It takes two is the best coop game I've ever played. It's one of the only ones I actually finished. Not switch exclusive. Not sure how it performs on switch. It's a literal masterpiece.
An amazing thing about Super Mario Wonder is the character choice! By choosing a Yoshi or Nabbit, you become immune to most damage/knockback. It's a great accessibility feature, and doesn't block achievements like the Invincibility Leaf in Super Mario 3D World.
Nintendo is the only system that won't let you down when your friends come over. Luigi's Mansion, Mario 3d world, Mario kart & party, Mario wonder, super smash, Pikmin 3,... All better 2 player experiences than anything competition offers. Only sports games really...
I have no idea how your channel ended up in my algorithm, but I'm REALLY glad your channel ended up in my algorithm. I love co-op, especially couch co-op. Definitely subscribed
@ClassicCo-op that's a tough question, but off the top of my head, It Takes Two, A Way Out, and most Mario games. I play with my wife who's not a gamer, and have a baby that hopefully will get into games in the future
Just bought “Ink” - good game to play with a 12 yr old. Thx for the recommendation. Pretty game, good music, smart mechanics, good variety of play ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m saving this video for this upcoming Black Friday list. I’m getting my 5yr Switch . Tired of waiting for switch 2 and if really that good, I’ll get it for him a year or so later. He’s my only boy so why not. But Wii for us is getting old and I’m pleasantly surprised how well he did with Super Mario bros in Wii so he’s ready for a switch this christmas . His favorite game is Super Smash Bro so that’s a must but I see 8 games on this list I’m getting 😂 I love coop games for the experiences we have together
excellent list... I would add Untitled Goose Game and Pico Park also.. I play with my kids all the time and its a blast. Pokemon Lets Go also, but you have to read a lot for them lol
Man that’s a lot of Kirby games 😜 😂 really appreciate your work and perspective on these vids. I have a 6 yr old daughter also and I’m always trying to find coop games to play with her
Great video as always! So weird to see some indie games exclusive to switch, as a Game developer I really don't understand how this works. They probably manage to get an exclusive deal with nintendo, dunno how. Probably indication. It is not easy to develop to switch, getting a nintendo DevKit is such a pain.
Great vid like always! A very fresh one: The Switch version of World of Goo 2 seems to have an exclusive co-op mode (even with up to 4 players from what I've read, but that would be pure chaos!).
Quad Fighter K's docking mechanic is basically the same as Aegis Wing on 360 which is another 4 player coop shoot'em up (though its only 3 player local coop for some reason).
I have that game. It was free on Xbox gold for the 360 one month. But only in America. I live in Ireland so had to switch my IP address etc to get it. Absolutely worth it
It’s hard to find games with so much variety like that one, but there are lots of great games that were built around co-op. Have you played the other games from the developer? Brothers and a way out? I would start there. Unravel 2, the littlebigplanet games, are great equal experiences. Some great indie games I would recommend are “Arise: a simple story”, “Voyage”, and “Rikki and Vikkie”. We talk exclusively about couch co-op games here. Look at some of our videos for more recommendations!
Quad Fighter K. Why didn't I know about it?! You got a like and a sub for that one. Now I can play with my 7 year old and she is helping while I fly. Thank you!
3:12 yeah, the fake outs in Luigi's Mansion is why I quit most of the way through. I'm fine with the trope of Bowser running away to the next castle, but having a button ripped away while screwing it in really creates a feeling of hopelessness. I'm totally fine with just adding more levels, or ghosts re-infesting an area I previously cleared.
Completely disagree about wonder. Hate the camera. 3d world is far superior for co op. I actually believe wonder is only fun single player. My kids hate it bc it’s so frustrating
@@ClassicCo-op we must’ve had completely opposite experiences. Rayman legends ported to every console from the 360 generation Forward to the switch would be another great addition to the list since you allowed titles like tropical freeze and 3-D world that we’re not exclusive to the switch on here
yeah also if you play with kids, wonder is way too difficult for them. My kid can really only do the early levels after that he keeps dying and falling into pits and cant figure out how to do wall jumps and stuff

Agreed! One of my favorites!
It’s kind of exhausting tbh
I’m very ready for it to be done

Totally! And a great way to include less skilled players!
I gave my gf Yoshi cause i got tired of her dying and taking my powerups😅

Totally agree! Always a reliable source for co-op gaming!
Boomerang Fu best multiplayer on switch 6 player on single screen

Shout out to Overcooked 1&2, best co-op games of the last decade IMO
Love those games!

Good selection away from the usual suspects. Thx.
That was the goal. Thanks!

Overcooked and Moving Out are the most fun coop

Yeah, I have no idea how any of that works. There’s so many games on the eshop, it’s easy to miss some of those smaller titles.

Can u redo this with special focus on "playing with your kid"?
I'm currently looking for games to play with my kids. Now I'll try Kirby 😉
I’ll work on that sometime! In the meantime, I put out a video last year of the best family co-op games of 2023, if you want to check that out!
@@ClassicCo-op thx i'll have a look. It's not easy to find good games for kids and parents together.

Oh nice! Yeah, that one slipped under my radar for a while too! It’s solid.
That Triforce Heroes box was pretty misleading..thought i had missed a switch rerelease.
Sorry. Not my intention 😅
Is pikmin 4 good for two player or is it just a baby brother mode like mario odyssey?
Yeah, it’s just an assist mode. Pikmin 3 is a great game for co-op though.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is also pretty good 👍
I enjoyed the the game until I got stuck haha
Love me some Kirby
Me too, as you can see 😅
Exactly the video I was looking for!
Also got a 6 yr old daughter and we love playing co-ops so this is perfect. Thank you! 😊

That’s awesome! Thanks for stopping by. I’ll try to do another video focused on co-op with kids again.
followed because of kirby^^
Yes 🙌🏻
Which kirby game
On switch is your favorite?
You're only missing overcooked
I expected this to be #1...
I didn't like stretchers that much. Great concept but it wasn't great

Can someone kinda help elaborate for me about why people love Smash Bros?
I have the game rn and I don’t get it, ur basically just spamming buttons….
