Hedwig's Fugue

- This is a fugue composed upon a Harry Potter's movie theme (Hedwig's theme), by John Williams. I tried to mantain the atmosphere of the theme by using the celesta (the same instrument used originally). This one was really hard, as the subject is chromatic and I decided to use 4 voices. I think the result came out pretty good. Hope you enjoy!

I guess what I heard was 1:30 it seems to lose harmonic momentum there but I like it, mistake or not. It seems to come at the end of a phrase so perhaps adding one or 2 notes to indicate the dominant function.
This is amazing! I just recently started liking Bach and his fugues....its crazy how you managed to make this sound so beautiful!

What do you mean? It doesn't have the steady rhythm or dance ability of a gigue. It's also clearly a fugue, with all four entries in the exposition.

There is only one little mistake (it has nothing to do with the fugue itself): the celesta is notated an octave lower than it sound.
That's the way it should be, actually. That is, it's the orchestra standard.
That's not a mistake. The celesta is a transposing instrument. It transposes up an octave, just like the glockenspiel.

I just wish you hadn't used that vibraphone sound. But I like the piece . I'm gonna listen again. I like the moments of dissonance I mean it is the 21st century and I am not sure it's the dissonance that bothers me you might have a misinterpreted harmonic function somewhere in there. I find them in sheet music sometimes. But good work.
