Leica also has the largest network of Galleries in the world. The perfect way to really view images. Printed and hung up. No other camera company has this much dedication to photography. This is another reason the community is so strong. Wonderful video and images. Thank you
Great video. I picked up the Q3 43 a couple of weeks ago. I have owned a multitude of the best system camera for specific purposes and I enjoy and marvel at the photographic quality and improvements of high end point-and-shots. The Q3 43, as with all of the other Q camera are incredible professional quality cameras that can also function as the best point-and-shoots money can buy. If I want to really craft a shot I have the ability to intuitively put the entire system into manual focus, aperture, and shutter speed. Purchased it for some of my upcoming travel where I will only take one camera, other than my iPhone. I really, really like this camera and totally like 43 lens vs the 27mm lenses of my Q2 Mono and Q1.
I agree 100%. Nice review and beautiful images. And thank you for all your helpful video's. I have both Q3's and am enjoying them, the community and ecosystem as you say. Happy New Year!
You are definitively right: The Q3 43 is really delivering in an outstanding way. I got mine since 3 weeks now and the images are sharp, sharper, sharpest! Even sharper than my Fuji GFX 100S with the 50mm lens (to my mind the most under rated GFX lens) and which is the lens having almost the same field of view as the 43… And for what it is delivering, it is still a small camera. I was opting for the Q3 since ist came out, but never wanted the 28mm, as this is just too wide for what I like to shoot.
I've the Leica Q3 43. Am loving it. Still learning new things about it and your videos have helped. It's a beaut of a camera and I feel inspired and excited when I use it. I'll be keep an eye on your channel in 2025. Thanks and good luck : )
Mensch, Du hast das recht. I am with you every step of the way. The Q3 43 is a jack of all trades/bonne a toute faire camera. It shoots the same angle I can see and I can use the electronic zoom so I do not need a tele. Color and IQ are very good. It is not an X2D but it is good. It is not perfect but no camera is. But for a camera that can be picked up and used for just about everything, the Q3 43 is what we have today. Great review. Knowledgeable, concise, orderly and well presented. Thanks.
I love the NY pictures. Makes me want to go! I think the Q Series is perfect for traveling, if you are short on space. I once rented the Q2 for a weekend to take some pictures. It was a blast. Is it expensive, yes, but the camera makes you want to go out and shoot(at least for me). And I think if a camera, does not matter what brand, is capable of doing so it is worth every penny. 😊 Hope you had a nice X-Mas. Hope you will have a superb New Years Eve. Also, almost 50k!!! So close. I bet you can reach 50k before New Years. I will try and help by posting on my social media. Every single follower counts 😊😊😊
Great video. I just picked up my 43 was wondering if you have noticed a magenta shift in the photos that a few people have mentioned because I see it in my pictures. As well do you find the photos to be 0.3 over exposed?
I still love my Hasselblad with the V lenses. A really interesting review. Yours always are. I especially LUST after that Q3 007 version. Thanks for all your videos this tear and I certainly look forward to what you share in 2025. Best wishes to you and yours.
I wondered if we could have a 50mm Q3, and then they gave us 43, which is fantastic. Then I understand why they made the Q 28mm in the first place. I love 43mm Q3, but I must admit that the 28mm version is more versatile. I got one 43mm when it was just released and then sold it. I will wait for the Q4 43mm.
I have been waiting for years for a Q3 with a 40 mm lens instead of the 28 and Leica has finally delivered. Now that it is here, I find myself in a quandary between the Q3 43, a Hasselblad x100 with 55 mm lens or upgrading my Sony system with an A1-2. I know these are first world problems, so I apologize for that up front. The reason for me to get the Q3 43 or the Hasselblad is to simplify my photography carry, particularly on trips (one camera, one lens). The Q3 43 biggest advantage IMO is weather sealing and biggest negative will be critical autofocus. The Hasselblad with 55 mm lens biggest advantages for me are (1) something new and totally out of the box and of course (2) huge resolution. The Hasselblad's negatives are critical autofocus and the cost of the system. The Sony A1-2 biggest advantage for me is it expands my existing system with a body that enables photography of fast-movers (like birds) due to incredible autofocus. I like to shoot with shallow DOF where the position of the focus point is critical. It is for this reason I will likely end up with the Sony A1-2, but I will be making a trip to B&H soon to try out all 3 and make a final decision. If you have any thoughts, I would love to hear them. All the best.
For landscapes, was thinking of adding a Q3 43 to support longer range cropping to current Q2 Ghost Edition for wides. OTOH, instead of carrying 2 cameras, perhaps more sensible to add a SL3+24 or 28-70 zoom for 1 camera 1 lens to get full 60 mp resolution?
Great video as always, but I dispute your statement that a 43mm is good for portraits. Nothing beats a 105mm. Will Leica ever deliver a q with a proper portrait fashion shooters lens? Not just cropping in, but with the background compression. Thank you.
Nice video, I have both the Q2M & Q2. I'm considering selling the Q2 and buying the Q3 43. I don't think I want all three. What's your opinion? Also many have said the 28mm on the Q2 & Q3 is closer to a 25mm. Is the Q3 43 a true 43mm? has it been tested???
I'm dreaming about q3 28-50 lens without middle focal length. for me, the macro(not real macro even)feature is basically useless. if there would be a 50mm zoom instead of macro it will be the perfect one for me.
Hey Math, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer and looking for more much needed works, would you love to have a logo redesign for your photography business and your channel to have a brand image your audience can remember your contents from and also can be one of the merch print you can sell to your fans to buy and own and share the words about your channel too? Let me know if you interested and I would love to work with you to design these for you! :-)
Sure, I can create one inspired from a 43 A, just need to get noticed from Math, he is sure busy, hope I can get to work with him, a artistic logo for him, a closer step for me to get a Zf with 28-400mm f4-8 later! :-)
Dude considering exchanging my q3 28mm for the 43mm. Most of my work is 35-60mm all my 28 pics end up being cropped. So common sense says 43 suits my style more. What would you recommend
You should consider picking up the 'Haoge Square Metal Lens Hood for Leica Q3-43' as it allows filters and macro mode access.
Fantastic video! Love the input from Ms Mathphotographer junior!
Thank you for all of the great and very informative videos. The NYC panorama pictures are stunning!

