1960 Impala has the best body line ever. I love that car!!!!
When I was fifteen in 1977 we moved into my stepdad's great-uncles house, who died back about 1969. In a old garage to the side was a 1959 med.blue -white top, 4-door, 3-speed Impala with 2300 miles on it. Still had the paper mats in the floor that looked like they had never been stepped on. The only thing wrong was a lite film of dust, on what looked like a brand new car. Not a speck of corrosion on any of the miles of chrome. Sadly, my stepdads uncle got to claim the car. So they put a rope on the front, pulled it down the road, popped the clutch and it fired right up (gas was a lot better then). He sold it on the spot to a buddy for $500 dollars and we never saw it again. But that car made quite an impression on us for the two and a half hours we got to be around it.
The forgotten Impala, 59 & 60 are so unique in their styling and you really don't see them very often. You know better than me, but seems a bit pricey for a baseline Impala.
Yeah, and one with all of the issues that it has too. I could understand if it had an automatic transmission, power disc brakes, A/C, power windows and a much better engine and exhaust. But, it is what it is, and they can price them as they seem fit to do so; they do own the cars. All in all, Maple Motors is an awesome company, they do all the hard work finding so many cars, all year around. That's something that you and I just can't do. I'll bet that one day you will see the car or truck that y'all just have to have and then you can thank the good folk there at Maple Motors.
But this is just my humble opinion.

At this point the Impala was the highest trim, the Biscayne and Bel Air were lower.

I think it’s a pretty fair price given the massive inflation going on these days. Plus it’s a very rare model year for the impala second only to the 58
In Canada, the Impala, was also called a Parisienne and wasn't a wide tracking Bonneville.

You dont wanna crash into that dash being its made of steel and sharp edges with no padding.
Decent driver quality '60. Unusual to find one 3-on-the-tree. Nice, but over-priced IMHO, but I'm a cheapskate. Rust issues. Nice detailed showing of the issues. Kudos for your honesty. Motor obviously has had some "tweaks". Friend's mom had one that we used to go cruising in in the 60s, but it had a PG trans.

Very nice car. A 4-speed would be a great upgrade to her. Looked to be an original drivetrain, so maybe miles are correct.

That's a car I would fall in love with. Would take all afternoon to wax her but would be a labor of love.
Wonder what the car would be like with $15,000 thrown into her. Bet she'd be a showpiece. Unfortunately my dentists just wrote me a bill for $30,000. Kids, see a dentist twice a year and floss daily. I just had to put a classic car in my mouth.

first time I ever seen a car with two antennas...
Nice looking car. The head markings appear indicate the lowest performance 283 heads. Those came on a 2 barrel / single exhaust engine rated at 170 hp. Of course this one has an aftermarket 4 barrel intake and carb with dual exhaust and upgraded cam. With those heads it is still unlikely to make much over 200 hp. Still should be fun to drive with the 3 on the tree. I’d love to have it, but would upgrade the heads to the 220 hp version. That would make 250 hp with the intake, carb and cam it has. That’s not bad for a 283. A nice 348 to drop in would make it a stand out.
needs a 409 , 4-speed , disc conversion...but i'll take it like the hounds-tooth....love the "chick"

That's a nice well maintained Impala. It's dying for a LS motor, 4 wheel discs and newer steering upgrade. Oh yeah a 4 on the floor wouldn't hurt either! Sweet ride tho.

These were some of the great years for GM but but there Woke now so the cars they build now trash and I did say cars not trucks. Yeah the trunk is so big 6 or 7 people could get a free night at the drive inn theater hahahahahaha
