We basically can‘t guarantee english competency of those participating in the ESA... i come from Frankfurt where there are lots of other Germans who speak English well, but don‘t get humor and references from the US (or can‘t pick up a lot if you speak fast enough). Case in point, I remember watching Deadpool on OV. I was with friends who were either Americans or had great command of the language - we basically were the only ones in the entire theatre laughing at the subtle jokes and minute references!
When he was talking about the big guns skill check I was confused, thinking you could intimidate kellog or something, but then he just nuked everyone. I think it was too subtle for the crowd
