I'm sure Itachi allowed it but even if he didn't, he'd fall to adult Sasuke's genjutsu even if he was trying to resist. This is a Sasuke that is on Otsusuki level and is canonically stated by kishimoto to be able to kill (not just seal away) Kaguya Otsusuki alone.
