There was so much apathy and sheer neglect from the police, cps, and the "justice" system it's appalling.
Here's the thing, children tend to be more honest than adults. They need to be away from the people who are being questioned for wrong doing. They are too scared to tell the truth when the tormentors can hear them. Give them a safe space and listen to what they are saying as well as what they aren't.
It should never happen, and yet it so frequently does. There is obviously adults in all positions that need to answer for the wrongs committed since the adults are the one's making the decisions for these helpless children.
Shame on you who didn't do your job, shame on you that didn't look for the truth and welfare of these kids, but most of all shame on you despicable monsters that would hurt and neglect an innocent child.

Mary Yunker's decision to not allow communication between the biological parents of a shared custody child, for reasons of psychologically induced seizers was "extremely unconstitutional" & unprecedented in judicial decision legalities for acting "without medical evidentiary proof" for cause & diagnosis. This poor excuse for a judge and her decision should have been contested immediately and most definitely would have been overturned by any other higher court judge. With out evidentiary proof and medical diagnosis from a medical professional who specializes in Trama induced seizers. This judiciary decision is biased on "the blatant bias of hearsay, from a nonparent with extreme prejudice" that would only hinder the health and wellbeing of said, child in question. Not to mention it completely undermines the rights and responsibilities of the biological parents.

If I were the neighbor I would have called cops 20 times a day if I had to and been there when they arrived and insist. I would have recorded their activity and bring it in as evidence. I might even band with neighbors to get something done. I may have broken in when the husband was not home to intervene if I had to. I would have called all the TV station sif I had to. In my area we had a couple kids being beaten by their mother under 10. One was beaten much more so and one day I heard her call the boy horrible names and he had marks all over him when she had him take out the trash. I called the lkandlord and showed him and her pictures. We called cops and I even went to the municipal court judge at the end of the session. Hours late we saw the place raided and the three kids removed. One looked horrible. The other two also were not in great shape but did not appear harmed. All 3 were crying and begging not to be taken away. One kid said his mom told him they would go to jail if teh cops had to come. She too was arrested, booked, and released. Two months later she disappeared I never saw her again and a month after that the sheriff threw their stuff on the street as the landlord evicted them. they toys were boxed up and presumably taken to where the kids were. I learn she plead guilty and did a couple years prison time and she was terminated as a parent though.

    • @sorryifoldcomment8596
      @sorryifoldcomment8596 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

Exactly. I already written out this rant so I'm leaving it here too:
Screaming from a TV might sound the same from within the apartment, but if you're not in the apartment you can usually tell whether or not speakers are responsible for the noise. Especially if the volume is so high that neighbors can hear it!
I have personal experience with this...speakers cause vibrations and that's what travels first. If the volume is high enough, then the vibrations manage to escape the walls & enter the air as sound waves ...and if the volume is even higher, *then* you'll be able to make out what is even playing over the sound system (music, voices, shooting video games, etc.).
I have experience with all 3 stages. I also have experience with hearing voices generated by actual people...and the experience is very different than if the same neighbors play their conversation through a sound system.
You can also go stand right outside the apartment door and that will allow you to get an even better idea of whether it's coming from human vocal chords inside or coming from speakers.
You know what I've never experienced? Hearing screams.
Even if somehow that much screaming was consistently being played over the speakers, I'd be able to pick up the vibrations & back up noise (and that layer of background noise would come first)...Media that involves screaming also involves music, shooting, dialogue, etc.
Media involving screaming might trick me at first, and I'd definitely investigate to see if I can pick up whether or not it's coming from a sound system...but if the screaming continued for long enough I'd be able to figure it out.
I mean, come on. Are we to believe that they are literally the only ones in the entire building who ever blast media involving screaming? Wouldn't there be calls to police constantly if people can't tell the difference?
Maybe one call in the beginning could be a fluke...maybe a new neighbor experiencing this apartment and having issues with noise for the first time...but multiple complaints over time?

I don’t think I can’t post actual website but if you google you can probably find it if you are curious. I can’t find anything that says the case has been dismissed as of yet.
This case is disgusting and these agencies need to be held accountable. Kelsey was held in contempt for withholding the children during the 5 week investigation of abuse of Noah yet the father could hold the daughter for 6 months because of pandemic. The number of CPS complaints, verbal complaints from actual victims and police contacts that went nowhere is just ridiculous. As a parent myself, I’ve had CPS called on me zero times and police have been called zero times. If CPS and police are called 30+ times for one family obviously something is going on.

And nothing they do to another person is *ever* wrong in their demented and evil mind.
I feel so sad & sorry for these children who were *so* obviously being abused.
And I feel sorry for *all* children who have suffered & are suffering now at the hands of a malignant narcissist parent(s)
The police and CPS obviously *need* to take action before it's too late! They need to step up and do their jobs at the first signs of *any* problems and/or abuse!
If they then find that there's nothing wrong going on then it's no big deal! When it comes to the safety and welfare of a child, it's blatantly clear that it's *much* *much* better to err on the side of caution than to cause irreparable harm by not doing their jobs!
The warning signs were everywhere repeatedly-repeatedly A LOT!
It's another tragedy that *never* should have happened!

WTF . . . 27 years for these evil idiots??? It should be life, no parole, ever. This is one of the worst cases of extreme CPS, judicial and police malfeasance ever rendered in the case of a grievously tortured and killed young child. The judge, especially, was weirdly against even looking into this case, as if she had some other agenda already affecting her "judgement", or severe lack thereof. I'll never understand this sort of thing, especially when the other kids were not harmed. With any luck, maybe these two might get some "prison justice" along the way.

