The sword is a meme, passed from Sam to Jack, via the dog, who found the will to be a part of something greater of its own desire. So far I count three separate themes that culminate in the sword. God the writing in this game is crazy
The scene was definitely better like this, but what would've made it better is if before the battle started both Armstrong and Raiden would clash into each other then the battle begun so the theme hits harder
When I first saw the scene I thought he would say: I said my sword was a tool of justice, not used in anger, not used for vengeance. But I lied. Not and besides, this isnt my sword. still hella cool
It's you, I can't hear the line about his sword being a tool of justice, but he's not currently using it sooo, scenes like this work when you actually care about what the character says and does, this has the same merits of a music video, your only here for the music
@swagdudearcidon yeah I saw you mention it being adjustable in another comment, it doesn't kinda sync when Armstrong jumps down, takes his glasses off and says come on, and when Raiden says let's dance, I guess, the rest is just intrusive to the scene, it was epic enough own, ESPECIALLY when Blade Wolf makes his entrance, ooooooooohhhhhh wooooaaaooooaaaahhhh oooooohhhhh, love that song
It absolutely is. But you’ll never get anyone to admit it. They’ll just ignore all the epicness and reduce their focus to a meme they turn it into. Then they’ll go on and on about how Raiden is a worthless shit character, and this is a failure of a _Metal Gear_ game. Finally, they’ll cap it off by blindly worshipping _Phantom Pain_ for an hour. _SO_ glad to be part of the wise and ever-discerning _Metal Gear_ fanbase. 😒
Ok ok i know, the song is way too loud. I made sure i dont do the same mistake in the jetstream sam vid. And i wont do it again
nah it's perfect
”I‘m sorry Raiden, WHAT?!“
"I SAID-"
"I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER MY THEME! SPEAK LOUDER!
"WHAAAAAT!?"
Its so well timed too lol, just a tiny bit too loud but that is obv adjustable
Ikr
the louder the better
Nah real ones play it with music at 10 dialogue at 5 and sound effects at 1
@@swagdudearcidonbible?
@GBkitesreal ones enjoy everything of the game
Because it probably was ment to do so. In every other boss battle the music starts BEFORE the battle begins, they probably scrapped the Idea on this one in order to give more credits and iconicity to the script
Higher volume, can still hear the video
I see why the game started it at the beginning of the actual boss fight but yeah this is a lot cooler
I think original is more orchestral and epic
now that's some pretty timing, exquisite

now edit it with Sam saying "let's dance" in sync with Jack like a flashback
Why does the dialogue sync PERFECTLY though
Could you add it where when he opens the sword Jetstream sams thene starts playing
Bad
He bullied the weaponised doggo
What the nanomachine son
its a bit loud but yea i could see it working like this ngl
Nah it playing as soon as the boss starts is harder and gets you more hype for the gameplay
Oh my, it reminds me of Yakuza bosses where the song plays/syncs right before the fight starts, now i want to see more MGRR bosses done like that.
@@Cappuccino_Rabbit OH YEAH now i notice that, will do ;]

Still a banger of a game
Yeah thid fits well. Raiden gets pissed after armstrong kicks bladewolf
yea sounds good
I watched this video in monochomarncy and it made it even cooler.
ARMSTRONG
I thought the dog was screaming ARMSTRONG
I feel like a fade in would have been better that gradually got to the audio level its at when he aims the sword at armstrong
maybe using a snippet of the beta version that starts off softer
i think the scene would be 200x better if they just had say gex out of nowhere for the rest of the game and its just a big qte until u win
Dis dat gud shit, appreciate your creative insight my guy.
YEA IT IS
It comes off too strong too quick. I’m thinking it would be better after Raiden says ‘vengeance’ or ‘I’m not so sure’
Lets dance
All It needs next is the battle to start with a clash like how Jin and kazuya do in tekken and then the fight begins
Ok
Let's dance
When a preschooler has to do audio mixing:
So much better

That's cool, but their voices are too quiet like that.
