Hi, what made me stop your series on the character creator is that we couldn't find a solution for the visible line between the head and the body for metahumans. There is a solution. This is not to cut the mesh. We can spawn the armor over the body, and mask if necessary, body parts or the entire body with a texture mask. Hope this motivates you to finish the series. I really enjoyed it
Yeah, I've since learned about this method. But yeah, not if or when I'll come back. I'm struggling with some medical issues, so I haven't been doing much game dev stuff at all.
@@GreiratoftheUndeadSettlement You have to search. For my game it's related to inventory. If you are new, learn enumerations, structures, database. Then look for how to create a texture mask (very easy on blender). Then learn how to create an inventory. But before launching into a series of tutorials, understand what the TH-camr wants to create with his series. It's complex. And modifying an inventory according to your needs risks being even more so.
Welcome. But where can I see how many meters of asphalt or road I draw? Maybe, for example, I want to do a real 5km race, how can I figure out how long the route is if I don't see an indicator anywhere that shows me in meters or even in km, how many km of the route do I trace in Unreal 5?
hmmm good question. i will have to look into this. i've not tried anything like that before. might not be a bad ideal of getting heightmap data from a real world location of a place that has one of these.
just enter in M_MS_Srf, scroll out you i'll see albedo, look the first node, UV's, between basecolortetxture, you 'll add a "customrotator" and in rotation angle, you 'll add a constant, fixed. now you i'll UVS----Custom rotator-----BasecolorTexture
How do I make my spline affect the landscape? The terrain doesn't change at all, leaving a spline on top with no terrain below or it just sinks into the ground without changing the terrain.
Sounds like a potential bug? If you've added your spline the way I did in the video it should automatically change the landscape with the spline location

The rotation angle option does not show up :(

It's strange, everytime i make the road spline and I save, ue5 crashes xD
