  • What a disgusting group of players who used the #metoo game to manipulate another player...and even worse they voted out the person who genuinely felt creeped out by the creepster and KEPT HIM in the game!!.

    Kellee had already told him not to touch her and he continued to, he is fully aware of his actions and doesn't respect women's boundaries and I hate it when men OR women say they are just "touchy" or "huggy" people when they clearly are huggy and touchy and creepy toward one gender. Anyhow, he was called out on it and Missy and LIz said he stopped the behavior then decided to use it against him as game play. Dori when keelle let Dan know that he made her uncomfortable I think he used it as a psychological game on her. In this case it backfired on him royally.and before you say anything about how inappropriate was there's over a dozen different players that played mind games and s*** like that over the years. What makes me ill is the other women using is gameplay

    • @dori3will
      @dori3will 4 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      @@Get_Bent_79 Obviously it wasn't just a psychological game on her or for the game's sake because he got kicked off the show for doing the same thing to staff who weren't even playing the game (off camera). Dan apparently likes to play psychological games with women and seems to think it's okay. I'm glad he got busted. There's plenty of moves in the Survivor game that I would disagree with and deem inappropriate. HOWEVER, no one has ever alerted the producers that they felt violated by any game moves by other players. I don't believe Dan had the game in mind when he was touching Kellee. It's just another way of excusing his behavior.

    I think one of the most egregious moments for me, that gets overlooked a lot, is when Dan says "I work in an industry in which the MeToo movement... was allowed, thank god, to blossom", because it's such a good example of how excellent Dan is at rephrasing things to shift blame. The MeToo movement was not "allowed to blossom" in the entertainment industry (and specifically the casting industry that Dan is PART OF), it was suppressed for YEARS and only happened when it reached a boiling point, when it was TOO BAD to keep sweeping under the rug. The fact that he frames it here as if the casting industry was at the forefront of "allowing" women to finally speak up and be heard and not actively putting them in those awful situations in the first place and then silencing them suggests so much about how he thinks about what happened here.

    • @Turquise8
      @Turquise8 3 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Another example of this is immediately after, when he reframes the situation to making people uncomfortable when he touches them in a crowded shelter or just moving through people around camp, which makes Kellee sound like she's being unreasonable because of course in those situations there's going to be some brief, completely normal and unavoidable physical contact, even though we were explicitly shown him reaching out to touch Kellee's hair while they were walking down a WIDE OPEN beach, or playing with Missy's foot while they were sitting around at the merge feast. And he literally grabs Noura while doing it.

And I absolutely hated how at the very end, it like switched back to the game, and Jamal went home, despite everything else that went down- Jamal, innocent and an advocate (better one than Missy and Elizabeth) for the women on this show, went home, instead of DAN, who blatantly touched women (proof in actual video!!!) really just shows how gameplay related this was. Yes you have to. That doesn’t mean believing it 100% happened, it means believing they’re telling the truth and taking it seriously and taking it to a court of law for investigation

      @@coryburns4309 thats literally what i said. you have to believe women as if it happened and then investigate. you cant accuse people of lying when theyre gettig touched when theres no evidence. and also this actually has nothing to do with being a woman so i dont know why you brought that up. it has to do with being a victim of sexual assault.

      @@coryburns4309 you treat them as if their accusations are true. the only way that works is if you believe them. if you dont believe them then its never investiagted

      @@coryburns4309 nope got it all wrong. You have the most responsibility to believe a accuser over something theyre accusing somebody over. When it says believe victims they once again dont mean believe victims as if theyre correct but believe it as if their accusation is serious. A lot of people dont take accusers seriously when they bring it up later rather than the moment that happened and thats a problem, its clear u didnt watch the whole tribal
