She referred to what we now refer to as "The incident" (because it is so ridiculous it doesn't even deserve mentioning). At the 2009 VMA's, Taylor (who was 19 years old at the time) won the award for best female music video or something like that. Kanye West (yes, Kanye West) then walked onto the stage, took the microphone from Taylor and proclaimed very loudly that he was of the opinion that Beyoncé should have won. Beyoncé was shocked that he did this, and the whole crowd started booing at him, for a second Taylor thought they were booing her, it was all a mess. Later that night, Beyoncé won the award for music video of the year (which is the "better" award) and when she gave her speech she invited Taylor up to the stage to finish her speech that was interrupted by all of this (they don't call her Queen-B for nothing, she's nothing but grace).

Thx for the extra info, didn't know about the part where Beyoncé asked Taylor to finish her speach, that's nice of her. And yeah, during my reaction here I didn't know about that incident yet. Luckily my Patrons informed me of this afterwards. In the meantime, I also reacted to the Netflix documentary "Miss Americana" with Taylor Swift, where they actually show that scene. I'll post that reactions within the next couple of days I think.😊

This "incident" does deserve mentioning because what an amazingly powerful moment for TSwift to act so graceful and poignant. KWest looked like a douche-nugget and she looked like a champ.

One thing about Taylor is she is the ultimate hype girl. She gives so much credit to everyone she works with creating an album or even to every worker on her tour. She is extremely generous as well. You should check out her lyrics. I have favorites on every album but Folklore and Evermore and Midnights are my favorites.

Evermore has been suggested too so I'll probably check it out in a future video😊

"She actually does it." Dude. Love your content, but of course she DOES IT. She always DOES IT. It is incredibly hard to find fault or missteps in her performances because she takes every single one of them SO SERIOUSLY.
Don't be so surprised when she nails it every single time. That is her talent, her artistry, her amazingness showing up every single time.

Her capacity to compose songs (melodies/music - Lyrics) it’s crazy, she also was admitted to the producers Grammy wing of Nashville after that 1989 talk. I’m confident if she needed to do anything alone she would but she loves to colaborate but it’s well known the idea comes almost 100% from her.

The way she writes I almost think she's an empath or something. She gets a track from Jack and it feels like a guy driving by his ex girlfriends house at 2 am and writes lyrics that give you that feeling, that tell that story. It's so nuts. It's like she's channeling or sees the world from angles the rest of us don't until she tells us about them.

Anytime a word, phrase, lyrics or melody comes to her she records it on her phone or in a book. She may wait years to use it. It could be in the middle of the night, at a party where ever. When she feels it is right for a certain song or ends up writing a song around it she has it. I think that is pretty neat. We all have great ideas pop into our heads at the wrong time then forget about it by the time we get home. In her Mean video the name on a wooden street sign popped into her head. She liked the word, wrote it down then used it in a video. 🆒️

If Taylor gets ideas from the sounds a producer makes, she will list them as a co-writer as well as producer (using their work name sometimes in the production credits). Look her up in Wikipedia; her discography lists albums, and the track lists say who the writers and producers for each trach are. She has co-produced every album after her debut, and almost every track.
She plays to accompany herself; someone asked her once if she could actually play the clarinet she had in a music video. She play guitar (6 and 12 string), banjo (6 string), and ukulele.
The Lover song video is from a New York Times piece called Diary of a Song. It was sync'ed just fine; so maybe the editor of the video you got was having trouble or in a hurry. It is also on YT by itself.
The grand piano a bit earlier is in her home; she has several homes (and pianos); main ones in Nashville, NYC, LA. Jack Antonoff (his bands are fun, and Bleachers) lives in NYC and uses a studio in the Electric Lady Studios; Max Martin and Shellback have their studio in LA. Her other large house is in Rhode Island (a beach front estate).
She frequently gives guitars to charity auctions; she couldn't even guess how many she owned in one of her interviews (probably because on tours she would carry a bunch of spares, just in case). The white electric is a Fender Jaguar; on the 1989 tour, she used it for WANEGBT. When she started, she mostly used Taylor guitars (like that custom Koa she's been using for her acoustic set on tour); since she shifted to pop she mostly uses Gibson.
Antonoff was a friend of an acquaintance; they co-wrote a soundtrack for One Chance in 2011 or so; then a couple tracks on 2014's 1989; then half the album for Reputation; a few tracks on 2019's Lover; 6 songs on 2020's folklore. He has also produced/ co-wrote with Lana Del Rey, the 1975, and lately the Chicks (former Dixie Chicks). He is releasing an album in a couple weeks for his own band, Bleachers. He was too busy for Evermore, that was mostly Dessner.
Bearded guys in the studio for the Reputation era songs were Max Martin and Shellback. They worked with Taylor for the 3 pop songs on the 2012 Red Album (she turned them into rock versions on the 1989 tour); co-produced 1989, and half of Reputation. For the Lover album, she turned to Joel Little, and Jack. Haven't seen Joel yet, but I am sure he's in this thing sooner or later; ME! and other songs from both Lover and her Miss America film were done with Little. Aaron Dessner (folklore and Evermore albums) is the guitarist and producer for indie rock band The National. He's in the Long Pond Studio Sessions documentary (the Long Pond Studio is his barn in upstate NY.)

@@YBPlaysMusic lol just realized I left piano off her instruments; I was trying and failing to remember another one she's mentioned but never used on tour: dulcimer. Maybe someone in Tennessee gaver her one? but she seems to have moved away from the slide guitar /folk instruments.

I wish I could do an interview with her. I have so many questions I would like to ask her. I don't know if she would be willing to answer them, because some are very personal, not about her private life, but about her thoughts and fears. Like, I know a lot of artists who got to a point in their career where they felt empty and their ability of writing songs was gone in some way. I would like to ask her if she already was at that point and if not, if she is afraid of getting there. Stuff like that.
