Hey all! Let me know how the audio sounds. Some of our first syllables were cut off. Just in case it wasn't understood: Debbie Beavers was the lead investigators for the case on behalf of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, and the CPS worker assigned to Kenisha's case was named Tracy Rideaux.
Sadly, despite this case not being very old, many people in this case are no longer alive and therefore couldn't be contacted about it.
Thanks for sticking by us every week.

Would love to hear your thoughts on Florida baby Tayla Aleman, whose parents Alejandro Aleman and Kristen Meyer-Aleman neglected/starved her to death and severely neglected their 9 other children as well. Kristen was pregnant with her 11th child when Tayla passed as well. Terrible and heartbreaking story.

At my parents old house, we had fire ants that decided to move into the cracks between our driveway and backyard. My oldest nephew, who was 6/7 at the time, got bit by them while he was playing outside. My sister and i took gas my dad kept in his shed, poured it in all the cracks, and lit it on fire. We let it burn for awhile, and we would've kept it going, but my dad came home and rightfully freaked out hahah. Cause some of these cracks were really close to the grass.
Needless to say, we didn't see them for quite sometime.

I will cal my child my child when they are adults. And I believe you wold have to in an age appropriate way (with the guidance of health professionals) give some explanation because you WILL get questioned and saying “I’ll tell u when u grown” won’t cut it. It will make the question that much more pressing and potentially cause further sigma. Hiding things causes shame.
There are ways to give some answers without the full adult story and conversation. Children are full humans and deserve the respect of honesty insomuch as it is age appropriate digestible level of information and no more than that at a time.
Make a bigger deal out of a thing when you hide from a person.

Girl ... I suffer from clinical depression, yet my 2 kids are my world. I never let that impact their lives or how they see me or the world around them. I was lucky enough to move to a state with wonderful healthcare and support in my recovery. My prior history as an addict or as someone who currently deals responsibly with their mental health struggles shouldn't be things my kids have to ever concern themselves with - I must say, however, that even in 2022, there are people who will look at me differently despite having my life in order for more than 13 years. Be kind to yourselves and each other 💗

I know how that can be. I was an active addict for a long time.. but it's been about 5 years since then and yet I still get heavily stigmatized by who I was then. It's hard enough and I'm not a parent, so I can imagine that's pretty tough. Stay strong mom, you're doing great.. I'm happy for you, it's a huge step to leave that all behind and you deserve to be appreciated for your growth.
I experience a lot of mental/emotional health problems, and it's just so unpleasant.. to put it lightly. I'm on medications for things now and they have helped noticably, but I don't have any friends or gf. Been single for like 6 years now. I've basically just accepted my loneliness. All my relationships are ruined due to my mental health. It goes the same way every time. I'm legitimately convinced that it's better for me, my potential friends and whoever would date me, if I just avoid ever interacting with them.. or if I do I act entirely uninterested, which I basically am. Just not by preference..
Idk why I went off on this woe is me tangent, sorry. I just wanted to let you know you're doing great and you can do this!

I feel this comment so hard. I have a very similar background, addiction, bipolar with mostly depressive episodes and I did relapse while my kids were alive.... having said that, my kids are healthy, happy children who never went without. They may have not had me 100* until 3yrs ago for awhile but I never hurt, neglected, or abandoned them. I did leave them with their father to finally get clean and still saw them on the weekends no matter what. I wanted what was best for them and a clean and happy mom was definitely that. Now we have a wonderful, open, understanding, and loving relationship. One I always wished for with my own parents. I don't care how bad things got, I would have done anything to protect them. Even if that means I have to remove myself in order to make sure of it. They are my world and they will always come before my own needs and wants.

Her story about baby hope might be more believable if she didn’t try discard another baby 🙄 she obviously wasn’t expecting that baby to survive either! As a single mother of a 15 year old and also suffering from severe depression, BPD and anxiety and requiring more hospital admissions than I care to mention. It’s absolutely no excuse to harm a hair on a child’s head! In my deepest despair and literally not wanting to live, never once has that thought even crossed my mind. Now both me and my son are lucky I have a supportive family and not everyone has that luxury. But if I didn’t, I would rather tear out my own heart and give my son to someone who could provide the stability and life he deserves than harm him intentionally or intentionally (through the effects of my mental health) If you don’t want your children then give them to someone who has the ability to love and care for that child and provide the life you can’t or don’t want to. I really can’t understand the thought process where you think it’s better to discard baby’s in dumpsters or cause them harm/suffering instead of safely with SW or a hospital. Or you know, go on birth control to stop unwanted pregnancies. Your worried what people think of you? I think being a child killer on death row is a little more embarrassing than a struggling mum who admits she needs help!

