Stopped shisui from stopping the uchiha coup, made a secret anbu that had Itachi kill his clan and making sasuke hate him, manipulated the war to take out both Yahiko and the akatsuke AND Hanzo- which created the evil akatsuke and nagato as pain-which furthered obito and madaras plan, convinced orochimaru to continue human experiments so he can have hashiramas cells to gain more sharingan, made kabuto an anbu and under orochimaru, AND hid ALL terrible things that happened to the shinobi world and the leaf if it would expose him, all for the “I dId It fOr ThE lEaF”. Fuck danzo, and if hiruzen is guilty of anything it’s being a moron for not seeing Danzo for what he is and being a politician and not a shinobi leader

Danzo was only powerful because hiruzen let him. Danzo wasn’t even that strong nor did he come from a top family, his power stemmed from the root, which is essentially a branch of anbu, which is controlled by hiruzen. In other words hiruzen could take back this authority at any time, but he didn’t.

Naruto might turn into another Nagato if Uchiha had their way and civil war broke

Hiruzen said his skills wouldn't be optimized for the Anbu, and Danzo said he lacks darkness, both of which are true. Guy is one of the strongest Jonin, stronger than most Anbu probably, but the Anbu are cold, faceless killers. Guy's values are of youth and preserving young green leaves, which makes him a great team leader. 2:56 is a good example.
