Taylor Swift read the book “Where the Crawdads Sing” and then wrote- the words to the song -Carolina which was used for the movie. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful and suits the film perfectly.

the most amazing about this to me is that the film is set between 40s or 60s not sure but she only used instruments that had been invented and used by then, she’s brilliant!!!

about the wedding phrases, here is what she ended up using: " *ladies and gentlemen will you please stand*, with every guitar string scar on my hand, *I take this* magnetic force of a *man to be my* lover, my heart's been *borrowed* and yours has been *blue* (something borrowed, something blue), all's well that ends well to end up with you, *swear to be* overdramatic and true to my lover"

There’s a whole short mini series of videos called making the song she did for the album reputation a lot of the clips used in this video where she’s in the studio are taken from those clips. You should watch the full thing. It’s not long each one is like 5-10 minutes long but super interesting.

Taylor got in the habit of recording parts of her writing and producing efforts because she keeps getting people accusing her of not being as much a part of her music creation as she claims. It will never be enough for some people. They just can't handle Taylor being as awesome as she is for some reason.
She's also very confident in some respects. She's always been drawn to creating music and entertaining people with it. She seems to be naturally driven to it.
Taylor is very versatile in her music making. It does seem that lyrics come first, but I think she often also has a melody or such that is attached to it.

This is why claims of Swift writing something like 150 "songs" (if that's the right word to use!) for _1989_ isn't so crazy. Parts of those "songs" ended up on the final original version of _1989_ , which came out in 2014.

It's honestly because she's a woman. For the most part, female artists, particularly in pop, typically perform songs written and produced by other people (oftentimes men). The world has never seen a woman like Taylor who writes consistently fantastic lyrics and songs that she herself performs. There are multiple reasons for that, it's not because Taylor is the only woman with that talent. It's just rare for labels to let their female artists write their own music because they are obsessed with their branding and marketing. Think about just how many female singers have their sex appeal pushed as one of their key assets. Taylor has never been that, her music is all about feelings, emotions and stories. And then there's also the whole "good old boys club" where labels use the male producers and writers they know well and like. She was given that opportunity by her small record label thanks in large part to her father being an investor. At the end of the day though, she's as successful as she is because she has generational talent regardless of gender but people will always try to discredit her out of jealousy and/or internalized misogyny. Bar none, one of the greatest songwriters of all time period and I'm so proud and thankful that she's the voice of my generation (younger millennials).

She has released 10 albums and 3 re-recorded albums. So, it's a lot of songs.
Well, I think for Taylor is more important to write lyrics first because she's known for her talent at storytelling and everything. For example, one time she wrote a poem and then it became a song, she just came up with a melody for it (song called This Love). But who knows. Maybe sometimes it's the melody and hook first then the lyrics.

What I have always loved about Taylor is that she takes the criticism is she leans into it and then laughs all the way to the bank and winks on stage accepting an award for the song or album she was motivated to write because of her detractors.

Taylor's songwriting process is really interesting, i need her make a whole documentary and pick up everything.
What i love about her songwriting is that there isn't 1 way she writes. Sometimes it's purely lyrical like a poem and then she comes up with melody and make it a real song. Sometimes she comes up with melody first and then writes lyrics over it. She's also very sure what is chorus, what is verse, what is pre-chorus, what is bridge very early in the process. She also can write pretty fast. Her producer Aaron Dessner send her whole instrumental to a song and she send him a demo of finished song with all lyrics in 20 minutes. Or he also said that he again send her instrumental and went for walk or something and when he came back an hour later she had whole thing done. Or one of her biggest hits We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was made in just 20 minutes. She's unreal. She gave us a little inside of making of her album Reputation but i would give anything to be there with her while she's in a studio or wherever and see her in action.

Reminder for us all: A young, pretty woman can be a musical genius; they don't have to look like Paul Simon. Okay so do the Blank Space video next, now that you've heard her explain she was being ironic when she wrote it and creating a character based on the media's portrayal of her! It's hilarious! Loved your reaction to this.

The interview where she is on stage talking is from her 1989 era. She was invited by a very prestigious circle of music producers to do a presentation of the album from a songwriting and production standpoint. And because they felt she actually was a true producer on the album they invited her into their group. It’s fascinating and about an hour long. Watching these industry dudes listen to her with wrapt attention is the coolest.

She has 10 studio albums, self-titled Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, folklore, evermore, and Midnights. She is now re-recording her first 6 albums to reclaim them after they were sold out from under her. She has done Fearless, Red, and Speak Now. 1989 is coming out in late October, then it is to be believed that Reputation is next, and her Debut Album self-titled Taylor Swift lastly, they are called Taylor's Versions. It is rumored that Taylor wrote a 350-page novel (unpublished) when she was around 12/13 years old. She has written over 240 songs.

      @Sacto1654 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

I wouldn't be surprised that a publisher has gotten their hands on that 350 page manuscript and may encourage her to complete it to a publishable form. It's similar to what a reader for Allen & Unwin did in the 1936 when the reader read then-unfinished manuscript to what became _The Hobbit_ , which was published in 1937.

I haven’t read all the comments so someone may have said this , but at the end of 1989 stolen version she has a couple of descriptions of how she wrote a few of the songs - one is to track , one was on piano I think . So she does it in a multitude of ways

I really, really wish , she do an collab with Tuomas from NW. Just Imagine, Him doing the melodic lines, the Instrumentation, and she brings the (not so hard to digest for the Masses as Him)Lines on an Topic they choose. this Time no Pop, but symph Metal...one can dream:) And no, Floor will still be my GOAT, the Popqueens are only Lucky, she isnt signed by Sony:D. Miss Swift on the other Side got the Brains and the Talent for Songmaking for sure. If it not always would end in this Chorus , verse/Chours Bridge/Chorus /end, 4/$ all the Time. Sure that what bnrings Money, but why not , like Miley C. said....most Songs i sing for You, so i can Sing one for me from Time to Time.

The “you were outnumbered, this time” was about losing the vote in politics. She was voting for woman’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights. Although she had gotten over 30k people to register to vote, conservative Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee still won. Love how Taylor includes all aspects of life into her music.

Maybe it's just because I am a man, but I can't get over the fact how beautiful and sexy she looks while writing songs. Because, this is what she is ment to do, what she is made for. She is totally in the right place while doing that and that is damn sexy as hell to me. When she sits in her apartment on the piano or with the guitar rethinking some lines over and over again until they are perfect. Damn, that gets me every time.
