This song is 14 years old. Man, life is falling through my fingers like wet cake. That’s the danger of getting nostalgic though, you’re reminded how quickly the present moment becomes almost a lifetime ago.
Started listening to them when I was 16, an active addict & struggling to stay alive in high school…now a decade later I’m 3 years clean/sober coming back to them. Shit is wild.
Similar here. Opiates for 7 years, then heroin for 6. Lost my 2 best friends along with over 5 people that I was associates of. Discovered Warpaint in the beginning of treatment, their voices, melodies and songwriting somehow helped keep me on the path. Listened them so many nights to fall asleep and keep the nightmares away. 5 years sober in September 2023

The Landesverräter I've been listening for about the same amount of time. Every time I'm in a music rut or don't want to pick up my instruments (just like the classics jazz, blues, classic rock) I always find myself coming back to this band for inspiration. Incredible musicians.

this song and video is one of the most important works of art in my life. been listening to it for many many years. it‘s like magic is spilled all over me. it draws you in.
This was a video that my TH-cam algorithm suggested to me in 2012, right after a major breakup.
I distinctly recall being mesmerized by the music immediately. That was the beginning of my obsession with Warpaint.
Warpaint are just amazing
every time I spin any song from them it immediately inspires me.. to write.. to listen.. to talk.. to be better and be nothing.. when I feel like time is so far ahead of me, they remind me that time is moving in the wrong direction and I am light years ahead.. thank you Warpaint for always being who you are. such a rare gem

Still one of my favorite Warpaint's songs. I'm so thrilled that they open their set list with Stars in 2022. Saw them twice in Europe last month and I could attend dozens of more shows !
They are great. After the gig in AB, Brussels really obsessed. Playing all the time in my car.

As long as there are more male bands and more male instrumentalists than women in both categories, I will do my best to advocate for female musicians, everywhere, every genre. I had my first gig at 17 (piano, pop at first, then jazz) and for decades, if I asked to sit in the question used to always be "What do you want to sing?" Well, sure there are lots of women singers but lots of us play instruments, too. These days, I'll be hearing "where's your axe?" more: Cool. Progress!!!
So rock on beautiful, strong, ethereal women. BTW, I have the same criteria for "liking" a band, regardless of gender, they have to be good. These Women are amazing!