I think most people who throw their babies into dumpsters when theyre alive dont cover their mouths. I dont know whether they dump them out of desperation and panic, or what, but there have been stories of people hearing babies cries and finding them in the trash. I also wonder whether they do put them into dumpsters where they might be found. Whether thats a conscious decision or not, im not sure, but maybe its to make sure they are found and laid to rest or something. Id imagine youre not thinking straight if youre getting rid of your baby in a panic or out of desperation.
People who dispose of their baby for nefarious reasons would try harder to conceal them. People dont usually think someone will open trash bags. They can often be put down drains in the streets so they arent found as well. Itd very sad, especually because most places have safe haven laws where you can leave them no questions asked at hospitals or fire houses, etc.

Took weeks to heal from that, and I couldn't wear shoes for a while and had to walk on the edge of my feet for a while because the pustules would be irritated by the pressure. I wanted to practically chew my foot off at the ankle because it drove me crazy and had to soak it in ant venom relief ointment practically constantly.

Horrible case. It seems rather absurd to me to conclude that she would've taped the boy's mouth and arms had he already been dead when she put him in the bag, but clearly there wasn't a great deal of logic in this woman's actions either way. The selective nature of which babies she killed does make her look a lot less troubled and a lot more calculating. As for Skylar, due to her age and how clearly deranged her upbringing was, I can't help but see her as something of a victim too. At the same time, tho, if she doesn't get proper mental help to undo the damage her parents caused, I can't say I'd trust her ever becoming a mother, even if she keeps the baby.

Is in our Country. You'd think they would take this very Seriously and require high level qualifications for this role and position of power, because once a autopsy person makes a decision, it's SO HARD to override, get a second opinion, or even every get anyone to look at it ever again. That's not even taking in the factor of "timing" and factors of decay after death, so time is very important, sometimes these morgues can't store the body and cremate them, etc. And forever alter how a investigator specialist could conduct his job if they finally get someone qualified to help them do their job to asses a suspicious case.

I’m going to speak my mind, and these are MY opinions. I’m so sick and damn tired of hearing excuses for why a so-called “mother” killed, or attempted to kill, her babies. This “clinical depression” is nothing more than an excuse made by those PAID by the defense to make these claims.
Kenisha Berry had 4 other children ( if I heard it correctly), and she was perfectly fine. She stated, several times, that she was worried about what others thought about her giving birth to another baby, so she LIED about who Malachi was ( she had informed her oldest that he was a friend’s baby, and she was just looking after him ). So, she had the CLEAR mind to LIE, but we’re supposed to believe that “clinical depression” clouded her judgement? NOPE! I don’t believe that! There are many mothers that are diagnosed with clinical depression, but they don’t harm their babies. They’d rather die first.
She gives birth to ANOTHER baby, then dumps her on a pile of fire ants! Again, she had the CLEAR mindset of taking her baby girl to that pile of fire ants, then leaving her to die a slow and very painful death.
Each pregnancy that Kenisha had was a live birth - even Malachi was alive when he was born. Her “excuse” was to say that she “thought” that home births were illegal, but women, for centuries, had been giving birth in homes.
As for comparing Kenisha with Skylar, that’s like comparing oranges to apples. When the autopsy of Skylar’s baby, it was revealed that the baby NEVER took a breath. In Kenisha’s case regarding Malachi, he DID live for a few days after she had given birth to him. IF she had brought him to a hospital for medical treatment, he’d still be alive. She chose not to!
Again, comparing Kenisha to Skylar: Skylar buried her stillborn baby in the garden of her parent’s home, and Kenisha had duct taped Malachi’s arms across his chest, and around his mouth, then placed him in a garbage bag, then threw him inside a garbage bin. After she had given birth to Baby Paris, she placed her on a pile of fire ants to die slowly and very painfully!
To speak about their races, that’s the most unimportant part. As I said, there’s a HUGE difference between the two cases. I’m sick and damn tired of people focusing on the color of one’s skin than the crime they had committed. Skylar didn’t just get away unscathed, and she DID have to pay for burying her stillborn baby instead of calling authorities. Kenisha had given birth to two LIVE births regarding Malachi, and Baby Paris. She DECIDED to dispose of both babies in the most inhumane way.
You brought up Andrea Yates, who CLEARLY had a mental breakdown when she had killed her babies! If memory serves me correctly, her and her now ex-husband were in this cult, that preached that women SHOULD give birth to as many babies as the husband wants, and she had no choice but to comply. She had been institutionalized several times for her mental breakdowns, and she had begged her now ex-husband to do something so she didn’t get pregnant anymore, but he refused! I don’t believe she should’ve received the death penalty.
With Kenisha, she deserved to be imprisoned for life, with NO parole. Mothers that can outrightedly murder their children for selfish reasons, like Diane Downs, SHOULD be put to death! Mothers that ALLOW their babies to be beaten, tortured, starved, mistreated and killed DESERVE TO DIE!!

