Topic 2... a movie or something. Topic 3.... a question for the other person. Topic 4... an activity or plan of some sort. The one thing I did need because him and I were long distance most of the time and he needed more alone time than I did (and I like my alone time)... a weekly plan. Like when we'd talk, see each other, etc. That helped make it easier to know the other person was still into the other and not being avoided.

Guys are usually the biggest culprits with regard to text being a primary means of communication. Guys that do this often lack basic communication skills or they do it to keep certain aspects of their lives private(I.e., existing gf, wife, child, living situation\conditions). This form of communication is also often used to initiate sexual conversations. It’s easier for some guys to communicate sexual interests & desires through text vs vocally because it allows them to hide their motives as well as their emotions. So if I guy is constantly wanting to text then it should be an indication that he either lacks basic communication skills, he’s hiding something or that he has a hidden agenda that has not yet played out.

Women of all ages are so into this texting era that it throws me off when it comes time to have a convo over the phone. At first I thought it was just a young woman thing, but it isn't. Funny thing is, they're the ones who text me first and we're on for sometimes an hour or more. They say they love talking to me but in my mind We never "talk". Times are so weird these days with women so I just go with the flow. They're too difficult to figure out.

In my high school days i used to play songs from the cassette player or radio while on the phone to the chick i was talking to. It’s about connecting one another Never the same nowadays, it’s tasteless and colorless.

Personality vs Generational vs Convenience
1.) Personality. Some people prefer texting. Some prefer calling. Some prefer neither (only in person conversations). You can't really group all men nor can you can men "lazy" or "bad men" for not doing something that doesn't necessarily fit into their personality type.
2.) Generational. Younger people grew up on texting. Thus, they are more prone to want to text than call.
3.) Convenience. Not everyone wants to talk on the phone nor has the time to.
This isn't a gender or social thing. Some people just have anxieties. I personally HATE phone calls and I will avoid it if I can.

Im 25 & I got a 22-year-old boyfriend, & he calls me like every other day, & he txts me in the day time, im glad that were both old school in a way, phone calls are soo important.
Real men don't have time for texting. Little boys do. Women have to decide if they want a man or a boy.
I think if he doesn’t want to call you instead of texting all the time that means he’s ether talking to other multiple women or has a wife! Would like to keep it discreet as possible.

I work in sales so I talk to people all day long. At the end of my workday all I want to do is rest my voice so I prefer texting for that reason. Plus it's ok to call if it's something major. I'm an introvert too so texting allows for that quiet time that I long for at the end of the day.

I am awful at texting so I almost always call. It gets a funny reaction sometimes when women aren’t used to it.

Texing is great for quick info. A shopping list, milestone check, exchange address, informational stuff over small communication. It's not a conversation! First people, friends and family meet no more with telephone. Now with texting, they talk no more. So how does that help relationships grow? 😮
