There's 36 characters in total. 32 after beating hard mode and you get the bosses after beating special mode.

The real name for the pink robot is actually named Sukapon, not Skapon, which is his name in the fan translation.
Crazy that the tutorial mode here is so far ahead of anything in a 16-bit fighter. I'm glad I picked up a copy when I had a chance.

Ra is a force to be reckoned with. At him or shortly after on group 3 i gave up. the difficulty curve requires you to know the moves. I might've mentioned this at a panel so im glad you covered it. Whats your old channel name again btw?

Actually, you can unlock the other robots if you beat the game on hard mode. Once you do that, you unlock special mode. Beat this, and you unlock the boss characters.

Obviously instead of gaining new characters your default pink bot should've been customizable with the moves of defeated opponents and their cosmetic elements. Still a cool concept tho and technologically impressive for the system.

Noticed you have Bar Code World there in the background. Do you have one of the card readers? I have the game, but keep meaning to actually pick up the card reader.
I love Famicorner! but please don't do that color red for the border. Game chasers does the same thing and it makes it impossible to see TH-cam's red mark at the bottom of the thumbnails to tell which videos you've watched or not

The other robots are unlockable if you beat hard mode!
That will then unlock a special mode, where if you beat that, you then unlock the boss robots to play as!