Newborns don't prefer "to breath through their mouths". They don't develop the reflex to breath through their mouths until 3-4 months old. That's why it's serious when a newborn get a stuffy/congested nose.

Hello, Youngsters! I am happy to watch and listen to you both. You give me faith that there remains empathy, kindness and emotional intelligence as well as story telling skills, to be found with such relatively young people. I hope you are all well and healthy! I am sure the story will be horrendous. But will be so deftly told.

Especially if it was by a person who was supposed to love them. I also hope the other three are doing well too and are in the process of healing.

If a baby/child survives something like that, they're going to start asking questions eventually and once they find out, they're life is going to be changed forever!!! they would be better off not knowing I feel, poor little Angel's, so innocent and tiny, and if these depraved monsters don't want children, there are so many different ways to PROTECT yourself, but they don't think like that because they're so evil and demented 😈

  • @spiritualtruthseeker1947

I think that the judgements in both cases were fair. Racism on the part of the public is responsible for the distorted view of Skylar’s case. If she wasn’t a pretty white cheerleader, no one would have wanted her to get the death penalty for burying a stillborn infant in the backyard.

    • @patriciablue2832

This is insane. For those who don't know what any bites down in the south feel like, as an adult just ONE bite will make me jump in pain, and the following stinging itch lasts for a long time
I remember one time at the park our son stepped in an ant pile and wrap shocked by the pain he just stood there screaming. We immediately knew what happened and my husband sprinted to him to rip his shoes and socks off of his little 4 year old feet and pour cold water on his legs. I can't imagine how this poor baby suffered.

Nothing can excuse what she did. I don't care if she was depressed, if she couldn't care for them, if her _"socio-economic status"_ somehow forced her to not seek help, there's no excuse. Her race has nothing to do with it, either, Skylar's case was entirely different. You don't throw helpless babies away like trash. You can leave them at fire stations with no questions asked, I don't see how anyone can justify her doing this insane shit to these babies.

Does it matter what these experts are saying about Malichi’s death? Look what she did to Paris! There is a pattern here! Also, there is no law against having your baby at home! She knows that. Many women choose home births (I did) and some have precipitous labors and the baby comes at home before they can get to their birth center or hospital.
    She’s an abusive murderer!

I have been a viewer of your channel for a while now and me and my girlfriend both watch your videos. I can say that each time I see a story I cant believe how people or should I say P.O.S's can treat innocent children the way they do. We have a 10 month old son and no matter what I could never imagine neither doing or having anything happen to him that would cause him any type of pain in any way. The way that both of you tell these stories are both very informative and also entertaining and yours is definately a channel I enjoy watching.

My child had failure to thrive right after I had her. I had to basically wake her up and make her eat. I didn't sleep for the first few weeks of her life for fear of missing her feeding time and losing my baby. I can't imagine ever even considering doing anything to hurt my child.

I think the difference between the two is that Skylar had a stillborn baby and Kanesha's son died under very suspicious circumstances and she then abandoned a baby in an ant hill. Skylars baby wasn't alive when it was born both of Kanesha's were born alive

You guys do True Crime the most justice (No pun intended) out of any channel on YT, imho. You really focus on making sure the victims have voices, and as a survivor of years of abuse and a mother of 4, that means more than you could ever know. You are fantastic at making sure the audience really feels what they should feel for each individual case. Thank you both for all the work you put in to each video. So much love! ❤
