I doubt think any player from season 39 ever appears again in any capacity. And I think they’ve sadly actually gone overboard with casting since even (everyone is too nice/fans/unproblematic) that it’s gotten a bit too samey without enough drama or fun villains.
Can’t believe you didn’t include Missy getting voted out in 39. She was a massive bully that weaponized Kellee’s sexual assault against her and Janet to get them voted out. She constantly targeted Karishma as well. She’s the biggest Survivor Villain of all time For me. The way she screamed and yelled when voted out was epic.

Nothing really happened; in fact, if production had balls an ACTUAL consequence might have befallen him other than Jeff scolding him and a general warning. Like, oh no he looked bad. Sure showed him. Not to mention that capes came in for him not being as bad as The Bitches before the season was over and too many people acted like they "of course have to say that Dan was bad" before blaming someone as worse. That's not a villain downfall. He got off lighter than he deserved.

Drew was not a villian, and he also felt like one of the few players that season that were actually playing to win, if anything Julie and Dee were the villains of the season, I remember all of the cast talking about how Julie was making end game deals with everyone, and that was the reason everyone was targeting her, because she was trying to play everybody, but the edit just showed her as the "mom" and Dee was definitely a manipulator, Austin literally gave up a million dollars for a relationship that lasted a couple of months from the looks of it

The guys name is Dan Spilo and he grabbed a female crew member on her lower Thai in the final 6 of the season and had allegedly grabbed multiple women throughout the game on the island but most used it stratigically to tank his and Janet another player who tried to put an end to the whole situations game
If this was about villain karma, in general instead of villain exit Russell, Hantz, going to final tribal council and losing on back-to-back seasons, would tie for second
Too many advantages. Too much time wasted on sob stories. There’s trible councils that are 15-20 minutes long in the newer seasons when there is talk about race or crap like that. So those might be it.
For me, I think it's that they just went overboard with the storyline(s). Every season from 6 and on had to have a villain -- I don't know why. I mean, I enjoyed 6, 11, and 12, but every season felt bogged down by their ridiculous need to have one person create drama. In the first 5 seasons or so, it just seemed more natural; it focused more on actual strategy than just mind games and making everyone paranoid.

Tai using the super idol would have gotten him voted out anyway. With a 2-2 split between him and Aubrey the revote would have sent Scott’s votes onto him. It was a perfect play from Tai.

He won the second and final Edge of Extinction comeback challenge and won the season. That's why Edge of Extinction was a twist that fans didn't really like. Because he hadn't been active for very long.

Aubry only got 2 votes bc Tai was supposed to vote for her and voted for Scot to give him 4. Had he not flipped, it would be 3-3 between Scot and Aubry, Scot would have played the idol, and Aubry would leave.

They could combine their single idols into a double idol that could be played after the vote. But Tai wouldn't do it, because he figured out where he stood with Scot and Jason.
@@PintheDog Also, weren't Tai and Aubrey next with two votes each? Meaning a revote would result in most of Scott's votes transferred to Tai. As a clear Scott ally having saved him. Still can't figure out why they expected Tai to torch his own game, unless I'm missing something.
Aubry only got 2 votes bc Tai was supposed to vote for her and voted for Scot to give him 4. Had he not flipped, it would be 3-3 between Scot and Aubry, Scot would have played the idol, and Aubry would leave.