It’s not just the amount that are willing, willing is just thinking about it, that’s even more people than people are willing to accept, then there’s the amount of people who actually do it just one time when they get either so frustrated or didn’t have enough sleep or were in a bad situation - not that those are any acceptable excuses but it happens once, they realize how messed up it truly was and they don’t do it again, then there’s the sick f*@ks who continue to do over and over again and eventually get caught, and worst of all is the ones who keep doing it and actually get away with it. The amount that keeps doing it which actually ends up killing kids is rare but it does happen. Unless they are some sort of psychopath usually they try to make some kind of excuse or blame it on someone else. it’s just so sick. This case reminded me kind of like the family that lived next door to me growing up. The poor kids in that family didn’t escape their fate until their dad died when he got drunk at 7AM and got run over by a snow plow (brutal I know) and then after that their mom flat out ran out on them. That was way before cellphones or even when normal people would even have access to pagers so they didn’t know she was gone for a while. Believe me it was for the best. They had a much better life after that.

I took my Rottie and my neighbor took his and we found they people. All these kids came up as I'm telling these guys in a van with white robes and nothing under those robes that if I hear of a kid being kidnapped the dogs will be set loose on them. No cell phones than and I went home and called the police. They told me since she wasn't kidnapped they couldn't do anything but those people were on their watch list. They moved out that night. Now a days they would tell people about a possible kidnapping back then not even worth a mention.

When I was an MSW student in North Carolina early 2000s, they had moved away from interviewing kids at school to at-home with parents present. It's more "family-centered" they said, and "we want to work with the family as a unit." Even then, I thought that was pretty much the stupidest idea ever. Unfortunately, many states favor parental rights and family preservation over children's safety. I've worked with plenty of addicts who were capable of being good parents when in recovery, and those are families worth trying to preserve **IF you can get the parents off drugs. Then, there are a whole bunch of sadistic monster parents who should never be let near children - like in this case and in nearly every case where kids die by their parents. No amount of parenting classes will fix this situation. This is hands-down a case that should have moved immediately to termination of parental rights.
Really what it boils down to is that kids are viewed more as parental property than separate beings with their own rights. Interestingly enough, animals gained rights and protection from cruelty before children.

Im trying to figure out why the cops didn't arrest dad earlier on for kidnapping. Violation of a custody order is kidnapping, and you can, and in most cases, will have your parental rights terminated. Also, as an ex mp, i wanted to add that if you are reporting possible abuse to the police, please do not do it anonymously. You need to give the police your name, address, and phone number so they can come collect a witness statement from you. Anonymous reports dont carry much weight and is a huge part of the reason police and cps can't do their jobs.

around that time the police were also not making contact as much as possible, so something like a custody case (where you know where the parent is and theyre not making any moves to leave the state or anything) isn't considered serious enough for the police to break quarantine. lj0727 is right, they used quarantine as an excuse, and it worked well because at the time we didn't know what the hell was going on so most people didn't want to take the risk

The only time I’ve ever heard of something even similar to that happening is in the case of PNES (or Conversion Disorder) patients. It is possible for the brain to convert severe mental stress into a false seizure, but even then it’s unknown if simply being near a person that causes said stress can trigger the seizure. Plus the child was NOT diagnosed with this condition prior, there’s no reason the judge should’ve believed such a thing was actually taking place.

My god, this woman was stopped at every turn and those same judges, police and CPS workers refused to listen to and believe Noah when he told them he was abused even going so far as to blame his mom Kelce for "coaching" him !!!!!!!!! Also, numerous strangers constantly calling reporting child abuse and they STILL refuse to believe it! It is stunning! Stories like this break my heart. I feel so bad for the kids in this case and the little girl with the perforated bowel and still being made to do things.
I can't imagine what she felt as a child going through this. I as an adult had perforated bowel in my late 20's and felt like I was literally dying. The vomiting of black, yellow and sometimes greenish vomit. The feeling of having to go bathroom really bad but nothing was happening. The inability to walk or sit, lay or stand comfortably, was horrible.
I was (as the doctors said) on the line of being within deaths reach.
To imagine a child feeling this and knowing there was no help and the people who were to love her and protect them...were trying to take their lives.

Thank you Misery Machine for covering these cases even though it's very apparent it takes a toll on your mental health. Please take care of each other! These babies need you! I don't understand how anyone could hurt any child ever? As a mum of 5 I just cannot imagine allowing someone to hurt a single hair of any one of my kids heads let alone torture them to their death? I hope that they really have an awful time in jail! How are they not even going to be locked up for the rest of their natural lives? How can anyone justify letting them out after so many years? Why should they have a single day of freedom now? Autumn has no more days free on the earth so why should they? These cases involving innocent precious babies break my heart so much because it makes me think if my own babies and how would I feel if anything were to happen to any of them! This case really hit home💔! My name is Autumn as well and I was abused and can’t believe I’m even alive to see this story.
RIP Autumn, you beautiful soul who didn’t deserve any of this.
A lot of this story is what I went through-the system not helping, verbal sexual and beaten, neglect, being starved, made to eat food that was spit on and old, made to stand in the corner for hours with my hand in the air while holding heavy books above my head, had guns to my head, only aloud to drink water from a toilet, and having to lay in my pee for weeks straight because i wasn’t aloud to use the toilet. So much more….this abuse started from the age of 2 years old till I was 7 and then finally was taken away to a foster home. What
Autumn endured was more than me and I feel for her. She didn’t deserve any of this. 😞
