Nice project!!!! I recommend you to build an aluminum heat shield for the induction kit so it doesn't suck in hot air and instead suck in cold air, then you will probably gain more power than before (I've done that to mine)

I just wrapped some flexible heat shield like zircoflex around mine above the exhaust has better insulation properties then aluminum. They also sell sheets so you could replace your aluminum one with it.

I had one some years ago and the bonnet is very heavy.
I would suggest attempting to make a fiberglass one or something.

Your build is so inspiring for me and I really love this series. I have a 1999 Kia Sephia which was my family's car when I was growing up so, it is a special car for me. I always loved driving that car and your project inspired me to convert it to a track car. Keep up the good work!

Welcome back habibi :). I can't wait to see what you do and HOW you do with the Micra on track. Small cars are so much fun, i had an 2002 integra type R in the US, wanted something Americans dont get when i moved to France and bought a Swift Sport, SO fun in the french mountains. Even with a solid rear axle handles amazing. You can rent em on the Nurburgring so they must be good haha.
P.S. you should relocate the battery to the trunk, would make for a great video and help with weight and weight transfer. Btw gears and gasoline did a few dyno runs with different intakes, the straighter the intake the more power it made, on a k20-k24 anyways.

As long the battery familiar of cranking amp as recommend cranking amp.
Relocating the battery to trunk that help with weight transfer also it space up more room engine bay so you can getting more suitable air intake position and it’s might better if it has heat shield

You can buy nismo extended studs on the net and replace them on your new hubs, I've them on my k11

I just want to give you an advice from my own experience. If you put grease in the dust cover, the centrifugal force will make it stick to the inside of the cover, and it may cause a little bit of imbalance on the axel, and it may worn the cover much faster. (sorry, my english may be a bit bad.)

I love your videos! It's like what I'm doing only with more knowledge, a better car, a nicer shop and a better budget. haha I'm building an Aveo into a rally car and I have to change the trans. It's set up very similar to your micra.

Use a GA16 Airbox with panel filter, you'll get better results.
You can make a cold air intake from the fog light grille to the filter. And if you want some easy visual mods you can paint the chrome from inside the headlights black instead of chrome

Missed that Micra project.
I've got a similar issue with my megane gearbox not returning to neutral and I'm hoping it's also just a snapped spring as the rest of the box feels really good. Unfortunately my mechanical knowhow is lacking so need to find a garage to have a look.
Never yank out the halfshaft out like that! You can rip the inner boot then you pull apart the inner joint and the needle bearings fall out and you fucked. I learned the hard way.... Love the project non the less!

At 23:20 you'd probably made a mistake when you used aluminium for adapters on battery, because aluminium and copper creates a galvanic pair which is very susceptible to galvanic corrosion.
Fan vad proffsig du är, blir lika imponerad av varje video! Jag har haft en likadan Micra, rolig bil att köra. Har även haft en Toyota Starlet EP91 som är en liknade bil, den var faktiskt ännu roligare och piggare. Den kan jag rekommendera om du tänker göra ett till sånt här projekt i framtiden. 😀

Honestly the plan is just to have a casual, budget friendly track day car that is reliable and won't break the bank. Hopefully I won't steer off that path to much! 😂

Have you considered replacing the crankshaft pulley for the 1.0 (lighter)? Im still wondering if it fits...
I'll keep and eye for your result of the lightened flywheel, I wonder if its any harder to manage the clutch bitting point using it in a daily driving car.

I'm actually looking for a used pulley from a 1.0 facelift, but nothing for sale right now...
No, the 1.0 flywheel isn't that much lighter, so it won't affect the behaviour to much. It will become a little bit more rev happy and hopefully a little bit quicker. 👍
@@ejoautovideos how many micra k11 are still driving in you country, we have a bunch here in the Netherlands still driving arround. I noticed that yours has electric mirrors, headlight sprayers, and heated seats, none of the micras here have those options so I'm really jealous cuz i want to build one with mirrors and heated seats so im guessing i will be making a trip for those parts

Köpte den från autodoc, Elring sade att jag skulle höra av mig till dem för ev kompensering så tar autodoc det vidare med Elring. Även om jag inte får ut något av det så hoppas jag åtminstone att de slutar printa missvisande instruktioner på deras förpackningar så att andra inte råkar ut för samma sak...

Did you run the 1.5 TB on stock tune/stock ECU?

Nej, tror inte jag kommer göra en värmesköld, den ligger ändå rätt avsides från värmekällorna i motorutrymmet. Drar jag en flexslang från fronten dessutom kommer det nog verkligen inte behövas. 👍

What short shifter did you use? VERY slowly doing something similar with K12, but parts for K12 are way more rare :D
Just bought one from a random internet store. There are a ton of sites offering this exact short shifter. Just search for Nissan Pulsar GTI short shifter. 👍
i have a K11 4 door as my daily and really want to enhance it BUT here in Australia they are very rare and almost zero parts on shelf ,my question to anybody is that its sometimes diifcult to go from second gear to third gear ,the clutch engages about 2/5 off the floor and feels a lil stiff,a mechanic said its because its cable operated and just to stop whinning and get used to it or maybe buy a better car ,can i fix it or just deal with it ,thankyou for any help
In my opinion the seal should be fit with oil.

In the last video you made I asked about the wheels how much you drilled, this is why.
I also ordered new hubs, didn’t have studs long enough on them, my original studs are also not long enough, front or back,
I ordered extended studs for 200sx and for Subaru both were mentioned online they’d fit, didn’t fit mine nor the new hubs I got,
What model year and model exactly is yours ?
Mine is a year model 2000 1.4 no ABS.
I didn't remove much material at all around the holes on the rim. Maybe 2-3 mm max. Perhaps the studs on my Micra are longer from the factory? 🤔
@@ejoautovideos next time I go to the scrapyard looking for parts, I need to take a vernier and measure the length of the studs I have and what's available there.
If I could ask you how much your studs stick out from the face of the hub?
I don't imagine that the brake disk thickness is affecting the engagement.
I have already spent close to 1000eur on restoring 6 of these wheels, 2 to have as spares, gold centres, diamond cut lips and fresh rubber, I really want to put them on already and find a way to do it, I hope you can help, really love how your micra sits on these wheels, looks so tidy!!
Why not a motorcycle lithium battery? I have no interest in micra or car racing but fun to watch anyway :)
Had a hard time finding one with good CCA and AH values. This one is more like a light weight car battery but at a fraction of the price compared to "racing lightweight car batteries" 👍

About the seal, for me, it feels bad when I'm not following my gut feeling. It's kind of the same feeling you get when taking a chance on buying a used item. You're not sure if it is okay or suspecting the seller to be dishonest but still proceeds with the purchase. Until you're sure everything is all right, there's this uncomfortable feeling about it.

What I have learned during my 45 years of existence is always listen to your inner voice. Every time I do what my intuition says things mostly go right, and when I decide against it things mostly go wrong. I'm not saying this is some recipe for success, but in the end I can live better with suffering from my own mistakes than from some other's.

It was a used one from an other 1.4 Micra. The store I bought it from is a Swedish website that lists used car parts called www.bildelsbasen.se

I have a different car but got the rear main seal from the same company. I also have a leak now... 🤦♂also had instruction to put it in dry and it looks exactly the same like yours so I guess same thing hapened to me 🤬
