I am a purple belt (7 years of training), i will definitely recommend this video to every white belt i know... u just showed in 8 minutes things that took me years of drilling and sparring to master, so for the white belts watching, don't put yourself down if this doesn't work immediately, give time, train and train, be happy.

The tips on side control prevention were amazing! I have a really hard time escaping side control and honestly I had no idea that stopping the arm from controlling your head was such a big deal until I watched this video, but now it makes a lot more sense. It was very instructive and I love that he teaches concepts rather than just the individual techniques.

Anyways, I'm a 2 1/2 year blue belt and the concept of stiff arming the far arm when my legs are passed is something that I've happen to found success in ( whether it be hip escaping out for a reset or getting into a comfortable guard ), and I never knew why or how it happened until watching this.
