Miracle at Cana was a Miracle of "conversion". Jesus was laying down a marker. Water into wine is symbolic for sinner into Saint. He can do it if only we will let Him. Cheers.
What a blessing this episode is for me. This past Christmas Eve , God allowed me to have an old friend to re-enter into my life. I was so surprised to have my friend call me to find out who had just texted him a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are renewing our friendship at a slow pace. Thanks be to God. Like the wine at the Wedding at Cana, we felt empty but now the wine is filling our empty bodies with life. Thank you Father Chris. Loved this episode. ❤️

FAITH, JESUS I TRUST IN YOU. These words take on a whole different meaning when it comes to Zion Clark. I am sure Jesus was talking about him. When he said, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed and tell that mountain to move, it will move. Once again Jesus demonstrates his love for us through the life of Zion. You were able to tell this incredible life story. No doubt Mary had a role with guiding you in presenting this talk. You do this magnificently by tying in the Wedding Feast at Cana and the feeding of the five thousand with the loves and fishes. You really showed how Jesus provides in great abundance to those who love him.
Fr Chris, many thanks for this video. I just watched it, a year after it got posted. But God's word prevails! Your explanation about emptying ourselves so that the Holy Spirit can fill us to the fullest has challenged me. Giuseppe's testimony of taking a leap of faith truly kicks my gut. My mother placed this very same image in the bedroom of us children about 70 years ago. She kept it for decades and I’ve just passed it on to a faithful Catholic couple with two toddlers. At the wedding in Cana as well as at the distribution of the loaves, it seems as though our Jesus takes ordinary elements and utilizes them to surprise and delight us with the supernatural. How typical of Him😁

To interpret this the way this priest say i like putting too much head knowledge. The most important is to be able to apply the message in our life. WhatJesus can do to a marriage who in despair. Because this the simple message of this gospel.
To interpret it as to what this represent in the mass will not change life of any married couples

They do these terrible things and still make money, they claim. My guess is that they get contracts to run houses or institutions for orphans, disabled elderly etc etc.
To say that it is because of Mary thatJesus turn into wine is false. Remember what Jesus said I came to do the will of my Father in Heaven John 6:38.
So even if Mary want Jesus to turn the water into wine but if its not the will of Father in Heaven, do you think Jesus will do it? Of course not, otherwise He could have disobeyed His Father which is sin. Disobedience is a sin especially if it the will of God we are disobeying.
But the Bible say Jesus tempted in all aspect but He never sin.Hebrews 4:15.
To say that it is because of Mary that Jesus turn into wine is like making God think like human. Its like lowering Gods thinking to human.
Isaiah 55:8-9. God said, my ways are not your ways, and my thought are your thought.
Do not compare God to human.....
God bless but Jesus was human too. And the importance of intercessory prayer is stressed throughout the Bible. Cana is just one example of that. God bless
John 2:4 is wrongly translated non literally….makes Christ look rude….and is sadly amiss in virtually every major and minor translation. And Mary hears a yes from Jesus about the wine shortage at Cana but in most translations He is saying no. Except in Young’s Literal and in the Latin Vulgate which keeps the literal also. Mary feared Jesus getting arrested if He miraculously produced wine but her empathy for the couple came first. But Jesus sensed the fear in her face and in her voice as she mentioned the wine shortage and he literally says a rare idiom…. “ What to me and to you, woman, my hour (to die) is not yet come.” That’s why Mary heard a yes. He read her worry….He read the room. P.S. Gynai woman was a tender term at that time in history. Watch Jesus and two angels use it toward Mary Magdalene as she weeps near the tomb of Jesus….then a little later, Jesus uses her name. But when she was weeping, Jesus and separately the two angels used woman….our equivalent would be dearest. Now rewrite Jn.2:4 again…” what to me and to you, dearest, my hour (to suffer and die) is not yet come.”…ie….of course I’ll solve this wine problem…
