Shame Bovey Tracey is now next to the road and what has happened to Moretonhampstead?.How far does the Heathfield line go and will it be restored for public use?
Great footage. This must be a Real "Whaleway train" coz you can here it singing as it passes by. ( 1:39 onwards ). This would be a great trip to do regularly for stressed out commuters, with that beautiful scenery it'd be a sure fire winner.
Great Video! I was on that train for the first run up to Heathfield. Good to know the journey has been uploaded to TH-cam. Hopefully all the doom mongers are wrong and this is not the final train up the Heathfield Branch!
hello friend what a cracking video love the hot and to see it on a preserved line in Devon tops it off for me. great camera angels. top video a must see. Peter from dagenham
Do you know what I find funny, people go out to video a train, but to get more then one shot of it, they then jump into a car, drive at high speed to the next place. My friend drives a stream train at weekends, but to go to work the rest of the week he drives his car on a 86 mile round trip for has he puts it "the train is always late and is to slow".
It's a shame this HST set never went over the PDSR to Kingswear.

Absolutely gutted that I missed this. I hope a HST returns to Heathfield again in the future.
