    • @HidingAllTheWay
      @HidingAllTheWay 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The range is according to outdated and overly generous NEDC test cycle, under more moder and realistic test cycles it will most likely get sub-300 miles of range.

    • @johnsmith-cw3wo
      @johnsmith-cw3wo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@HidingAllTheWay The difference is not that big... is actually overly generous for ICE, for EV is closer. (WLTP is also optimistic compared to real drive)
      examples for Renault Zoe: - NEDC Range: 186 miles - WLTP Range: 179 miles - Real Range: 146 miles
      probably WLTP for this car would be ~350 miles, real range ~290 miles

    Handing Kyle a car, keys and no rules... what can go wrong? 😀 great review. Development reminds me of Japanese cars in my youth and Koreans in the 90s. Both were laughed at and looked down upon in Germany when it started, then eventually Toyota became the standard for build quality (though they seem to go down in last yrs). Hyundai was considered to produce super cheap ugly cars until the i20 and i30 came and now they are with Kia in the forefront of EV design and standards with Ioniq (old and 5) and EV6.
    that is always the same because people love what they know and are traditional (change is hated by most, I made a TED talk magic of change in 2019 where I showed the reasons), so needs time.

    The reasons they're usually ignored is because they're usually only sold in China, so people outside of China will likely ignore them because they can't buy them anyways, so it won't matter how good it is or what it costs.
    If they make a vehicle that I have the option of buying and using, I'm a LOT more likely to pay attention (in my profile picture I'm riding an electric unicycle that came straight from China)
    But in short, the title for this video is misguided....things are being ignored because they're irrelevant to people who don't have the option of buying them in the first place.