Thank you for your extraordinary work on your channel. From a very happy Q3 43 owner.
In 2024 I picked up a R3 Safari at auction and have to say it’s been a blast. Love the SL3. AMAZING photos of NY. Happy New Year Maths…. and ✌️out
Love my Q3 43. It really is a joy to use.
I agree 100%. Nice review and beautiful images. And thank you for all your helpful video's. I have both Q3's and am enjoying them, the community and ecosystem as you say. Happy New Year!
BRILLIANT! I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH FROM YOU. I AM VISITING YOUR BEAUTIFUL CITY OF ZURICH FOR THE HOLIDAYS

great photos!.... I enjoy very much
the panoramic image. Did you use
a tripod?
What a precise and informative post. Really enjoy your presentations.
This was excellent video and thought provoking

Speaking of build quality I’ve seen a lot of people say while yes it’s a solid piece of kit.. it chips and nicks pretty easily and looks used easily
I wondered if we could have a 50mm Q3, and then they gave us 43, which is fantastic.

I got one 43mm when it was just released and then sold it. I will wait for the Q4 43mm.
I wanted to ask if you used the perspective control function cause all of your pictures are perfectly straight vertically with the buildings
Agree. I had one but sold it because I am not shooting much and I just downgraded to a D-LUX8.

Wondering if u can provide some tips to fight GAS. Seems u have the same issue as I have, only at a far more extreme level 😂
Great video as always, but I dispute your statement that a 43mm is good for portraits. Nothing beats a 105mm. Will Leica ever deliver a q with a proper portrait fashion shooters lens? Not just cropping in, but with the background compression. Thank you.
Gotta have 3 dials 🤷

Interested in this! I wonder if it’s actually a little lower?
@@timhoughton5174 I would say it is. From what I understand Leica correctly calibrated the color temperature EVF and back screen unlike the Q2
Happy New Year my Friend. Mac NYC

That’s perfect 43 choice Dude! Go for it.
