
    UK plans similar thing( ETA) from cca 2025. Australia already has such scheme and i think in not so far future every visa free destination will have such electronic pre-approval system in place.

    As a Pole I want to mention how useful and powerful is to have your EU ID card .When I first entered the UK I had to make Polish Passport .It means that the UK wasn't fully in the EU because Britan wasn't in Schengen Area like Norway or Switzerland .You can cross the UK border with your EU ID ,but British people do not accept your ID card if you apply for a job or mortgage you need passport .If you want to buy alcohol you have go with passport to local shop to prove that you over 21 yrs old . Your ID card is your personal identification card small fit to travel I don't need passport.Soon I will apply for British passport but it is because not that I want I have to feel more confident .Now I have to keep two passport and not sure which one to take and have to pay twice

    I’m not sure if you’d know the answer to this question, but I’ll ask anyway.
    If I get a British passport I’ll have dual nationality.
    Do I have to travel with both of my passports in order to enter my country in the EU?
    For example, do I travel out of the UK with my EU passport, and return to the UK with my British Passport? How does it work now Post-Brexit? My husband and kids are British so they’ll be travelling with just a British Passport.

    • @TheWooloffs
      @TheWooloffs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello. I read about this. I think this is not affected by Brexit. You may bring your two passports. You can enter and exit your home country showing your non-British passport. Then when you entered Uk, show your British passport. As long as both are valid.
      You may want to read this article.

    To be honest ive been in britain and my wife use to live there. I love the place. People are so polite. Amazing weather aswell. There are only few things i dont like about UK and i wish they do something about it.
    1.The road to british citizenship is so tough and expensive.
    You have to stay for 5 years in order to get permanent residence (ILR) imagine just permanent residence that long.
    Then you need to stay 1 year inside the UK to be eligle to apply for citizenship.
    It needs atleast 5k-6k if your comming for tier 2 visa.
    2. Nurse salary is too low.if your 1 family and living in a 3 bedroom apartment You might spend your whole salary only for your accommodation. 2 parents should work. What if you have small kids to care of. ?
    Thats the only 2 things why we decided to move out the country.

    • @sidrasalman4683
      @sidrasalman4683 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with the 5 years route, Its a bit much and you can't be out of UK for more than 90 days a year which sucks especially if you have all your family outside UK. However, you don't have to be in UK for another year to apply. You can apply the very next day..

    Reason many countries have visa free access in Europe but freedom of movement makes it more powerful
