0:43 - "When they launched their small car the "Micra in 1992"... Ummmm, doesn't she know the Micra was introduced in 1982? She should have said "When Nissan updated the Micra into its second generation in 1992..." And these are supposed to be car experts?
Ive owned 4 of these cars all one litre. Nippy and ultra reliable the only major flaw is the rot in the sills. Its a shame the banger boys like to smash them up. Long live theis fab little car. Thank you Nissan.
I'm sorry but the only thing that's holding me back is the crash test, like Micra owners it's a fucking tin can you'll either break your legs in it or provably die. How the fuck was more popular then the Toyota Starlet which even in the 90's was more safer.... I just don't get it
Different era. In every other way than crash safety it's quite robust which is why people bought it. Plus back then cars were smaller/lighter in general, you weren't surrounded by SUVs, and expectations just weren't as high for crash ratings. As far as choosing to drive one now, I do agree with you and it puts me off.
Had my preface k11 for over a year now, 26 years old and still going strong.
my micra is 16 years old now. it runs really well easy to fix and spares are cheap I'm delighted with it.
My first car was a Nissan micra 1.3 si it grew on me big time loved that little car.
It rusts a bit but mechanically it's indestructable
