    I have to admit, I was totally blown away with how good this software is. Will it replace photoshop, Lightroom or Capture One? I don't think it will, but I do know this...it is going to save me TONS of time and money retouching! I've never seen a true one clip fix program for any kind of editing or retouching (in some situations not all), but this program comes about as close as you can. I HIGHLY suggest checking it out!

    I use it for beauty headshot retouching and it’s pretty freakin awesome. I went ahead and purchased credits to give it a shot. I used to spend over an hour with Affinity Photo doing frequency separation, Dodging and burning, etc. This software has saved me a ton of time with detailed retouches. Now I do have to bring it into photoshop or Affinity at the end to get the stray hairs but other than that…game changer. Next, I want to try a headshot session without makeup and see how realistic I can get the model. Just haven’t had time to do it.

    Thank you Matt. Timing is everything. I've been following you for a while and was reviewing your recent videos mostly for sports photography which are incredibly helpful. I'm preparing to do my first "media day" shoot for my daughter's club volleyball team and those videos have given me so much inspiration and guidance. I stumbled across this one and sure enough, I needed something just like this for other photos. I downloaded it, tried it and in a few clicks I am absolutely blown away. Ignore the haters and negative content - people get triggered when they see an affiliate link for absolutely no reason. Keep making great content - much appreciated!

      Thank you so much! Don’t worry, I ignore anyone with pointless negative things to say. They’re getting free content that’s intended to help them so I’m not sure why they feel the need to be overly critical or hateful for no reason. Oh well…that’s on them!

    I had seen Evoto show up on my TH-cam feed before. But it wasn't until I watched your video that I realized how affordable it is and what an amazing job it did with photos. Game changing! Thanks Matt.

    Worked with it for the first time today on a kid's portrait. I wasn’t able to cleanly select the subect; even using the refine edge slider. Granted, the background was not a solid color. I got better results in PS. Also, the tool to remove dark circles under the eyes didn’t fade them enough even at setting 100.

    • @MattHernandez
      @MattHernandez  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m sorry to hear that! It definitely isn’t perfect but it gets me 95% there 99% of the time, and is a huge time saver. I wouldn’t use it for selections, that IS better in photoshop. I’d use it for retouching, which is what the video was really about. Give the retouching a shot and save the other stuff for PS for sure. Thank you for watching!

    Thanks Matt!! I see you are working on a banner image, have you printed any banners with the Evoto edits yet? Just wondering how the edits look when the images are enlarged. And, comparing Evoto to PS - was there anything that you still preferred PS for? Great video and great timing, senior season is here - and I was looking for ways to speed up my workflow. Definitely going to give this a try.

    • @MattHernandez

      Hi Kim! There’s no loss in quality at all when editing in Evoto compared to PS! Yes there are still a ton of things I will use PS for. Evoto, at least at this point, is more of a Lightroom/Photoshop combination than anything. While Evoto is amazing and I have already installed it into my retouching workflow, it can’t do a lot of things manually you can in PS. I’m not sure it will ever replace PS or LR totally, or at least not right now, but it is HUGE addition to anyone’s workflow that requires retouching.

  • @JuJuGrafiks

    I was sold until seeing that you can't sync across the board. Seems odd because you can sync all masks in Lightroom - even if they aren't the same person. Wondering if you set a custom preset, could you then apply that preset to the entire session as a baseline starting point? I may have to test it out. :-)

    • @jmarshallky
      @jmarshallky ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can save a preset for the one you are working on then apply it to another image from the project. Helps at least give you a baseline from the first edit to the other ones in the project. I use these exclusively for high end headshots so my lighting is similar across the shoot.

    • @JuJuGrafiks
      @JuJuGrafiks ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jmarshallky I was thinking that would work. I need a baseline edit for all and then can tweak individually if necessary.

    • @jmarshallky
      @jmarshallky ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JuJuGrafiks Yep! That has worked for me

    • @MattHernandez
      @MattHernandez  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can do that! It’s such a huge time savor you’ve got to try it. Even if you processed the images first in LR or CO with your presets that are already built you can still retouch them in Evoto. I think a lot of people will use it that way.

  • @ShoutAtMeElmo

    incredible. in reality, would you even retouch all those blemishes for young people? i mean it is a reality that its part of their lives for this period, and feels kind of odd to take all of it out - even though I understand it. What do you think?

    That pricing though 🧐

    • @MattHernandez
      @MattHernandez  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      5 to 7 cents per photo. I think that’s pretty good compared to the time it would take me or pay a retoucher, which would be $3 per photo minimum. Do you not agree?

  • @emiliethompson1276
    @emiliethompson1276 ปีที่แล้ว

    that first sync didn't work because you're going from a male to a female NOT because it's a different person. It won't sync female attributes to a male because it recognises the second image is a male and the male settings haven't been changed on the females settings

    SPONSORED by Evoto says it all! While you have an affiliate link.. so ofcourse your review isn't bias right? 👎

    • @MattHernandez
      @MattHernandez  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hahaha no I wasn’t 😂! I was 100% honest. They didn’t mandate I say anything, just review the software on a video. Just because someone does a review of a product and likes it doesn’t mean it was bias. You clearly haven’t tried it or you wouldn’t say that. If you do any kind of retouching you should give it a shot. Good luck and thank you for watching!
