Aghhh! I've been racking my head trying to figure out how to get the exact shutter speed I'm looking for. Thanks for teaching and showing us that we must first place the shutter speed dial to +1 in order to get full control of the shutter speed settings. Thank you sooo much!

Hi there. I love your teaching. I have seen your Q teaching series and am now referencing the Part 3 episode on video shooting for the Q. Can you advise where I would find LUTs compatible for L-Log other than what Leica has on the site?

For the in between shutter speed stops, you can also access them via the control wheel without going into the menu first.

Mensch, vielen Dank, Herr Lehrer. I am still waiting for mine but a little studying beforehand is a very good idea. Schön.

Thanks for posting. In regards to the centering of the focus point, it will also work, if your lcd screen is turned off and you are looking through the evf. So while looking via the evf , with the lcd turned off, when you double tap the lcd screen the focus point will return to center.

That double tab to set the AF back to the center was very helpful. Thank you.

Hi Math. Good video like we are use to get from you.
Push to get focus cross in the middle is someting I asked for since prior Q's.
After shooting with the Q43 I have to say I like the 43 mm over the 28mm as focal length. In 2021 I already asked for a 50 mm Q with a Summicron lens. My prayers are heard and even more cause the APO summicron delivers. The output is better than the 28mm summilux. Had to step back to frame the shot in the beginning but that will be matter of getting used to. Shooting at 36mp for obvious reasons.
I am very happy with the 43. My camera shop got 8 the first day after release. I bought mine straight from the parcel box. Same day they sold another 3. This is a true winner for Leica 🎉

Yeah the lens has been incredible so far for me. A lot of characteristics I liked with the 50mm APO-Lanthar from Voigtländer

Hi, in ‘live’ view mode, can the LCD be completely free of data/text to give a clear view when composing? Thanks

Excellent Quick Tutorial Math! Waiting for my order to be delivered. It appears you have installed a rear screen protector. I do not have one on my Q2M, Should I get one? Any recommendations?

I have a Q3 (28mm) and, considering exchange to the Q3 43. Can you help me better understand the difference in Depth of Field effects between the 28mm and 43mm lens?

Took, your advice on settings for video. But da Vinci resolve on Mac doesn’t seem to like MOV files.

Assuming focal length difference is no concern, do you think the 43 APO lens is worth the upgrade from the standard 28? Is what you lose with aperture worth what you gain from having an APO lens?

Hi math, great video as always. Can I ask can you do a video on back button focus on the Q3 and Q3-43 please? Thank you. Would it work the Same as the Q2 video you did?

That is the diopter correction wheel. One push and it comes out and can be turned in both directions for diopter control.

Hi, if you set DNG to 36MP as a standard setting, how much MP do you haven then in the 75mm crop mode? Still 21MP like with the 60MP setting or less?

You do not need to be in AF in EVF (Quick Settng On), for the focus box to be centered with a double tap on the screen. Double tap the screen centers the focus box no matter what when you are looking thru the EVF. I have Touch EVF off and Touch AF in EVF Off also. I can still double tap the screen while looking thru the EVF (LCD off) to center my focus box. Once I move my eye from view finder and EVF turns off double tapping the LCD will not work until the EVF is active again. I’ve been able to do this on my Q2M and Q3 always.

I'm guessing that they think the customizable control screen (touch/hold an item to change) makes the fav menu unnecessary (SL3). Agree they should bring it back. It's one of those things that if you don't know about it, you'll never fret about it, but if you like it, you'll miss it.

Filter problem is not a big problem but it’s ridiculous you can’t put one (useful or not) with the standard hood. 😬

The functionality is identical to the Q3 28mm!!!!!! The Q3 43mm just has a different lens!

Really sorry, but I had to give up on this - it looks like an excellent quality video, but there's just too many ads to sit through.
