when I heard "without any doors", I expected an industrial grungy dilapidated 90-s urban style brick house with archways, holes and a very open concept... this is so much worse 😂

(i.e. an opening that has walls arranged so light won't go through. is also mildly useful for redusing noise.

Sometimes I've played with my teens being 'grounded', so the exterior doors are locked to them unless they're going to school or a part-time job. If they want out of the house any other time, they have to climb out of the window and sneak out.
Can't teens get grounded for real in Sims 4?
teens can be grounded with Parenthood, and you can set a curfew with the bulletin board that comes with that pack
@@malex_andra my sims never seem to care about the curfew. The parents are just fine with their kids doing whatever :/

Okay, outside of the window thing, I genuinely like the decor of this house. It's an unusual color scheme that actually works really well.

I love the combination Kayla has between "This is ridiculous, who would want this" and also taking it super seriously to make it all work and look nice. Also hating Eliza when she dislikes the decor 😂

The dog door also only goes into the bedroom but there isn’t another one into the rest of the house from the bedroom so they’d be stuck in that room only lol Not that it matters. We love a chaotic build. It did turn out cute!

Idk why but the thought of a house like this existing somewhere on this earth is hilarious to me. Imagine, you walk past this house every day, you never thought much about it, but one day you notice that it has no frontdoor. "Oh maybe it just has a backdoor" you think to yourself and move on in life. And only years later you come across it from the backside (idk why, it's just for storytelling) and then you see it: windows only.
I mean… my sister’s house isn’t this bad, but causes a similar double-take. You’re walking by, it looks like a normal house, and then you realize… window. Window. Bay window above a garden bed. Garage. *There’s no door*
You need to either go through the garage, or circle around to the end of the street to get around the hedge that runs along the back of the allotment, follow that hedge until you’re behind her backyard (which you can’t see), find the gate hidden deep in the hedge, go through to the enclosed backyard… and there’s the “front” door! It’s like the whole house was built oriented to the path beyond the hedge, then later a road was added behind it and they added a driveway and garage facing the road. 😂
I don’t think it’s old enough for that to be the real explanation though. 🤷🏼♀️
My god! My bug phobia would kick in so bad. Getting so close to hedges and not knowing what's hidden within until it gets ya!

I love it, but also HATE how this is such a nice house. Like if it wasn't for the creepy door set-up, it'd be soooo good. LOL
I kind of laughed when you said no one would play with this house. I've got an eccentric sim in one of my save files, and I've been trying to find a house that fits her and her service dog. I'm not sure if I have all packs you used, but I'd love to use it.
Make sure you put another dog door in for the rest of the house 😭 otherwise it would be stick in that one room

Nah bc I built a house in Sulani and made a sort of "rooftop escape" for my infant to eventually use once she was a teen, tell me WHY grown sims, STRANGERS, were climbing up and walking in through my baby's bedroom 😭😂 she later got taken by social services because of a glitch that caused bad grades as a child
I I love how unassuming this house is 😂 and how a dog or toddler can ONLY go to the master bedroom. Nowhere else.

7:58 I didn’t notice this specific one but there are the sets of identical paintings in different sizes from City Living with silly pricing. The smaller versions are significantly more expensive. I usually just size down the big ones lol
Feel like the smaller bookcase is supposed to be 150, but somebody added an extra 0. It'd make sense to be half the price of the larger one. That said, not much really makes sense in the world of Sims BB pricing. 😅

I love how hard Kayla went with this color scheme. It's always so fun to just really lean in like that instead of trying to keep it more toned down/realistic.
Day 3 of suggesting Bram Bell (bramble, a s who grows fruits and turns them into preserves and nectar) and Bab Bell (babble, a comedian sim) for the nightmare legacy challenge 💛
Sham Bell (shambles) could be Bab Bell's child as like an idea that they give them ideas to use in their jokes

Maybe I’m weird, but I have actually always loved indoor windows in real life. A family friend had some indoors upstairs over looking the open concept kitchen and living room and it was so cool to me. I think they put an extension on the the house and kept the windows. So I love this house 😂❤

As a very passionate lover of yellow and orange, I really appreciate this build. That, and the funny concept. It's like the old sims days when everything was wacky in a charming way.

Playing in this house would be a absolute nightmare because of how long it takes to climb though those windows and only teens a adults could use them like the baby is starving in the other room well your sim takes there sweet time climbing though the window 🤣

I love seeing her actually use many packs! I cant have all the packs myself but thats why i love seeing them all be used and interacting with eachother. You can bring the builds to life so much nicer with unlimited packs

My aunt actually lived in a house that had a cut out from the kitchen and hallway that led to the bedrooms and my cousins and I would climb through the window to get from the kitchen to bedrooms 😂 it was the early 90s

My Sim refuses to use her door and uses only the window. Lol. Even to just go to the kitchen from her room. Lol

This is such an inspiring idea - you could build like an "abandoned house" where the front door is boarded up and you have to use the windows to get in and it's a cool grungy haunted house/teen hangout on the inside.

This is a really fun idea! I use those windows every now and again but agree they're kind of hard to have sims use without a lot of mico-managing - locking doors, etc.

I, too, have drama king cats. 😹One of them was sleeping on my bed last night, woke himself up sneezing, and hissed at himself for it! 😹😹😹
I'm just getting constant reminders of climbing through the window of my dad's garage to feed the farm cats in the winter. Having to climb the snow piles around the back of the garage, walking on the roof of the chicken coop along the way, then squeezing into the small space we'd managed to dig out against the side of the garage to slip through what little we could crack the window open, all while holding a big bowl of food. Terrible yet formative experience
I love this. I love that only children are unable to get into this house, since teens and up can use the windows and pets and toddlers can use the pet door. This is the perfect house for someone who hates kids specifically
I have this window on the back of my sims house on the second floor. Imagine my surprise when my sims ex-boyfriend walks around the side to the back, climbs the ladder to use that window, goes down the stairs to the front door! Just to stare at my sim and swoon at her. 😂

Girl, I put that window in my house without knowing about the feature and random sims started appearing in it. I locked all the doors but they kept doing that and I couldn't realize how. But THEN I saw how they sneak in through that window and I was like "what in the world..."😅
So yeah, this is a really fun feature!

the house looks so fun. Sans the lack of doors, it feels like an 80's middle class retro vibe but one of the parents is a hippie but trying so hard not to be.
part way threw this i had the mental image of a child bringing their friend home from school and being like 'so zoning laws made my house a bit weird' and then just jumping into a window and then i had to stop watching for a bit to giggle

I literally made a Sims 4 challenge called Chaos Mode the rules are on my TH-cam and I've been streaming it on my twitch for months. You can't use doors, at all and you can't save your game until you're ready to stop playing plus a bunch of other chaotic rules. It's hysterical watching a Sim go through the high school window with the walls down, like a mime performance of sorts.😂
